Good to be back on GT7. Lots of people were worried I had completely given up on the game as I hadn't posted in a while but it was simply a case of racing at the Nurburgring and also the release of Forza Motorsport.

They’ve changed the physics on the BMW. It used to be one of the most stable cars around corners and now it’s one bad over correction away from Barry R… I used the Porsche for this race. The genesis x is the meta but it’s also squirmy as well.
honestly i found you because i watched the gran turismo movie, wich made me realize that i had gran turismo 5 on the ps3, wich got me really interested in sim racing, keep up the good work👍
Its a sickness... a few years ago i started playing GTsport with motion steering. Now ive got a whole racing setup with VR wheek and pedals and now I'm still looking for upgrades. Sim racing is really fun and its great to be apart of it in these times when its getting closer and closer to real life.
Y'know this was actually a great video for me to see. I've been spinning in ACC a lot more than usual lately after a bit of a break and was feeling really unmotivated to practice. Great to see you Steve. You mentioned Petit Lemans last weekend at Atlanta. Connor Zilisch won both of the MX-5 races even though he didn't run the series because he ran TA2. 3 weekends back Connor Zilisch won the TA race on Saturday, and then the TA2 race Sunday. I think you could give him a run for his money.

Road Atlanta in GR3, a tricky combo. Also the only remotely interesting combo this week, so tougher competition in Race B this week. I feel you when it comes to loss of pace. I've been playing motorcycle games for a while now. Hopping back on GT with the wheel felt almost foreign for a while. Breaking distance is so much shorter in a car plus you don't have to wait for the lean before you turn, it's immediate lol

I was in a lobby with a guy with an E rating his contact was definitely rated E for everyone made the Frenchman in this video look like a suburban mom with a baby on board.
@@crownedsmiley4207 that guy who had an E rating was trying to make contact I watched him take out two cars in front of me and I tried to be as tricky as possible passing selling a massive dummy and he just full speed rammed me the next corner. But yeah it was a really difficult track. I felt a bit better about it seeing all the people in S rated lobbies spinning all over the place
I find the gt3 m6 to be a very planted car, but you just have to be very delicate with it thru the corners as any surge of power tends to spin it. Either a slow climb or blipping the throttle on and off helps it get around.

I'm not much of an online player but have been trying it in GT7 lately. I always prioritise not hitting anyone and avoid corner crunching even if I have to hold back. To be fair I'm as amateur as it gets so I'm not winning any races regardless. The pattern that usually happens is that I'll get a handleful of idiots playing bumper cars... A couple of them will try to dive bomb me or push me off the track... It backfires and they go off themselves... They drop out and I end gaining places just because of those idiots.
Don't give up on GT7 @superGT! We love you! PS I also took a break from GT7 and have been having a difficult time competing in the daily races with where my standing was...
I can feel the frustration, i had so many days where i would come back to playing a game i haven't played in a while and get absolutely crushed, now i know it's a matter of time it comes back, but i quit fps games before because of this
This is only with high driver rating and safety rating tho. Still, better racing than forza since penalties are far more strict and forza SR can be easily grinded
@@HuyLe-yt8pwI had one really bad race with a guy who had an E SR rating but even as a new player who had pretty much the default SR at the start of those daily races I had mostly clean races. I think it might have to do with the GT movie but so many people I was racing with were also new
Are you just done with GT7 on PSVR2? I mean, doesn’t it enhance the experience more and really match the real life effect of having a helmet on and seeing more?
VR in general is a nice but expensive goofy that is fun for 2 weeks but then you just return to normal gaming. Take it from a loser that dropped 1k on a steam Index...
I brought a meta quest 2 played half life alyx on it and haven’t really used it since. Vr is a fun idea and fun for a few weeks but when you just want to chill out and just relax and play some games you don’t really wanna have to deal with the hassle of vr
I just got a ps5 gt7 and a sim race rig in large part due to this channel. Right as he took a month off from gt7😂 this is the first time seeing him do a daily race I did
I think some of the issues is that Steve has been getting used to getting feedback from an actual car instead of just thr steering wheel so loosing those sources of feedback helped to cause so many of those spins.
Road Atlanta is tough, not many places where the car really feels settled with all the off camber elevation changes and tall curbs. I still haven’t got gold on the final circuit experience test for that, had to take a break for awhile.
As a born frenchman, I apologise on behalf of some of the countrymen you encounter through your sessions, Steve. I wish ego wouldn’t get in the way of sportsmanship. Love the content, mate, it was nice to see you getting back in there.
Road Atlanta is one of those tracks where TC matters, a lot. Just a ‘lil TC on, like 1 or 2, and 90% of those spins wouldn’t have happened. Real GT3 cars are basically undriveable without TC.
This is like that episode of your favorite series where the villains capture the hero's friend and everything is going sour. Next episode, the hero saves the day, I'm sure. I'm gonna tell my grandkids bout it.

That player DTS_Ludz was an exemplar of the problem with the daily races. Despite (literally) forcing cars off the track left & right, they still have an S Sport rating.
That corner before the back straight on Road Atlanta is the bane of everyone's life. It's kind of like turns 3 and 4 at Laguna Seca. Almost impossible to get right. That guy seemed to be driving like a GT drivatar....

just started forza, really getting well with the genre, think needs improvments, but really really, fun if you have xbox or pc, forza its a must. from what i have seen gt7 looks top notch. wish i cpuld hace a ps5 aswell :(
Forza's community is a lot more "argey bargey." Most people don't care about having a clean respectable race. On top of that, the handling is just different. Forza still has the problem where even gt3 cars will enter a slide just going into corners where the car definitely should not be sliding. I grew up playing Forza and ever since 5 it's been complete recycled shit with no improvements whatsoever. From them removing tracks, to them not changing the driving physics in any meaningful way, it's been a complete shit show.

Crazy pace difference. I need a near perfect lap to get a 19.7 with the 458. 17.7 with little practice/recent play time is nuts. Hats Off Mr. Super GT
Its weird on these games as wheels always go round faster than a controller even if both laps are identical
They're not identical then. I'd imagine having much finer control and force feedback allows you to maximize grip on every turn.

They updated the physics last update. Curbs are more punishing and rear stability from oversteer correction is more difficult to recover.

Think issue was change in elevation during turns. Switching direction over all those “tiny hills” takes a toll on grip.

Apparently most players lose pace when playing with VR compared to normal. Since he's doing Sport races, that extra pace is important

Literally me today in the LMP car in Forza. I couldn't tame the rear end for 3 races. I was fastest in quali but crashed multiple times during races.
The GTR was also good but like you said the Genesis was the go to still a fun race to drive.

Forza still has the problem where even gt3 cars will enter a slide just going into corners where the car definitely should not be sliding. I grew up playing Forza and ever since 5 it's been complete recycled shit with no improvements whatsoever. From them removing tracks, to them not changing the driving physics in any meaningful way, it's been a complete shit show.
@@bbbbbbb51did you watch the video? SuperGT literally was sliding around almost every corner to the point of spinning out. And when he was playing forza he had zero spins in the group b cars and was close racing.
Also was in this video he spun out by a rammer..... in a high rank lobby.
