Same here. I was only 3 years old when I played this Legendary Video Game from back in the 90s. Wish I could be a Kid again though man. Never forget History of old Classics Legendary Video Games that were great & the best.
@@rollinloc7020you cannot. Only the first release of the PS3 can play PS1 and PS2 games. PS5 can only play PS4 and PS5 games. You can buy and stream a library of older games but the quality isn’t the greatest. PlayStation has somehow not yet figured out backwards compatibility.
I remember getting a demo of this i believe of a playstation magazine or from pizza hut. I have had a blast with all the ape escape games. Heres to hope more will be made
Thank you so much for this. Monkey madness/spector land always gave me chills as a kid with the music. I also loved the monkey alone in the arcade room.
I still remember the unconventional way I learned to hold the controller as a kid to play this like a pro gamer.. With the palm on the right analog stick for all the item interactions, clawing the right side of the controller like an absolute ape. But i felt it was by game design- As I looked like an absolute champ spinning through the air with the sword or net, insta helicoptering.. I cant find a playthrough that plays as smoothly as I was at 9 years old..

Played this initally on a demo disc. Rented it later, and loved it. Very cool game to play. You know, if Sony uploaded these games (emulator style?) to PSN, they'd make a killing. I've wanted to play Tomb Raider so bad, but I haven't found a decent PS1 anywhere. Not even a PS2.
Sometimes I feel like the background song from Primordial Ooze (The Lost Land- Level 2) is a way to describe rain to a blind person. But my favorite theme songs from this game were those in: Snowy Mammoth, and Sushi Temple. I also loved Crabby Beach (Oceana- Level 1.) Especially knocking out those little crabs just for fun, until I realized at the same time they also release ammo for the slingback shooter. I hated Dexter's Island, but I gotta admit the background music in that level was kinda catchy, especially the one from Frosty Retreat
24:36 ahw I dont remember monkeys with dark blue pants looking sad. i just wanted to hug him. I wanted to hug all moneys with light blue pants in this game series actually. They look like lost puppies. Edit: Oh my I actually saw more sad looking dark blue monkeys later. I guess I'm just very used to dark blue monkeys wearing those ski masks (or whatever they are called? they kind of look like diving specs?) so you can't see their eyes.
I'm looking at the time stamp list for this Longplay, and it does not mention the minigames, which I haven't completed. Yet I have all Gold Medals, all clear stages, and all the bosses defeated...yet I'm still at only 99.8% completion. I don't know what it is I'm missing.
@@GameKai51 I realized the saves show you all progress with L1 and R1, and I'm apparently just missing a Specter Coin. 59/60. And double checking...yeah I missed one on Dexter's Island.
@@GameKai51 Ah, that explains it. I was stuck on that section for an embarrassingly long amount of time (at least 15 minutes), but I eventually managed to get to the top the normal way, using the vines.

Man, this game’s got such a great soundtrack. So much good DnB!
This is one of the best videos games I've ever played. I love it! 💖💯It could be awesome if we can play this one on PS4, and with better graphics.

Today we can play it on ps4
