I have had 30 years of making and installing kitchens . My friend you are superb in what you do by far the best campervan work ive seen big love and respect from the UK.
This is easily the very best van kitchen I have ever, ever seen. What incredible attention to detail and planning. Massive congrats on the final result, it's beautiful. Amazing job.
As a professional cabinet builder, I can appreciate the craftsmanship. For real, gorgeous, and really well thought out! As a vanlifer, though, I cant help but notice all the wasted space to the left of the drawer boxes. Really need to utilize every square inch possible when building a van. I always build vans in European style. Never face frame. At least not with cabinets that gets drawers.
craftmanship is the word: wonderful how you build, and create this beautifull video too. THANKS for your contribution - best i have seen on youtube world !!!
Dude that was awesome literally could not stop watching the build. If that had be me attaching the those adhesive surfaces, I would have become apart of it as I would have glued myself to it.
Excellent results! Please consider wearing safety glasses when using power tools. It only takes one accident to lose your sight. And it sets a good example for beginners. Keep up the good work.👍💪
Super nice. I’ll mention that if you’re going to laminate as a finish, you could save about $30 per sheet of plywood by using BCX or lessor grade…. And it’s just as stable once laminated. 🤘🏼
It's actually really educational just to watch you work - I'm learning a lot of little tricks to make things easier and less of a headache. You're an efficient woodworker and clearly know what you're doing. Your use of clamps to hold boards in place / prop them up to attach to one another and just the way you do things seems to come naturally to you, but I'm sure it's the result of a lot of experience. Thanks for the video!
I could watch you work all day! You have a very precise working method and the finished cabinet is fabulous! I wish you were in the UK, so I could commission you to make one exactly like that for my van. You have a real talent for what you do!
A very inventive cabinet with a Swiss knife functionality. Very nice looking cabinet. I liked the hidden drawers and spice racks, that was novel. The cabinet work was superb! What I did not like however, was precisely what everyone was raving about - the black and white vinyl wallpaper you stuck on in lieu of painting. 1. Wallpaper over paint: costs more than paint, takes longer to mount, and not as robust as oil or epoxy paints. There is a class of paints in the epoxy line, or polyurethane line, that have a very durable finish - almost like a ceramic coating on wood. These can be roller brushed on or sprayed with less work and are very durable in all terrain and weather. 2. When you use high quality Marine grade birch plywood, you show allow the grain to show and cover it with paint. I think though the reason you covered it all up is due to the shortcuts you took building it. All drawers were nailed together in butt joints. No Kreg jig used for hidden joinery. When the nails were showing, you covered it up with wallpaper not paint. You lost the warmth and beauty of the wood grain, sadly. 3. When you use 1" thick wood, you add a lot of weight to the van, but it's that thick for a reason. You need that thickness to make Kreg joints, hidden from view, or to hang drawer extensions, and make cuts for shelves. In this case, since you used no Kreg joints, why make it this thick? 3/4" wood would suffice. You can also built frame in 3/4" wood, then use 1/8" plywood sheeting over that for the non-structural panels. I don't think 1" wood was necessary. 4. The sink and faucet are gorgeous. One mistake you made there: leaving the undermount edge of sink visible and sticking out. I also did not see any sealing under the joint. What is going to happen is that water will splash on that ledge, and seep in under the wood countertop, and you will have mold and rot to counter. If the sink cutout had been flush with sink, there would be less chance of wood damage. It is missing caulk the way it is.
To be fair. I wouldn't be surprised if he has to make a living out of it. A very good paintjob is probably much more expensive then his solution. Drooling over wood grain, dovetail joints etc etc is nice. But how many people are willing to pay a fair price for those details? His solution will probably hold up as long as the life of the van. It all seems stronger then what I've seen here in Europe from big camper factories. I think he has a nice way of working for it both to be strong and durable yet still keeping cost in mind.
The laminate is easy to clean looks sleek. Working with quality wood underneath allows him to to focus on the end result without worrying about voids or gaps.
This is great! Thank you for making this well edited video of how you make curved surfaces. True artistry. Also appreciate the list of what you used. You said so little yet said so very much. Well done!
Wow! This is next level cool 🤩and it has been placed at the top of my "I need this in my own van-build"-list. Congratulations and I will be checking out your other videos for more amazing inspiration. Thanks!
Wow what ! Clever way & use of storage especially the pullout extra space cook top! &! Hidden underneath side space, for oils ect. Most definitely the wow factor…..
just adding that curve made this build 5x more complicated. But the end result speaks for itself. Also, why do you have so little subbies... This is awsome work bro
Top skills with top results. Congratulations. On the other side I thought that you said you were not going to use any professional tools! Kkkk But you used very expensive and highly professional Festo tools, worth many thousands of dollars.
I have had 30 years of making and installing kitchens . My friend you are superb in what you do by far the best campervan work ive seen big love and respect from the UK.
That looks incredible. The only thing I would add is an insert for the sink to be able to use it as extra work space.
This is easily the very best van kitchen I have ever, ever seen. What incredible attention to detail and planning. Massive congrats on the final result, it's beautiful. Amazing job.
Wow! This is brilliant. The best kitchen build I have seen after watching over 500 RUclips van build videos.

You did a really great job with this cabinet 😀👍
"I'm only going to be using some basic woodworking tools". Then he proceeds to whip out the Festool track saw :)
😂😂😂Funny, Festool is no basic tool. Most expensive tool, premium tool on the market.
Not to mention all the other gubbins! ....That's a fully fledged workshop. @BiZ3Designs
Wow that is really nice work . I wish I had the space to do work like that for my van and also some of them tools too.
That was absolutly beautiful. Thanks for sharing this one!
