Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti (Naples, 26 October 1685 - Madrid, 23 July 1757) was an Italian composer who spent much of his life in the service of the Portuguese and Spanish royal families. He is classified primarily as a Baroque composer chronologically, although his music was influential in the development of the Classical style and he was one of the few Baroque composers to transition into the classical period. Like his renowned father Alessandro Scarlatti, he composed in a variety of musical forms, although today he is known mainly for his more than 500 keyboard sonatas. One of these keyboard sonatas is known as Scarlatti Sonata in d minor k 213. The character of this wonderful Scarlatti Sonata in d minor k 213 is marked as "affettuoso" by Domenico Scarlatti himself.

nature and humanity are awash in limitless hues,
nature’s palette colors the heavens and earth anew...

I’ve always wondered if others see things in their mind’s eye as they listen to music. I have synesthesia, which positively manifests in musical colors and shapes and in writing, but made high school and college torture in math... I’ve since learned to use the synesthesia with math as well. Music is so emotional that I feel words fail it, as most composers have felt with a great many quotes to support that belief, but I love to try and open my vocabulary to the extreme and attempt to find words that, at the least, are worthy of comparison to the greatest gift to mankind, music!

I guess I had heard this majestic sonata, also known as "The Lover", before in Guitar transcription, while it is originally composed for Keyboard.
Its melody and your playing is all the time in my ears. It was played with grace and elegance.
Once you performed it as the Encore of your concert, I was so much left in amazement I could not recognize it was Scarlatti (and not Bach or any other Baroque composer). After watching and listening such highly technical Liszt and Chopin this was a really nice surprise; intelligently chosen.
