Maybe when the internet didn't exist. Now they're just a giant scam whose only ploy is to convince workers they need them so the board members and lawyers they have on retainer keep getting paid. I mean, imagine thinking that you'd actually need to pay a Union to strike when you can easily create a Facebook group to discuss the EXACT same problems and collectively organize a strike for FREE.
I no longer support the Fred Meyer's employees who were on strike. As an Instacart shopper who still needed to make a living during the strike, I was repeatedly harassed by the striking employees @ the Burlingame Fred Meyer's. From having my license plate video recorder while driving into the parking lot, being told I should wait to do Instacart shopping until after the strike (no wages for a week, lol, ok?!) and stare downs from the strikers. Those A holes fighting for better pay and making me try to feel guilty for trying to make a living. A bunch of sad and misguided people.
Are you serious? They're only striking for a week. You really think that's going to bring corporate to the table? This "union" is a clown show. All they do is take union dues and then turn around and do absolutely nothing.
Fun fact, these employees collectively pay $1,800,000/year in Union fees. We live in an era of technology where we don't need Unions anymore. Facebook groups are FREE and these people could have easily organized a strike on their own for FREE. If these workers ever want to have any sort of real power, they need to ditch Unions, protest with their own power and invest their Union fees in their own advancement.
Don’t be a scab, don’t cross this line. Unions are so important.

SUPPORT FREDMEYERS WORKERS 💪💪💪💪💪
@@baileygregg6567 So never.
@Ruby95z you mean support enriching corrupt union bosses and making our grocery prices even higher than they already are? No thanks, mouth breather.
Higher wages and loss sales means higher Grocery prices ..enjoy
Cope
Unions are cheeks, I am crossing the line.
The entitlement of these clowns. I’m going to buy 3 months of stuff just to prove to the store that they can axe these employees.
For every ignorant comment there are people who understand how important unions are and have been to your working rights
Feels pretty dumb to me, they are going to strike for 7 days, and then expect to go back to work for a place they tried to prevent getting business.
Picket line in Corvallis.
I will not cross. There are plenty of other convenient choices for groceries.
Force corporate to the table.

Feeling intimidated by signs and being booed😂
They weren't saying "boo" but "Boo-urns"🤣
If you going on strike go on strike how is going for a week going to do anything. Embarrassing
This union is a joke. All they care about is the dues.
I think I will go shopping at FM.
