Thanks for posting this. Exactly my problem. I Bought the exact same model new 10 years ago. However, I don’t seem to have a spark arrester fitted. There’s no screw to undo to remove the gauze strip unlike yours. There’s an indent but no thread or screw. It looks as though it must be built in? I’m in the uk so maybe it’s different here. I think I bought it new in 2012. I shall have to see if the screen filter or the jet in the carb is blocked. If that doesn’t work I will replace whole carb. I’ve changed the spark plug , air filter and fuel filter every couple of years - only gets light use each year so fingers crossed s m not a mechanic!
No worries. Yes mine was bought new about 15 years or more ago so they may have changed the design. Seems strange that you can't access it somehow. Good luck with it! I'm no mechanic either I just know some basics
