I really dislike these type of videos being a Memphis native. I personally think that all of Memphis is beautiful and that all of our neighborhoods have some great people living in them. The main issue for the city of Memphis is our politics and the officials that are in charge. A lot of neighborhoods in Memphis need help from our cities politicians but they choose to not help the areas that need it most. So whoever made this video I thank you for showing off my beautiful city.
you not the only state they show. I think they mainly show abandoned homes and apartment building.ruff streets. where is your grocery stores and malls. write to politicians and tell them what you need.
Born and raised in Memphis. Moved away 13 years ago. We lived 4 streets away from cane creek apartments if you know where that’s at. The people can only blame themselves. They keep voting for those politicians. I was the only white kid in the neighborhood and we played outside everyday and never knew the difference. Then when I was about 10-11 we moved to a nice neighborhood in desoto county, ms. It was then that I started to realize the difference in how people live. The older people always kept their lawns nice and clean, the younger generations started the real decline you’ve seen in the last 20 years. Now it’s all gang gang shit, and shooting up the place. It’s a really dangerous city.
@@southerntrendkiller2632 you’re very misinformed if you think crime is a NEW thing. crime in memphis was actually at its peak in the nineties. stop trying to dunk on this generation when every generation has evil. hell you couldn’t walk three feet in the seventies without coming face to face with a damn serial killer

I left there to raise a family, in a different environment. Not hitting the floor every time shots ring out. I think you should read into what people are actually saying instead of making ignorant ass comments telling someone they don’t know what they’re talking about. I swear I could hear air brakes, I think Charlie is driving a school bus! When you slow it down to 0.25 speed you can hear the otherwise inaudible high-frequency noises of the engine falling apart and it sounds like music LOL
I am currently living very close to the hoods (between North Memphis and North of Midtown). It is indeed very sketchy. But its alright to drive around. Also, there are few safe streets to walk around. Gotta be careful though. Tbh, the whole Memphis is a rundown city. Hopefully, it picks up because its got its history and beautiful old buildings. Good Luck Memphis.
Charlie brother congratulations you're near to 100,000 & youtube play button. I'm from india and I like your video. Specially when you do interview of that hoods.
The abandoned places are a little creepy, but the occupied homes for the most part have neat yards. To me it doesn't look too bad. It just looks like a lower income area. Most everyone I have ever met from Memphis has been laid back and friendly. I honestly wouldn't mind living there.
Born and raised in Memphis (not in the ghetto) and thank you for this content! When I first saw your channel I knew you’d had to of been to Memphis before.
BORN AND RAISED IN MEMPHIS TN I LOVE MY CITY AND THERE IS TROUBLE EVERYWHERE!!!!! AND BESIDES YOU WENT TO ALL THE RUNDOWN PARTS MY CITY IS BEAUTIFUL AND WE HAVE NICE PLACES HERE ALSO!!!!!!
I grew up in the M, Mclemore, and Orleans is just one of the spots. I tell you the fucking truth this shit takes me back further than I wanna go. I had some good fucking times and a lot of bad fucking times, left when I was 20 in 85. I made it out, but I have siblings that still live there and I visit and every hood that I can recall look the same. This shit got me hungry for some rib-tips slightly spicy. Do they still sell Chappelle? I can't find that shit out here, that was my mom's shit...homesick like a muthafucka.
Something a majority of ghettos share throughout America... When there are owned houses that cost less than the vehicles parked at that house. If only more people knew how to educate themselves and spend their money. No problem though, make poor decisions so that someone else can profit from you.
I swear those apartments at the end of the video are the ones I lived in back when I was a kid. Of course that was back around 75 and they were a bit nicer.
The People living there make The Hood. All hoods are the same. It's the MENTALLITY of the people that may be the problem. Keep your City clean folks: - "Why me? -What can you do FOR ME? Me. Me. Me. Me."
Memphis reminds me of Macon Georgia a very African American dominated city very very soulful but I’m sure it’s way bigger, to live is more of a struggle, the crime is deeper and the people probably aren’t as friendly
You were on Dison St. Home of the biggest drug kingpins in the southern part of the U.S. (if you would have passed through here in the early 2000's you would have seen the biggest block party ever... (It went down daily.)
I no longer live in M-Town but man do I love Memphis!!! I don't care what anyone says about it. From the Mall of Memphis to Adventure River. From wrestling at the Mid-Souf Coliseum to Club No Name. From Cherokee Lanes to X-Site. They still GET BUCK and _ain't even not gon stop_
The best thing that could happen to Memphis is if the New Madrid were to fault push it into the Mississippi River and it started all over. There is no "fixing" this shit hole.
I think about all the people exposed to MOLD in these homes making them sick with all sorts of mental and physical ailments. Don't let them fool ya, it's not just "toxic" mold that hurts you. ANY indoor mold will affect your health and well being.

U need to say something in video. Like wat blocks u riding around. Orange mound, evergreen, Westwood, something! I grew up on 36mafia
What If I don't know any of that ?
@@CharlieBo313 then we beat yo ass
@@earthwormjim420 How can you be so sure you would come out the winner ?
@@CharlieBo313 im pretty tuff
I doubt it. Most tuff people I know don't have to proclaim it on the internet.
This not even the worse lmao this south Memphis
Dead ass Memphis Tennessee!
Riverside orange 🍊 mound etc
Om I live n Omaha Nebraska but u might Kno my daughter brothers up there that's where her dad side of family at
If they came thru orange Mound I would know em.
I swear I could hear air brakes, I think Charlie is driving a school bus! When you slow it down to 0.25 speed you can hear the otherwise inaudible high-frequency noises of the engine falling apart and it sounds like music LOL
WiFi ghost cruiser how you gonna steal my reply and put your name on it?
I am currently living very close to the hoods (between North Memphis and North of Midtown). It is indeed very sketchy. But its alright to drive around. Also, there are few safe streets to walk around. Gotta be careful though. Tbh, the whole Memphis is a rundown city. Hopefully, it picks up because its got its history and beautiful old buildings. Good Luck Memphis.
All of Memphis ain't run down you idiot
Wow, I saw the most BEAUTIFUL Norway Maple in the front yard of a beautiful home. Memphis isn't all bad.
All of Memphis is the ghetto
@@Tj-uu1ww not every part lmao
BORN AND RAISED IN MEMPHIS TN I LOVE MY CITY AND THERE IS TROUBLE EVERYWHERE!!!!! AND BESIDES YOU WENT TO ALL THE RUNDOWN PARTS MY CITY IS BEAUTIFUL AND WE HAVE NICE PLACES HERE ALSO!!!!!!
I remember back in the 70s early 80s south memphis was crunk and alive but now😨😨😨
It was early in the morning no one was out.
If you keep the grass cut and the trash off the streets. Paint the houses that are not made with bricks then it will look much better.
It Is What It Is. At Least They're Not Homeless.
"Born in the Mound down deep in the South, with the brothers with the curls and gold teeth in they mouth."
Don’t come for my hood. 901 for life tf
my city mane 💯 it helps you humble yourself
95% are rented. Most of them lean. Many fires each year due to poor insulation and massive space heaters and faulty wiring.

Born in the m-town..1305 railton..left in 2002...St Thomas v.i. now best move I ever made
Wow, I stayed on Railton too. My dad used to call it "Hellton" lol.
There is no jobs or shops around or playgrounds for kids the government should not forget about this place.
I swear those apartments at the end of the video are the ones I lived in back when I was a kid. Of course that was back around 75 and they were a bit nicer.
The People living there make The Hood.
All hoods are the same. It's the MENTALLITY of the people that may be the problem.
Keep your City clean folks:
- "Why me? -What can you do FOR ME? Me. Me. Me. Me."
Memphis has some good COGIC churches I know that much.
Kimball Cabana was like the Carter KCP/OVG
Ought to label or narrate so we know where we are in the city.
I hear a rattle trap car and no narration or explanation.
When u stay in memphis it don't seem bad as it is to visitors
Homey riding in a hoopty so he don't stand out.
The best thing that could happen to Memphis is if the New Madrid were to fault push it into the Mississippi River and it started all over. There is no "fixing" this shit hole.
NORF MEMPHIS SOUF MEMPHIS WESWOOD ORANGE MOUND
South Memphis here🖐🏾
10:12 Kimball Cabana...that area scares the shit out of me. it got 10x worse in the years after this video
Memphis born & raised!!! ❤️
I think about all the people exposed to MOLD in these homes making them sick with all sorts of mental and physical ailments. Don't let them fool ya, it's not just "toxic" mold that hurts you. ANY indoor mold will affect your health and well being.
Bro I'm trying to get rt...go down 2 blocks then make a left.then u will see a Lakers colored trap house!!
I'm pretty sure I saw elvis drive by in that car!
LOL😂😂
Looks like everywhere else I'm in Pittsburgh pa same shit.
Chattanooga has some nice places but some areas (rossville, southside) can be pretty rough
Needs narration for those of us who don't know where you are heck I'm local and I have no idea where a good part of this video is been shot at but hey thanks for posting it it was entertaining me personally I would have done the video like a tour guide frayser frayser people welcome to frayser
Streets seem empty nobody goes out! Seems depressing no life in that area!
When you gone do one on minneapolis let me know
Lmao Charlie said, "don't play in traffic". True but the little boy laughing.
Charlie you wanted to say bad@!:#, but caught yourself😁😁😁😁
Rivacide my hood it was beautiful years ago
