Federal Signal 2T22 Siren Test La Crosse, WI 7-5-2021

- Back on 7-5-2021 me and Amos decided to record the 28th and Farnam 2T22 in La Crosse WI for the La Crosse County Monthly test for July. Unfortunately this was this 2T22's last test that was recorded. On August 30th, 2021, the 2T22 was replaced by a FS 508-128. I have a video that I will post after this one of the 2T22 getting replaced, so stay tuned.

Beautiful sounding 2t22 wow almost 60 years old that is fantastic!!!!!!
It served the neighborhood well, and was the final holdout!
I have many good memories and recordings with this exact 2t22 and I have a recording of it going off in a severe thunderstorm warning! I will be making a video soon of my good recordings of this siren! I’ll sure miss it but at least it lasted as long as it did! Was a simple fix but can’t last forever!

@@United_HVAC_and_Fans Unfortunately the 2T22 was replaced on August 30th with a 508, as seen at the end of the video
Why was it replaced?
The blocked intake makes it sound like a FS&S model with a General Electric motor

I think it has been refurbished before because it looks like someone put the rotors in wrong.
What would happen if I stuck my finger in the chopper while it was going off? Would it chop my finger off?
Yes it would for sure with no hesitation
sounds like one of the intakes might be blocked
You are correct, the top intake was blocked

@@Whyyoutubewhy.. The low one did not look that bad, but for sure the top intake had lots of crap in the top. I saw it when it was on the ground when it was replaced.

The day after this last test of the 2t22 it got replaced by a 508.
