Thanks David, I agree I think it’s important to showcase the lower models as not all of us can afford the top trim levels. Of course it would be lovely to be able to get them. But the lower trim levels are great and you still get a lot of car for it. Appreciate the kind words and chatting to us 🤗
Got one brought a demo 1300 on the clock and I love it one of the best looking cars on the road, looks so much better than the facelift they have just brought out loads of gismos and lovely leather trim.
Thanks for sharing Vincent. We agree. Best looking car for sure. Oh so you don’t like the new facelift version and lights? Thanks for the comment and chatting 🤗
Thank you for the comment and positive vibes. There is some real value with the lower trims. I always like to figure out what I think is the best trim level in my opinion and always pass it on. Thanks for leaving us a comment and chatting to us 🤗
The v2 seems to be the right trim if only because you have to go up Brum the v1 to get a reversing camera. And given the driving position you'll need it!
I have one as a courtesy car at the moment and it's a well build, comfortable great looking vehicle. The only negative is, as you mentioned, the screen can be a bit confusing and the touch options aren't that great. But overall a fun car to drive
Hi all, I'd like to ask if anybody else in there formentors if they've had issues with the wiper blades hitting the trim of the windscreen, obviously raining in this video so was there any problem or not?.. After having my car a year now I'd have to say there's a few things starting to gripe me,I've recently had to change wiper blades as they were scuffing the screen, squeeky brakes, drivers arm rest is quite a distance away it feels, the only way to actually get full effect is if you have the seat lowest position but then you can't see over the intrusive bonnet 😩, and don't get me started on the infotainment, 😖, I absolutely love the look and style of the car and I don't wanna give it up but after only a year I'm kinda window shopping.. Great video BTW, ❤
Got the V2 dsg 1.5 in Nevada white with beats sub upgrade took 8 months from order to arriving...done 6k in 6 months and loved every single mile... Great review!

Hi, isit worth dropping the model and gettin the 1.5 71 reg v1? Are there many differences/ what are the key differences? Because this v2 looks amazing.
Got our 1.5 V2 DSG around 2 months ago and it’s a lovely drive. Still coming to terms with the high bonnet in terms of parking, but the park assist works well, other than when it didn’t inform my wife she was about to hit a car and it now has damage to the rear quarter. And… yesterday the dreaded infotainment system informed me that it needed a service, it’s only done 1500 miles. I now need to call the dealer. The infotainment system seems to be this cars Achilles heal.
We got our 4 months ago .Amazing car.Don't know about 1.5 tsi but we have 2.0 diesel with 150hps and car feels so underpowered that I just can't believe. And this is coming from person who is not crazy for speeding. Great video.Cheers
@zakriyyanazir6263 sorry I didn't mention country.I live in Ireland and here you can buy Formentor diesel.First choice was Cupra Leon but diesel is not available in Ireland. Ps don't think I am some diesel fanatic but my opinion is with my yearly mileage those engines are more durable 😊
I have the diesel too and I've had a Leon FR184 diesel previously. Obvs the Cupra is slower but I''ve adjusted my driving style to get most from the 150, which is closer to165 in reality. In conclusion, driving style with diesel is imperative@@hello88820
Great video, I am considering this car and was trying to decide which spec to go for, it’s not that clear on the cupra website but now I know I need this trim after watching this so thank you!! Order incoming…..
It's basically a souped up Leon, I would prefer my 1.5 ETSI Leon FR estate to that personally, more boot space and still a great drive and slightly better economy from the same engine and gearbox setup 🙂

Getting 1.5 petrol auto with V2 trim. £4K deposit, 3 years, 15000 miles pa and payments are £440 per month on pcp. Much higher than the the £200 and something mentioned but I guess this is because of mileage, V2 trim and auto. Thanks
Hi Oliver, Thank you for your test report you have put my mind at rest that the V2 1.5 was a good choice than going for a higher trim level. My current Leon has the same engine and I am happy with it so. The Formentor with the same engine will be a wise choice for me. My V2 is down to be built in 4 week 2024. So I hope it won't get any more delays.

@@ZingiForTheWin How long have you got? Boot small. No 12v socket in it. Petrol tank tiny. I have to fill you almost every day. Real world electric range, about 10 miles. Sun glares off bonnet (and sometimes rear wing arches) into eyes. Touch sensitive buttons for front and rear screen and fog lights very dangerous to use when driving. 2 cup holders? You can only use 1 (they arm rest stops you using the rear one) ‘Infotainment’ screen, dangerous to use when driving, and it’s slow (and it controls almost everything). Ambient lighting, pointless, it’s just distracting (mines always switched off now). Collision warning, cruise control, automatic headlamps: only work when they want to. Rear screen gets very dirty. Road noise intrusive. It goes well and handles well. But then so does every car when you’re doing 20mph on the M6! It looks pretty. That’s why people get fooled into buying it. Generally, it’s very annoying to live with on a daily basis. I know. I have now done 11,000 miles in mine. Glad the company bought it and not me. Oh yes, and the key fob batteries last 4 to 5 weeks. Twice now I’ve had to go and buy a battery so I can lock it. DONT BUY IT. Unless you like fake plastic exhaust pipes. Then you deserve one.
@@acptelford1307 or.... Buy a vz310. Bloody fast 4wd with great launch. Real exhaust, 12v socket and 230v. Ours is white so no sun glare problems. Road noice comes from the rear wheels when cheap shitty tires are mounted wich are cupping. Agree that the safety systems are a bit annoying sometimes. But that's the only downside i can mention. But all new cars have them. Boot isn't very big but I'm on a holiday now in France with my wife and 2 kids(7 and10) Everything fitted easily. Another plus is the legroom in the backseats. Bigger than my previous Cupra st.

Style over substance. 9500 miles so far. Not a well thought out car at all. Okay for people who are impressed by fake plastic exhaust pipes.
Appreciate you sharing your experience with this car. It’s great to hear from real owners. Thanks for chatting to us 🤗
please elaborate.. I would really much like to cons of this car and i cant seem to find any real critisizim that is not random...
Boot isn't very big but I'm on a holiday now in France with my wife and 2 kids(7 and10)
Everything fitted easily.
Another plus is the legroom in the backseats.
Bigger than my previous Cupra st.
