great video - very informative and so surprised by the numbers. Any way to know what the arm speed is?

The better player is swinging the shaft the other is attempting to move the clubhead.

The difference in the max hand speed position happens because the pro posts up early on the lead leg where as the amateur is still posting up even through impact. Simple explanation. The amateur would see the correct hand speed position if he had the proper sequence in his swing.

YesI the swinger has the most leverage to get the hands moving from the top to “shaft point to the ball” position. But this
Is works out. Think of a lead fishing weight on the end of a string. To twirl that weight you need to move your twirling hand a lot, but once the weight is started moving in an orbit around the twirling hand you can keep twirling and even continue to accelerate with less movement of the twirling hand. The hands (arms involved too) are “twirling the clubhead” like it is a lead fishing weight on a string.

That’s amazing. I knew where maximum hand speed was in the swing; just didn’t realize that 40% is lost by impact.

Yet when watching pros swinging, they all seem like they are swinging out of their shoes! Ive yet to see any gradually swinging the driver.

I would like to see these numbers on a world class tour player. I don’t need to see it from someone that might not even be able to beat me.
