Song challenge: cover the next massive #1 pop song on acoustic guitar with an obnoxiously well-shot music video of you looking like you feel every lyric
Jesus...I don't think people realize the amount of editing it takes to accomplish this like WOW....unless you have like a twin and are not saying it! lol...awesome vid..
Kirk Armstrong Well, as a beginner vfx artist myself i'd say it just takes some planning and then 30 minutes of simple masking. I am not saying it's lazy, he was great at keeping the lighting correct and not moving that darn sandwich.
@@deto8774 he didn't have to touch the sandwich at all apart from what was shown in the video. everything is completely linear here. if instead of walking out at 2:35 his clone would have sat down to eat the sandwich, THAT would've been difficult to achieve (because then the sandwich would've needed to be moved for his entrance at 1:58 where he walked behind the then empty table). funnily enough he actually has a few videos that are a lot more complicated vfx-wise and i'm pretty sure he does all of it himself so to comment about his editing skills on this video specifically is... an interesting choice haha
the song challenges in the beginning in order: 1) an electropop dancehall cover of "still alive" with gunshot sounds. 2) play a chopin waltz with only kazoos and a drum kit 3) a song where the drum beat is you just punching people 4) a french house song about french houses 5) a song where the lyrics are a mnemonic for the first 101 digits of pi 6) pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows 7) watch the ellen degeneres show and use every fifth word she says as lyrics 8) make a song that will motivate me to exercise more 9) a song about disco vampires with a kickass tuba solo 10) a fast rap song that explains the higgs boson 11) combine bebop with new wave and sing about your last meal 12) make a folk song that modulates up a semitone every thirteen beats 13) dubstep hamburgers would be the best thing ever 14) record a ukulele duet with bobby mcferrin 15) sing about your destiny while riding a saber tooth tiger 16) make a trap beat exclusively using samples of boats exploding 17) these ideas are really silly good thing it's just for this intro 18) a song that tells me how to defend against zombies 19) perform a choral rendition of a heavy metal song 20) make a song that samples every alcohol reference in a billboard top 10 hit from 2010 21) cover a classic 80's band in a dubstep/electro style
It technically just makes the planning more problematic but the editing should just be same. However I get your point :P He must have been trying to impress us hard!
1. Happy to see someone sing/reference any a-Ha song besides "Take On Me". They really had a lot of songs that, unfortunately, have been ignored by the American audiences and media outlets. 2. Not usually too keen on dubstep, but I actually like this one.
I remember when this vid came out 3 years ago, (I was 11) and I remember my mind being blown, but now I hear it again, and I'm still blown away by it...
Just wanna pop in and tell you how much trouble I have picking only a few of your videos to put in my Favorites. The sheer ingenuity that oozes from every crevice of your work puts me in awe almost every single time. Props, man.
for some reason I had completely forgotten about this glorious piece. the music is absolutely beautiful, and I can't get enough of the melody line after the drop. not to mention the video is great - what interesting sandwich eating. and the little finger waving towards the prop with the tinkly synth is such a nice touch. also your, dance moves are brilliant. the next time I'm forced to a party I will be doing those. thank you, Andrew.
Speaking from a personal point of view, it's generally not an issue if one isn't making a profit on it. There are no ads on the video and the song is available for free. Therefore, it's unlikely he'd get sued and the worst that might happen is forced ads on the video and blocking from some countries.
I love this mix, I always listen to the original and then listening to your mix. Anyways I was in my music class and where learning about country music, country music isn't that good! But imagine it with dubstep! Challenge: make a country dubstep mix. Cheers
I am beyond impressed. I always love your editing. It really shows you take the time to make a truly great product. I wish I could learn how to edit like you. I would then, of course, also have to be as talented.
This song gives me chills, in an AMAZING way. GREAT JOB MAN! You are my fav! Keep up your excellent productions, I ALWAYS look forward to your video releases. Thanks for the inspiration!
I am in awe! That was one of the most original and amazing uses of wub wubs I have ever heard! You are awesomely talented! Every new sound you come up with blows my mind! I am indeed a Andrew Huang fan.
Really hardcore dancing lol 1:09 but Andrew did a great job w/ the song. He does a great job turning something that someone knows and makes it his that's just awesome
I thought you said you weren't going to do another one of these videos! No, but really, this was great, and I'm glad you did. And even without the fantastic video, I loved the song!
This song still gets me so pumped even though I've listened to it idk how many times. And the part in the video with the sandwich ugh, I don't know how hard it was to do that, but it looks like complete witchcraft.
OH MY GOD this is The Sun Always Shines on TV by Aha! (The Take on Me guys) and its one of my favorite songs of all-time!!! This is so cool! Keep it up!
+Andrew Huang #SongChallenge Recreate the first Pokémon theme with only using the Pokémon's in-game cries from Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow - only Pikachu's anime cry for Pikachu can be used as well.
I'm pretty sure at this point that I've given this video at least 100,000 of its views in the past three years. This has to be one of my favorites of Andrew Huang.
Andrew, that was extremely rude. You just sat down and ate Andrew's sandwich that he was making for Andrew. Not cool bro, not cool.
Andrew seemed confused why he was making the sandwich while they were singing though....3:19
+Adolf Hitler I think it was the sheer disappointment of the lack of mayonnaise! The only real truth to a sandwich.
MCLegoboy actually the one who ate it was the one who brought the moving dresser thing
It's Andrew's fault for just leaving it lying around.
"Made for Andrew, by Andrew".
Now do this backwards. Modern Dub song covered as an 80s song :)
Andrew Loeppky yes.
I know this song is old but cinema by skrillex would actually be amazing as an 80's song.
It would just sound the same
thats what Barely Alive & Virtual Riot seid lol

De To It'd actually just be a simple mask. Just keep the lighting consistent

I thought I sensed a lack of Wub in my sandwich...
The dance is so good but so funny
Same with me
I'm blown away by the video masterpiece even more than the musical one...
I love how he does all that emotional singing and stuff...and then just sits and eats a bagel
This is officially my favorite video of someone making a sandwich. Really love the music along with it too, adds a bit of flair.
THE EDITING THIS MUST HAVE TAKEN.
You sure make sandwiches more complicated than they need to be!
the song challenges in the beginning in order:
1) an electropop dancehall cover of "still alive" with gunshot sounds.
2) play a chopin waltz with only kazoos and a drum kit
3) a song where the drum beat is you just punching people
4) a french house song about french houses
5) a song where the lyrics are a mnemonic for the first 101 digits of pi
6) pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows
7) watch the ellen degeneres show and use every fifth word she says as lyrics
8) make a song that will motivate me to exercise more
9) a song about disco vampires with a kickass tuba solo
10) a fast rap song that explains the higgs boson
11) combine bebop with new wave and sing about your last meal
12) make a folk song that modulates up a semitone every thirteen beats
13) dubstep hamburgers would be the best thing ever
14) record a ukulele duet with bobby mcferrin
15) sing about your destiny while riding a saber tooth tiger
16) make a trap beat exclusively using samples of boats exploding
17) these ideas are really silly good thing it's just for this intro
18) a song that tells me how to defend against zombies
19) perform a choral rendition of a heavy metal song
20) make a song that samples every alcohol reference in a billboard top 10 hit from 2010
21) cover a classic 80's band in a dubstep/electro style
How many of these has he done???

this is officially my favorite video of someone making a sandwich.
Everbody replying is stupid, ITS A BAGEL
Nicolas Rivera
you can make a sandwich on a bagel. a sandwich is just something sandwiched between two of a different thing.
Kataclysm113 sandwich is normal bread, i think Victor means a BAGWICH
Omg, a really good voice, cannot say more than this...
Hey! You're a phony! You're a big fat phony! Hey everyone, this guys a phony!
Richard dillen we still love him tho.
Please pass the Grey Poupon...
This song is a valuable addition to the land of dubstep covers

This is electro. A lot different. Look up that instead? Unlike dubstep it has a lot more melodies.

I'd like to hear you do something in the Swing-metal style of the Diablo Swing Orchestra.
I thought we were never, ever, ever doing this much editing again.
