    Again Dave, another interesting vid. Cant wait to see the finished job. How about another vid on interesting places and walks that you did in the north east? It's been a while, and the weather is now more permitting. Love your work!

    Thanks for the video, Dave. Your roof looks good. I did my roof in panels because I had trouble doing a large area like that in one go on my own.

      Thanks a lot. I'm very fortunate to have a big workshop where I can make these things. I'm going to try making the furniture for the van in one piece in the workshop and then fitting it in the van. Thanks for watching.

    Great build enjoying following along. I’m about to buy a 2015 vivaro and really want to do a floating roof similar to this. The carpet to roof transition looks clean without cladding on the walls. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

      Yes I like to contrast between the light wood and the grey of the carpet. Good luck with your conversion and thanks for watching.

      Thanks a lot Kyle I'm glad you like the videos and if you want to use any of the ideas in your own van that is totally okay. That's why I put the videos up, I hope others will like them and that they will be useful to anyone doing the same thing. Good luck with the van build I hope it works out well and thanks for watching.

    Nice one Dave. So is this the third van now? I've just got a 2014 Trafic SWB to convert. First time so I'm learning loads and loving it. Early stages, still cleaning up and planning. (a lot of planning😀) Took some tips from you so thanks for what you do mate.

      Hi Jon, This is the fourth van and it's going to look a bit different to the others. Hoe your own conversion goes well and your right it's all in the planning. Hope the videos help. Thanks for watching

    Great video again. Could I ask how you did the top edges between the walls and the flat part of the ceiling. Also how did you deal with the vehicle loom that runs along the top sides of the wall. Think your idea is brilliant and want to do something similar. Thanks

    • @dave-watson
      @dave-watson  Год назад

      Hi John, The edges are made with 5.5mm ply I cut 150mm strips and screwed them to the ceiling batons and when it cam to the carpeting I left enough overhang at the top to cover the ply strips. With the loom I had to make that side strip of ply a little more narrow to accommodate the depth of the loom covering and once the carpet was in place I made a cut in it running down the loom covering for access if needed. Hope that all makes sense...I'll video it if I make another ceiling like this one. Thanks for watching.
