Nordic Ashes is a challenging Norse inspired action-roguelite enemy hell, where you’ll have to survive hordes of creatures. Unlock new weapons and abilities as you battle through different realms. Design the most broken build and slay your enemies before they surround you!

You unlocked dragon shrine (dragon egg with timer thingy) by beating muspelheim on expert and above after which it will be unlocked for all maps/modes going forward. I believe the unlock timer is 15 minutes and nothing will change it. The best speedrun (which has leaderboards) are all 18++ minutes. Dragon egg will give you a legendary that you have unlocked but not currently owned in the current game.
A few tips/tricks:-
-Boxes in gnoki's realm are more likely to drop coins/items/potions. If you dont have a skill/abiliities that can destroy boxes (alruna ult golem, G.L.T.C.H.), you can buy the fireball pot for 4 coins and recoup the money spent and then some that way.
-You gain some of the exp left on the ground at the end of each wave boss fights but only a small percentage of it. It can be increased with the meta progression but its best to look for exp suck ring and use it just before you kill the wave boss, Do not wait until after you've killed the boss to use the ring. Or you can buy one from the shop but careful not to use or swap it out for something else
-Some relics can overwrite the cap/limit on hearts/coins. Mirror mirror can double the coins so its best when you're at your max/cap before getting it. Getting a coin bag/sack relic after reaching the limit (and beyond with mirror mirror) will NOT add more coins, unfortunately.
-'Special' hearts (ice/fire/green) will replace blue hearts, but not red hearts. If you have all 14 slots filled with red hearts (empty or full doesnt matter), nothing will change.

Ohh, the dragon thing is cool then, thanks for the explanation. Also good to know about Gnoki's boxes.
Some of the heart stuff is certainly odd. Do artifacts that scale off of having a blue heart/s count all the upgraded ones or is that just a downside?

When Helga starts her Vegas blackjack dealer arc, young or old it's time to watch out! I am not sure this lady is balanced. Those cards seem like a much better place to start from in all circumstances. That run-end boss rush is something else.

Yeah, the cards are where it's at. Helga is like Mrs. Doubtfire, but instead of Robin Williams, it's Gambit from X-Men.

Looks like picking up the egg gave you a Legendary Ascension Crystal Enhancer along with 1 crystal. Why you suddenly had one right at the end of that wave.

Yeah, you're right. That item gives a crystal. In the couple runs I've done after the egg seems to be on every map now and just spawns a random item when the timer is up
