    Most CRF300L reviews are about going offroad, jumping or even hill climbing. Glad to have found this video!
    After a dozen or so street bikes I came across my first enduro, a XR650L, just because the price was right. I didn't ride any of my other bikes for a week! Instantly loved the seating position, the high seat, the wide handle bars, the slim body, the light weight and of course the big single. First bike which made me grin in my helmet from ear to ear!
    The suspension ironed out all bumps, no more going around potholes or slowing down for speed bumps. I installed Pirelli MT60s and rode mainly a few miles to work and back, it turned me into a city hooligan! Sold one of my street bikes (K75S) and got me a DR650SE. Liked it even more, lots of torque, loved that engine.
    Moved to Thailand, you don't need a big bike over there. The CRF250L came out but I waited a year for the CRF250M supermoto. Even better for the road, slightly lower, stiffer suspension, bigger front disc, geared for a better top speed. And it was black with gold rims!
    Rode it 30.000 km in three years, it still felt like new, only the seat was worn out where I sat.
    Now I live on an island, don't need to go faster than 100 km/h, lots of curvy moutain roads, a CRF300M would be perfect.
    But since there's none, I have to go for the L version.
    Sure, the upright seating position puts you into the wind like a sail, so going distance is no fun and the fuel consumption goes up, but around town and through the countryside, going 60 to 80 km/h, the bike is a hoot.

      Lock it up because mine got stolen! I miss it, but I will not buy another. I have 3 bikes right now. All used and all need some work, but they run. I dorve that Honda CRF300L to work and back all year. I mostly took back roads, but had to get on a busy St. Louis metro highway for about 3 miles each way. Average car traffic is about 75 on that highway and a lot of traffic, but it was fine. The only time it was sketchy was when the winds were high crossing the bridge over the Missouri River. It's not very fast, but just fast enough. I would usually be pushing about 70mph on that highway, but after a few miles I had an exit so it was fine. I loved that bike and miss it, but that's life in the city and I am sure they steal them in Thailand as well. I saw the Hangover 2 🤣😂. Don't let Bangkok get you.

      Pray to God in Spirit and in truth. That said in John 4:24 .
      Pray that God keep you safe always even you forgot him in your mind when concentration in driving or doing something. And pray also does people in the road that they keep you safe in the road. And pray too that God guard your motor bike too so that any one doing wrong or stealing it , they will afraid because they see somebody beside your motor bike. Faith in God is the best of all things.

      That was a year ago. Unfortunately that bike got ripped off. Thinking about getting the 2024. I hear it's supposed to have doubled the HP. Mine was a 2021. I think it was something like 15 or 17 hp. Pretty low power machine. Kind of fun, but I don't recommend it. I mean it's probably a good trail bike, but not great on the road or anything like a single track. The power is just not there.

    My commute is about 21 miles. I go from north of I-10 to the Gulf Coast to NAS Pensacola, FL. My truck route is different from the CRF route! No interstates for either route, just surface streets but up to 55 or so.

    • @Nine_883
      @Nine_883  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah we’ll make sure you lock it up because mine got stolen right off the parking lot and nobody saw anything. I had full coverage, but I enjoyed having that bike. I have 2 other bikes, but this one was awesome to just jump in and go. And I stayed off the Interstates as much as possible, but it would go 75 no problem. Just a little sketchy on the street with those stock dual sport tires. Unfortunately it got stolen like the day after I had switched the tires and I never really got a chance to test them out.

    • @Nine_883
      @Nine_883  Год назад +1

      If I were really wanting another dual sport ot Adventure type bike it would definitely be the Yamaha Tenere 700. Thet Honda 650 is a single thumper and even though it s a gret bike and practically bullet proof, I would save a few more months and find a good used Tenere 700 and you will be much happier.,
      It would have been fine for a 6 foot 5 guy as far as comfort. I had to saddle it like a horse and could barely touch the ground at a stop light. I weigh 205 and it got me around no problem. It's not a good interstate bike though. It lacks power, but would get to 80mph. It just took a minute to get there. It was my daily commuter although on a modified route that took only about 7 or 8 minutes later, but I didn't avoid interstates during high traffic time periods. It got stolen so I took the insurance money and bought a Grom. I have a FJ09 and an old Yamaha 1100 cruiser, but I love the little bikes for urban exploring. The CRF300 was a lot better for a commuter than a Grom though so I don't commute on the Grom at all. It's just for fun, plus a lot of old dudes like me have Groms now and go on these Mini rides and it's a freaking blast. Thanks for watching and commenting. I am not monetized, but it's still good to hear from people and share information and opinions.

      same concern for me. I'm that tall though... 6' and 200lbs. But I hear thats even pushing it for this bike. I'm looking at the drz 400 or 650 as well.. lol. Something just a little bigger. And feel safer!

Riding a motorcycle in Germany was way too expensive. Too many regulations. Motorcycles are supposed to be cheaper transportation, not more expensive and that gear you all wear......it's just weird. Just took my Honda 300L Rally on about a 70 minute ride. Although it feels comfortable for the most part, I definitely had to stand up a few times to let the 'boys' breath and when I got home my hands were buzzing for a few minutes. I do love how high it sits, especially in traffic as it seems like you are more visible to all the idiot drivers out there.

    I’ve had my CRF300L for about 3 months and have ridden it about 1000 miles on Louisville, KY city streets. Only objection is after about an hour of stop and go in traffic I am plumb worn out, with sore butt, and legs. And if I am in congested traffic my right leg will be fried. Also, the bike becomes a chore to handle above 50 mph. Seems 4th and 5 th gear support 25 to 45 mph nicely. That’s my take on it. Overall, it’s fun for maybe an hour, any longer and I cannot put it in the shed fast enough.

    • @Nine_883
      @Nine_883  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah it’s not long range bike. I never rode it more than about 40 miles from the house. I always thought the seat was fairly comfortable, but then again most of my rides were less than 20-30 miles between stops. Great commuter if you have secondary highways and live less than 20-30 miles. My work is 16 miles or so depending on my route for the day. Never more than 16 miles. I found that after 70mph it starts to get wobbly, especially on a windy day. I never really took it off road. In fact the day after I put 80% street tires on the bike it got stolen.
