    Today is 2/21/2020. It's been almost 4 years & I was wondering if you have any updates on this installation. I'd love to see how the small drop-ins progressed (or didn't)! Can you give a link or a title? Thanks.

    Hi Laura. Love what you did with succulents in your space - very inspiring, and a simple, straight-forward planting technique.
    We just planted some bare rooted Improved Dragon's Blood Sedum, hydrated it first about 30 - 45 minutes as suggested, and then buried the cuttings
    with some of the florets exposed. We're expecting that they will take well and spread.

    OMG!!! I dang near binged watched your videos last night LOL!! Your videos are the best succulent videos for designing your yard and how to go about refreshing the look. I have to admit that when I see you cut the succulents... I do cringe a little bit lol... but when I see your end results I totally get it. If I lived in CA I would ask to pick up those cuttings (no stalker in me just enjoy getting free plants lol). Anywho please keep the videos coming. I wish I knew about your videos some time ago... but I'm glad I know now. YAY!!!

    I just bought a flat of Dwarf Carpet of Stars. The salesman said to plant pieces 6" - 12" apart. I don't have a hoe...was confused as to how to do it. I am new to gardening & I have a big yard. You made it look so easy. Thank you! Liked/ subscribed ☺️

    I also have been binge watching your videos 👍🏼 learning something new each and every time. Thank you for making these for us. I am currently designing a large rectangular planter in my yard and I have so much space to fill I'd like to incorporate this sedum in it. Can I ask, what 3 sedums are these? Thanks much!!

    Can I trim my Tokyo sun? It's getting tall, or is it stretching and need more sun? I don't think I can share a pic but just curious

    Beautiful, and all well and good, but, just how long will it/they stay so well defined?
    I've tried this approach, and it looks good until next year.
    When I am finally able to get out after the winter here all I find is a total intermingling among the different plants, overgrown and I mean fast.
    I am in the SW suburbs of Chicago. Where can I get information on hardiness around here?

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  7 лет назад

      246spyder I maintain all of my professional installations quarterly. Here in Southern California, this is a good schedule.
      Check out your local plant societies or cooperative extension for hardiness advice.
      When I do installs in more challenging climates, rocks are the stars and plants are used as accents.
      Best of luck to you!

    do you have a drip irritation system or do you hand or hose water? How often? Thanks.

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  7 лет назад

      Linda Curry this installation is on subterranean drip. Watering schedule varies by season. A good rule of thumb is to allow the ground to dry out between waterings.

    I am curious, if anyone knows, why does she in all cases just TUCKS cuttings or rosettes etc into the gaps..... im just thinking tucking them in doesnt mean she has placed the roots into the soil....will those cuttings survive? I have realised she has done these in many of her videos, taking a cutting and sometimes just placing it on top.......???

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  6 лет назад

      I have a saying. “If your succulent stands up, you’ve done your job.”
      Cuttings work great in the landscape! Especially in coastal climates or in a morning sun/afternoon shade exposure.

    • @andreamurphy1126
      @andreamurphy1126 5 лет назад +2

      rayzorhead .....She Said that she just puts the cuttings on top or just fills in the bars spot because the cuttings will eventually grow roots, find the soil on their own. I was always taught let a cutting dry out in the part where the were cut before planting. Maybe this is why she does it too. Not sure. Her answer didn't answer the question to me tho.

    • @chrisjaytabarejo1180
      @chrisjaytabarejo1180 7 лет назад +2

      I believe that would be Sedum japonicum "Tokyo Sun" they will be yellow/gold under full sun and would become more green in shade.
