I love Hipcamp and have stayed at several in Texas, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. I guess it all depends on the site, but I've stayed in quite a few amazing ones.
This looks so cool! I’m really thinking about turning my one acre lot that I own in Arizona in the middle of nowhere into a hip camp and see if people like it 😊
I've had a lot of luck with Hipcamp. Love, love, love the site you're staying in, I'll have to save that for the next trip to the NW. Great video, beautiful shots and editing as always! Thanks guys.
Hi! I am looking into purchasing a Pika as well for my 2 door JK. Looks like the best option out there for under 2,000lbs. Can you let me know how yours is holding up with use? Had two specific questions, does the galley leak in the rain and is there a way to add a rain gutter to prevent? Also, it looks like a piece of the inside trim has separated over the cargo net?
Holding up great! Just have the one trim issue after a couple years of use. If it's raining we usually just throw our canopy or a rain fly over the back 👍🏻
I just looked into Hip Camp sights in Iowa. Could not believe how expensive they are!!! Seriously asking 40-50$ per night to throw a tent or whatever in a field? No thanks
Yeah, prices range widely across the country. We've seen some in Washington over $100. Good options for big groups and alternatives when options are limited but yes, totally understand
As a Hipcamp Host -- can say that folks should look at reviews carefully...a few folks will strike up an area without being campers themselves and the experience they create is a failure because of things around the "site" -- like noise pollution and/or not having enough privacy. -- Hosts have no control over the reviews given by users. If users say "don't use it" then trust their post-use opinions are a warning to future folks doing a search. A new place could be great but be ready for a let-down if the hosts are more "in it for the $$" rather than sharing their land in a great plan -- like seen here.

What’s did you use to cover the interior windows for privacy and light blocking?
Hey Andrew! We had window curtains added to our build with Timberleaf
