the claustrophobic joke to me tho just reads as it being part of his machismo meathead thing that april, and thus the movie as a whole, refutes. also the "i never even looked at a guy" is such a funny and insecure way to deny it that i think that while the boys and april could in theory refute him more, it really just makes the homophobia seem like an irrational thing that casey holds instead of the framing of the movie supporting it
Non sequitur (I added your video to the top of my Playlist) but today I realized that the standard church format bores me. It's so boring that I am sooner inclined to sleep or fidget due to the bombardment of discomfort and ranting. I've come to the conclusion that my most enjoyable moment in church was when I fell asleep during a service as I hadn't slept the previous day. Perhaps much like these turtles I am a mutant for though I have an imperfect zeal and fanaticism sheathed in hypocrisy and paradox I yet believe. Turtles poop string.
