I lived in MEMPHIS , TN for seventeen years . I love the people and spirit of the LORD is there. Problem is the city and state government see these areas going down, but the Where are they? No jobs, no money equal poverty. So in a few more years when property values are so low the people in Collierville and other prominent areas will come back buy it up, fix it up and the elders who hung on all these years will not be about to afford their own neighborhoods. Wake up Memphis... you have the power to control your own destiny. Demand what is yours the 400 years ends this year. I love you Memphis!!!!!!!

Just the same manner as when he is driving slowly through the hoods. The only problem I think Charlie would encounter is alot of wealthy neighborhoods are gated, so he would need a code to get through. Also some of the most exclusive wealthy neighborhoods are private altogether. But he shouldn't let that deter him because as I always say, where there is a will there is a way. I hope he makes it happen....for the views of course lol.

I really dislike these type of videos being a Memphis native. I personally think that all of Memphis is beautiful and that all of our neighborhoods have some great people living in them. The main issue for the city of Memphis is our politics and the officials that are in charge. A lot of neighborhoods in Memphis need help from our cities politicians but they choose to not help the areas that need it most. So whoever made this video I thank you for showing off my beautiful city.

Born and raised in Memphis. Moved away 13 years ago. We lived 4 streets away from cane creek apartments if you know where that’s at. The people can only blame themselves. They keep voting for those politicians. I was the only white kid in the neighborhood and we played outside everyday and never knew the difference. Then when I was about 10-11 we moved to a nice neighborhood in desoto county, ms. It was then that I started to realize the difference in how people live. The older people always kept their lawns nice and clean, the younger generations started the real decline you’ve seen in the last 20 years. Now it’s all gang gang shit, and shooting up the place. It’s a really dangerous city.

It was a violent place then just like it is now, but we didn’t have 8th graders roaming the streets with switches on glocks, talkin bout gang shit. Wasn’t nobody affiliated. I left there to raise a family, in a different environment. Not hitting the floor every time shots ring out. I think you should read into what people are actually saying instead of making ignorant ass comments telling someone they don’t know what they’re talking about. I experienced the change in that neighborhood and several others before I decided to move away. I’m not misinformed, you just misunderstood.

Also, there are few safe streets to walk around. Gotta be careful though. Tbh, the whole Memphis is a rundown city. Hopefully, it picks up because its got its history and beautiful old buildings. Good Luck Memphis.

Something a majority of ghettos share throughout America...
When there are owned houses that cost less than the vehicles parked at that house. If only more people knew how to educate themselves and spend their money.
No problem though, make poor decisions so that someone else can profit from you.
