    I bought this one and the over and under smoker. I need to season it and get it ready for this weekend. Great pits and worth the money

      Same here. Subscribe to the Academy email list and you'll get 10% off the first $200 then an additional 5% with the Academy card. I'll probably pull the trigger doing this.

    I just saw this today at the local academy here in San Antonio, and man I’m ready to buy one.

      How was the quality? They don’t have them listed online. This video and the bbqhq listing with no pictures is the only evidence I can find that exists. I’ll probably run up to academy tomorrow and take a look around lol

    This is NOT a santa maria grill. Having the wheel to rise and lower the grill doesn't make it a Santa Maria grill. It's the depth fir the fire box. A deep fire box with no vents which cause a smokier fire. The Arentinian grills have a much shallower fire because they cook of the coals that have burned down and have little to no flame. Huge difference between thre styles. This grill is a budget friendly Argentina grill just like it says.

      Argentinian grills have brasero - Santa Maria's don't. This is a Santa Maria grill. It doesn't have a brasero

    Have you ever though of adding firebrick to the Vaquero or would that be an issue? Thank you for the cool video review.

    I wanted to buy one of these but didn't see a door for the removal of old ash. Is it easy to clean?

      They have to coal bed trays that you can just remove and dump the ash. There are also 2 drip holes on the bottom of the pit so you can hang a drip bucket.

    Nice review! Can you tell if the metal is 1/16'' or 1/4''? Thank you!

    I purchased mine and Just after two months it got extremely rusty. Not worth it. 😡

      When you burn it, it will re-season itself. Mine does that and once I burn it in for a bit - it's good to go.

    Is there any way to regulate airflow?

    • @AlLunacyQing
      @AlLunacyQing  Год назад

      The coal bed tables are vented and underneath the box there is 2 drain holes. If the fire is too hot you just raise the grill grate. I am getting ready to add ceramic bricks to the box to add more heat retention. Will be shooting video this weekend.
