I thought Jessi was going to say it felt very cathartic, because that is how I felt! I'm excited to see Jessi moving forward and moving mountains! You've got this!!!
Her feelings resonate so much. I love that she speaks openly about her feelings and that she is surrounded by family and people who honestly support her. With so many other Kpop artists keeping things in, I hope they see this and find the strength to find the support and help they need. Many people need to step back and see that they are artists, yes, but they are ultimately humans with hearts and souls. Stay strong Jessi!💜🎶💜🎶
I just finished watching Inside Out movie, I really feel all the emotions in this episode. Thank you for sharing your unspoken story. We support you in your next chapter of life. Love you lots.
Even all of her friends are gone and left her alone, Jessi Please don’t forget all of your fans include those international fans who are always by your side and never left you! 😭💕😘👍
This is giving the same vibes as when Jackson was on the show. They both are very good at articulating the feeling of everyone praising you for your achievements, but at the end of the day still feeling alone and not living up to their real potential. Hope you both find your inner piece through your art!
I was about to say the same thing. Its like the Jackson interview all over again. Eric just has a way of people feeling comfortable around him and they just spill it out.
I thought of Jackson too while watching this. However during his episode, I kept thinking he shares alot of the same issues that RM has. I would love it if Eric hosted a podcast series and had Jackson and RM on together discussing mental health. It seems like it's a taboo topic in Korea. I really felt like Eric was Jackson's therapist. This episode with Jessi seems like she needs a break from music. Take a long vacation to find herself. She wants to do everything but no idea where to start. She needs time to self reflect away from her career and focus on what makes her happy. Then reevaluate what direction she wants to go in.
@@elizabethd5264 I used to love Jessi and what you say is true. Every interview with her is either weird and awkward or its her just defending herself and trying to convince us and herself that she is a good person etc. I dunno ... she's just really not someone I am interested in as much. I miss her early music a lot.
I get the impression Jessi is crying for help. Her tough exterior is something she hides behind to survive in an industry filled with shady people that are only there to take advantage of her success.I hope she manages to navigate through this stage in her life and find her ultimate goal in life whether that be finding her soulmate, having a child or releasing an album based on music that exemplifies who she truly is
omg this! she has been expressing her unhappiness over and over again for a while now but moves right along to change topics quickly. Even at her age, she still seems lost. Its so sad.
As a single doctor in her mid 30s, I am LOVING this discussion!!! I feel like I’m listening to my 2 friends rant and bicker whilst I listen in the side and nod at all your opinions. 😂

We need a full ballad album Jessi! You would kill it and it would be something different. You’d have a chance to be more vulnerable and showcase your amazing vocals. However, regardless, Jebbies will love and support you 😍😍😍😍
I have not cried in a while. This podcast touched a part of me I did not think it would. Her talking about feeling empty, wanting to find her craft, and wanting to show the vulnerable side to parents. Also, this is not the first person I have seen talk about their toughest time was during the peak of their career (for different and similar reasons) As Jessi said, "The sun will come out eventually"
I love that Eric, Daebak show, and Dive studios is a safe space for Jessi because she needs it. Absolutely love her, and excited for any and everything she’s working towards.
I feel like Jessi went trough some trauma recently and she is picking herself up, thus looking around for what would make her happy after that hurt... and she is so effing strong for articulating it this way.. i did the same thing after 3 family members died within short period of time, I know that speaking about it helped so immensely. all luck, love and peace to you and your soul seraching, jessi.. you can do it, otherwise you would not have been put through this. just know that.

I’ve been watching Jessi content and Eric Nam content religiously for the past couple of weeks. I’m SO happy the algorithm brought me here. So excited for this!!! 😍😍😍
And this is why I love Jessi. Raw, HONEST and vulnerable as I've ever seen her. So proud of her. Also, Eric did amazing by creating a safe space for her to be so open. What a beautiful interview
I can relate to Jessi because I went through something similar recently I'm 37 now but when I turned 34 I was depressed, had to cut off toxic people and family members and finally put myself first started taking care of my mental health and physical health, upped the vitamin D, changed jobs. Its tough but I finally feel free, do anything you want jess! 🙌🏽
I don't even listen to Jessi's music cause it's not really my style but I make sure to see everything she's on cause I like her so much!! She is precious ❤
Great interview. What I love about Eric's interview style is that he allows the guest to talk and he is so genuinely supportive of them. He is a great listener too. Thought it was cute when he skipped over Jessi's comment, "I want to have a baby."😄
As a hardcore Jessi fan, this interview made me feel her journey so much more. Always loving and supporting you Jessi! But also you can tell Eric is a good friend and host when Jessi lost track of what she was talking about, and he responded right away because he was actually listening. Not just showing face and looking the part, but being actually engaged and invested in the conversation.
Jessi thank you for saying "even if I fail at something at least I tried", I really need to hear this. You're such an inspiration, Thank you for showing us YOU and not just the performer, tough lady Jessi. You resonate to us, your fans. I wish you well in all your aspiration. (Very nice interview)
I’m glad she was able to speak about how she’s feeling mentally. You can tell she’s going through some hard things right now with the things she said. I seriously hope she’s going to therapy or thinking about going to therapy. Also, there were some parts where you could tell she just wanted to break down and cry but she doesn’t want to seem weak. I’m hoping she has a friend who can take care of her or at least just listen to her. ❤️
I feel her story so much ❤ it’s so hard to be more vulnerable, especially with your family as an adult. It’s so scary to be trying to build the life you want to live, but also have the space to let people help you and take care of you. I wish Jessi all the best. She truly deserves the world ❤
I love jessi and I honestly don’t care about all the haters and the people saying “but she said this and she did that” Jessi is a really open person which is rare in the kpop industry. I admire the way she doesn’t cry over stupid comments and always stands tall. We love you jessi!!
Jessi is such a reletable person and she is such a comforting person. I really am amazed how she can talk about these things and she talks soo good. I really look up to her and this video really comforted me. I LOVE JESSI❤❤
I just love the Daebak Show, I don't care who the guest is, I always enjoy watching Thank you Jessi for being open with us, I don't listen to what other people say about anyone, I judge for myself and even though I never worked with you nor will I since well I don't have talent😂😂 but I can't imagine you would be hard to work with, being in the kpop, idol or Korean entertainment seems like it's very judgmental when it comes to fans, it's like you are not allowed to be human, especially being an idol. Keep being you Jessi💜
The first time I saw Jessi years ago was in some variety show, and I immediately knew she was a not a natural loud and outgoing person, I saw so much from me in her trying to stand strong by herself even if we are way chiller and weaker on the inside, it shows throught little gestures. And that moment I started following her, I related to her then and even more rn
Thank you Eric for just listening. You could really tell that Jessi needed a therapy session where she poured her thoughts out and needed to talk a lot.
the scramble was hilarious and freat way to switch the mood. Glad Jessi opened up a bit, I hope people understand her better and stop talking shit. I hope she finds happiness, she deserves a loving family (husband and a kid as she wished for so long) and I hope she achieves new heights in her career but I am very optimistic after this interview.
We are here for you Jessi. If you want to do an experimental album or come up with amazing businesses, your fans are ride or die. We will always support you no matter what. Take care of you first.
"I want all of us to win" Jessi, you´re amazing!! I would love to work with someone like you, I´m feeling great leadership vibes! Unfortunately I can´t speak Korean 🥲😂 much love to you. Go find what fulfills you ❤
The fact that Jessi talk honest about herself, share the things that she goes through are just respectable. Thanks to Eric who is the best MC that I've ever seen I really respect both of you❤
So happy to see Eric and Jessi content again! I hope everything works out for Jessi and she’s able to find her passion and drive again to do what she wants! Wishing her all the best and happiness. Jessi Hwaiting! ❤
I really hope she finds what she needs to feel fulfilled and happy. It's hard to not fit the standard and be outside the norm but it's so freeing when you find peace with it. You'll find the way, just keep being honest and vulnerable with yourself.
I am not gonna lie, there are things Jessi has done and said in the past that have left a bad taste in my mouth but i appreciate her vulnerability and transparency in this interview. It sounds like she's going through a transformative period, which is NOT easy but necessary for growth and development. I wish the utmost best for you Jess cause you have worked hella hard to get to where you are now. You've not only climbed mountains but it sounds like you have weathered storms that many cannot, would not and unfortunately have not survived. Take your time sis and never lose that authenticity that draws many towards you. As a fellow "unconventional" woman (per societal standards), we unfortunately have to weather many storms to get to where we need and want to be. You've got this sis.
I'll be honest with you. While Jessi may not be formally well educated, she speaks her mind without filtering her thoughts, which can come across as unpolished. I understand that this may be normal in the US, but it can be confusing for some Koreans. However, I believe she has a good heart and good intentions. I genuinely hope for the best for her in all her future endeavors.
It's really refreshing to see Jessi so comfortable and expressing herself freely because in many ways Korea has limited that because of how they expect and want her to appear on TV. I wish there were more platforms for her and other Korean artists to share their thoughts and experiences. Thank you Dive and Eric for this.
Awwwe. I just had a realization after listening to Jessi's vulnerability: I've been bombarded with messages like to dream big, pursue things that give value to other people, but I'm coming from an empty self. It's like I'm hurrying myself too much to be out there since I once experienced the positive outcome of showing up but if I keep showing up but at my empty state, I'm not making any good for me and for others. Thank you, Jessi for helping me realize this! I love youuuu more and I'll keep rooting for youuu 🥺
Jessi is the most real fucking person ever, and I appreciate the hell out of that, you can feel the empathy.🙏 You’re killing it Eric! This interview was a vibe.
This was the episode I needed because seeing Jessi open up and being vulnerable. She is truly amazing and speaking nothing but facts. Thank you for being you, Jessi! ❤
yes Jessi, God put you on this earth for a reason. that emptiness we fell in our heart.. can only be filled by God and His love for us. doesn’t matter how much money, fame, dream house we have… i pray Jessi will come to find what she’s seeking for, and i know God is seeking her heart 🧡🙏🏻
7:11 Just starting this interview, but YES to a new sound from Jessi. I've quietly wished for Jessi's "Lemonade"/Beyonce album -- in the sense that it's singing, based on real pain, struggle, and ultimately success even if it's not 100% autobiographical. Her vulnerability is powerful when she allows herself to show it. Also glad she's on Daebak. Eric has created such a safe space for these artists/friends.Thanks to you both!
Wouldn't klick faster for anyone but her. Love that she's tryin to heal and is tryin to Show her vulerable side. Would watch anything if she's acting in it, must be top notch. She's entertaining and Inspiron in any mood ❤ thx girl for sharing your thoughts und stories
Next Jessi album: bad bches cry too. Being human is embracing all the range of feelings, emotions and experiences that we can have. Is hard because we constantly fight with the sad, emptiness, loneliness, bad feelings while looking to be happy and in a good place.
This is literally the unknown side of Jessie...I am proud of u and ur work unnie...I can relate and I learn a lott from u unnie...Keep going ! Fighting !!!
Jessi always incredible to me but idk this time.... She's alot more peaceful, I think? There's this inner beauty that radiate from her, it is so bright that makes my jaw dropped and kept saying "wow.... She's beautiful". Anyway, happy to see her back here❤
This episode was so REAL, RAW, and felt so relatable. Jessi was given the space to express herself and Eric + staff made it comfortable for her to be able to. Loved this!
Jessi, I use to be like you when it came to friends. I put my heart into it bc I truly believed in everlasting friendships but never received what I put out. As I got older and becoming a mom, I realized some friends are "Ask-holes" and only need you for things or waste your time by asking endless things and doing anything about it.. So, I cut it down to just 1 friend bc I saw how she put in effort and gave back what I put out. To this day, she and I are the best of friends. We give each other space, check in and we both respect each others differences bc we understand that friendship too is a relationship. So one day, you will find the one or two gal pals that you need in your life and that's more than a handful of acquaintances that serve no purpose. Overall, take this time to love yourself and those who want to love you take care and love on you.
Happy to see Jessi again especially in Daebak perfect guest for Eric show. Love listening to both of them speaking in English both talented, smart & goal achievers Love you both 👏👏👏
this is the REAL Jessi we need to see. i mean she's awesome in all aspects making her one of a kind :) but this, we see her real side. by just seeing her open her vulnerability. and also what she wants in the future. we love u jessi as always ... hoping a new song with jessi and eric.
Jessi, thank you. You honesty has captured people. Respect for what you have been going through. And your constant growth in life. I wish you nothing but the best. Please know you have fans, true supporters that believe in your authentic you. We have always trusted you to be honest. Again. Thank you
I love Jessi. I am here in the United States. I really hope she comes here soon, and she is received well. I love her soulful voice. I think she is more K-soul. I hope that the world will embrace this sector of music.
Jessie has an inate honesty and also imo a vulnerability but she is a strong and powerful woman. I love her truthfulness, can't wait to see her cameo appearance😊🙏💚
I absolutely adore this woman. She is such a strong person, with an amazing personality. I love that she can be vulnerable and open about life. Its such a breath of fresh air. Forever a Jessi fan.
I really wish Jessi the best on whatever she decides to do next. Hopefully she'll find the right people to work and be surrounded with. We definitely don't know the bottom of anything but her. Thank you, Eric for having Jessi this time. I really missed her
I love this interview so much because I hear how jessi has her own personal struggles like everyone else in the world and she is taking it one day at a time. She is doing everything on her own time that can make happy and successful for the rest of her life. Love you jessi ❤
14:26 Girllll I'm in tears 🤧 I love Jessi so much 😭 I had a medical illness that made me unable to move by myself (even eating or swallowing was a hard thing to do back then) for an entire year. I had like a kind of fear/phobia of being in hospitals and that stuff (including the blood check thing 💉 😭) and back then I was visiting the hospital EVERY single day, I was horrified of hospitals, crying 24/7. I remember I was so upset with myself back then, I felt so ugly and useless, I remember I even blamed myself for being sick 💀. I remember my mom used to step into my room and leave steaky notes in my mirror, one of those said "I love myself, I am strong, I am smart, I am great". Till today (almost 3 years later) my routine is to stand in the mirror and repeat those words, and I also added some that say "I'm doing great" and "You're so awesome" lol. Today I can tell I'm the most confident person on earth lol. Jessi inspires me so much, I deeply love and admire her 😭💗💗💗
jessi is one of the realest and baddest bitches in the industry and i freakin love her! Cool that you guys had her back on :) always enjoy these with her
Jessi talks about her hits soooo much and about how she sings about being a badass but, pleaaaase, woman, remember Numb and 울리지마 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I've been livinf for more songs like those ❤❤❤❤❤

Her feelings resonate so much. I love that she speaks openly about her feelings and that she is surrounded by family and people who honestly support her. With so many other Kpop artists keeping things in, I hope they see this and find the strength to find the support and help they need. I just love the Daebak Show, I don't care who the guest is, I always enjoy watching
Thank you Jessi for being open with us, I don't listen to what other people say about anyone, I judge for myself and even though I never worked with you nor will I since well I don't have talent😂😂 but I can't imagine you would be hard to work with, being in the kpop, idol or Korean entertainment seems like it's very judgmental when it comes to fans, it's like you are not allowed to be human, especially being an idol.
Thank you Eric for inviting Jessi to confide in her vulnerability, Jessi is a good person🥰❣️
the scramble was hilarious and freat way to switch the mood. Glad Jessi opened up a bit, I hope people understand her better and stop talking shit. I hope she finds happiness, she deserves a loving family (husband and a kid as she wished for so long) and I hope she achieves new heights in her career but I am very optimistic after this interview.
Why do I have this feeling they actually have chemistry😊
Wish they will have collaboration song since they are close friends!
I thought I was the only one that lowkey shipped them 😭 I think he could balance her out tbh
Because they’re actual friends in real life.
Considering they have matching outfits (intentional or not lol), I think their chemistry is top notch 🥳💗
I mean, if she wants a baby, and doesn’t find the man she lookin for, he could be the sperm donor 😬 just playin
No way you know Jess well if you're shipping. Eric is so soft and gentle, Jessi likes more manly type guys. @@ambrosiaz4299
Thanks to Eric who is the best MC that I've ever seen
I really respect both of you❤
So happy to see Eric and Jessi content again!
I genuinely hope for the best for her in all her future endeavors.
jessi is such an amazing person she stays true to herselfs and she knows what she wants and she dont take shit for no one she is an ICON I REPATE ICON
what we have always loved about this woman, her real.ness.
also, as someone in my mid/early 30’s, her feelings and thoughts were so relatable.
It's really refreshing to see Jessi so comfortable and expressing herself freely because in many ways Korea has limited that because of how they expect and want her to appear on TV. I wish there were more platforms for her and other Korean artists to share their thoughts and experiences. Thank you Dive and Eric for this.
Awwwe. I just had a realization after listening to Jessi's vulnerability:
I've been bombarded with messages like to dream big, pursue things that give value to other people, but I'm coming from an empty self.
Jessi is the most real fucking person ever, and I appreciate the hell out of that, you can feel the empathy.🙏
You’re killing it Eric!
This interview was a vibe.
This was the episode I needed because seeing Jessi open up and being vulnerable. She is truly amazing and speaking nothing but facts. Thank you for being you, Jessi! ❤
Everyone needs a friend like eric you can open up and talk about your worries even the smallest things without fear of being judged
I want jessi to start her own podcast.. I really enjoyed listening to her..she is so real .❤❤❤
yes Jessi, God put you on this earth for a reason. that emptiness we fell in our heart.. can only be filled by God and His love for us. doesn’t matter how much money, fame, dream house we have… i pray Jessi will come to find what she’s seeking for, and i know God is seeking her heart 🧡🙏🏻
I love Jessi's honesty. Thank you for showing us your vulnerable side, queen.
I can't believe how much I relate, Jessi is such a beautiful and strong soul. Thank you for making me feel I am not alone with these feelings.
I have always loved these two together over the years. Makes me feel like I'm watching my imaginary older sister and brother ❤😂
Love you Jessi! Wishing you only good things. Thank you Eric for allowing her to be herself.
I love her truthfulness, can't wait to see her cameo appearance😊🙏💚
okay we definitely need a Jessie podcast like for real! I’m so glad to see her vulnerable and being open about her choices and her feelings
Lately, I’ve been watching jessi’s old clips of running man
And this interview pops up… I am so happy to watch this….this is happiness 🤗🤗🤗
She looks so strong and happy but deep inside she's so vulnerable
She's such a pure and graceful soul. A rare gem to this world I hope she knows that about herself.
I really missed her
Bless You Jessi with "The NEW Myself " attitude, You’re an encouragement Thank you
I love this interview so much because I hear how jessi has her own personal struggles like everyone else in the world and she is taking it one day at a time. She is doing everything on her own time that can make happy and successful for the rest of her life. Love you jessi ❤
Eric and Jessi are always a great combination! Lots of love and appreciation to both of them and the team who made this happen 🎉
The part where jessi said “i want all of us to win” made me teary. Hey! I want that kind of friend/company.
Shes the realest kpop idol ever. Shes an artist! I just love her so much!
14:26 Girllll I'm in tears 🤧 I love Jessi so much 😭
I had a medical illness that made me unable to move by myself (even eating or swallowing was a hard thing to do back then) for an entire year.
Cool that you guys had her back on :) always enjoy these with her
Jessi talks about her hits soooo much and about how she sings about being a badass but, pleaaaase, woman, remember Numb and 울리지마 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I've been livinf for more songs like those ❤❤❤❤❤
She made me cry.
We love you Jessi.
Love to see this side of Jessi. Love her on K-Variety shows, but love to see her feel so comfortable with Eric. Can’t wait to see more of her!
