I sooooo needed this today :) I got all the same options that Matt mentioned so I’m excited to try them out. Great job on the review I love all the details that y’all touch on👌🏻
Thanks for all your videos. You've inspired me to buy a square top camper. It's the runaway camper. I got the range runner model which is 6X8 on the inside. It doesn't have a kitchen but I plan on stealing some of your ideas for a set up if that's ok. Once again thanks for all the information you've given me and my wife.
Great review on the Timberleaf! I’m looking into a Aero Teardrop. I like your recommendations and will more than likely have those put on the Aero Teardrop. Love your channel!
Are the rails for the curtains pop riveted on? I have some clips holding my curtain rods up. They had double sided tape. The heat in Texas was too much for the double sided tape. And I suspected it would be. I reinstalled the clips using E6000 glue (great stuff.) If that failed (it hasn't so far) my next option was to pop rivet. My only hesitation is the door panel is just a plastic sheet.
Thanks for the review...so clear and full of information. I'm curious about the collapsible sink/water container. Is that a single unit? I'd love to know who makes it and where you found it.
Hello, Loved the video and we just picked up our classic and we couldn't be happier. I do have one question for you though...did you get the mattress upgrade option with your trailer? And is it actually 8" thick?
Hey Gregory! You can but not fully. In some more recent videos we show a changing room/bathroom tent we use for that. Lots of great options out there 👍🏻
I assume there are bug screens for the windows and exhaust fans? Just over the border here in B.C. looking for something like this for my two door Rubicon.
7 minutes 50 some seconds in the video did you put that fly effect sound in or did camera pick the sound up and then you the blew away the bug that was funny Whether planned or not.
It is insulated with R-7 insulation on the walls and ceiling. Waterproof (except for occasional condensation of course) and dust proof. It's actually sealed so well that when everything is shut and the fan is on, you can hear the pressure affect the fan speed when shutting a door. Hope that makes sense. They do of course have a couple vents to promote some air flow when all is shut 😉
Nice teardrop. I do have a general comment about these "walkaround" videos. If you show someone around a house, you might show them into the room, talk about the size, orientation, natural light, the "feel" of the room, and so on. You might discuss the colours on the wall, and built in furniture. You don't open the door and then start discussing the sockets.............so why on earth do these walkarounds focus so much on some thing so trivial?
Hi Michael, thanks for watching! We went with the Pika primarily because that worked best with our Jeep towing capacity, no regrets. If you can pull more, would like more space/storage (and have the budget) the Classic is a great option.
Great video as usual guys! Do you have the Lithium battery or the marine battery, and what prompted you to buy the one you have. I have a Kestrel on order for Summer 2023
Thank you!! We went with the standard AGM mainly to keep price down and the fact that we've never run out of juice with that setup. If money wasn't an issue would definitely do the Battleborn lithium though. More power, lighter weight 👌🏻
Thanks for your reply. I ordered the AGM battery myself. I was apprehensive about ordering the lithium battery because I heard that due to different chemistries it could damage the tow vehicles battery and alternator. Do you have any insight on this potential issue? By the way my tow vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler as well.
I don’t know if you’ll see this comment or not since it’s not a new video. I am new to the channel and I’ve watched discipline the second or third video. Videos are great but the ads that are appearing during the videos and sometimes before the videos are highly offensive about sexual content. (A man’s private parts). I certainly have not ordered those kinds of advertisements since I am a 75-year-old woman, I was highly offended. I just thought you should know because I don’t normally get those kinds of ads.
Thank you so much for letting us know about the ads. We will definitely look into whether we can restrict any of the ads RUclips shows. We appreciate your support of our channel, and thank you for watching our videos!
No one's ever gotten back to me that fast.. Love the camper.. Mine will be done in the spring.. My buddy in New York is making it for me.
Lol, we try!! ☺️ Nice!! You'll have to send us a picture when it's done! We absolutely love our Timberleaf Pika
It’s a beautiful trailer, I love the blue color.
Thank you!!
Beautiful trailer. We love how you make your videos fun. You crack us up over here. 😅

Love your camping ,thanks

Runaway is a very good camper. I bought a 4x8 back in 2015. Put many miles on it, many good memories.
Just checked them out. Looks great and light weight 👍🏻
@@billleland957 I like that it's like a blank canvas and I can fix it anyway I need it.
Great video thanks for sharing

Thank you! Those are great trailers as well! Wish you the best with your new build!!
Love this setup!
We can't get enough!!
Great video. Very informative. I have a question. Can you fully open the Jeep's tailgate while you're hooked up to the teardrop?
Thanks, Randy! We can with just a couple inches to spare. Perfect fit 👍🏻
@@WheresWiseman Thank you! That would be a deal breaker for me if the tailgate couldn't be fully swung open.. Good to know!

Hey Bill! They are attached with small screws 👍🏻 Going to have to check out that glue!

Our pleasure! Thanks for watching! We have the links in the description of this video ruclips.net/video/_QYREQEkF48/видео.html hope that helps!
@@WheresWiseman You guys are the best! "Camping kindred spirits" if ever there were. I'll be watching your videos as soon as they come out.
Hello,
Loved the video and we just picked up our classic and we couldn't be happier. I do have one question for you though...did you get the mattress upgrade option with your trailer? And is it actually 8" thick?
Congrats!! We did not, just went with the standard. Haven't actually measured it though.
Can you kneel up in the trailer? I assume you'd use a separate screen room or popup for dressing etc?
Hey Gregory! You can but not fully. In some more recent videos we show a changing room/bathroom tent we use for that. Lots of great options out there 👍🏻
I assume there are bug screens for the windows and exhaust fans? Just over the border here in B.C. looking for something like this for my two door Rubicon.
Yep! Screens all around 👍🏻
7 minutes 50 some seconds in the video did you put that fly effect sound in or did camera pick the sound up and then you the blew away the bug that was funny Whether planned or not.
🤣🤣🤣 Honestly probably both! I definitely remember a bug going directly in my mouth lol
and my Jeep is blue too!!
I didn’t see a spare tire for your trailer. Is there one on the bottom?
Yes, it's underneath
Where in Washington are you guys located? My wife and I are looking at these and would like to see one in person?
Seattle
@@WheresWiseman Just realized you guys have 2 and rent one out. We might have to do this and see if it will work for us! So cool! We are in Tacoma.
How is the PIKA cabin insulated ? Are they waterproof and dust proof ? Insulated well enough ? Thanks

Thank you for the great video , I saw another video for you with a grey teardrop ? Did you change it ?
Our pleasure! Yep 👍 This is our second one
May I ask why did you replace it with another PIKA having the same model and features ? Any issues with the grey one ?
Mainly, because we love their trailers. No issues, just found a few more things we wanted to add/change, i.e. suspension, heater, hitch for rack, etc.

Thank you! Chevron blue 👍🏻
Just wondering if you would be willing to provide a link for the wheel that Matt mentioned?

@@WheresWiseman perfect! Thank ya so much 👌🏻 I’m looking now for last minute must haves since my kestrel is soon to be built 😃
thanks for the video. i have not got mine yet and am have trouble deciding between the Pika and Classic. You you have regrets not getting the classic?
Hi Michael, thanks for watching! We went with the Pika primarily because that worked best with our Jeep towing capacity, no regrets. If you can pull more, would like more space/storage (and have the budget) the Classic is a great option.
@@WheresWiseman I would assume that the Pika does not effect the gas mileage of the tow vichle as drastically. I want to pull one from Mn to Alaska.
Sounds like an amazing trip!! Hoping to do the same from Washington soon. We lose about 1.5-2 mpgs on average.
@@WheresWiseman that and the extra 12 grand 😂

What is the total height including the fan and roof rack? Asking due to my garage limitations.
Hi Soumen! Sorry for the delay! The Pika with off road package and rack is exactly 6 feet 👍🏻
Does this have a full size spare tire? Also where is the spare located?
Howdy! It is not full size but we do have one underneath the trailer 👍🏻
Awesome, thanks!
