Also dedicate the first few rounds to learning its attacks and how to dodge them. Hope this helps anyone whose struggling!!
If you use the rich get richer rune along with the mobile turrets upgrade for the chain gun it makes you just do devastating damage with infinite ammo and its just crazy as long as you can dodge his attacks. All I did to do that was constantly strafe left in a circle around him and occasionally jump to dodge those waves and I barely got hit. Did it on ultra nightmare no problem
I can't believe I went through my first playthrough of Doom without a HUD. I kept hearing people talk about health bars, but my game didn't have any lol. On my collectibles playthrough I've turned it on.
Saving throw rune took me no joke about 60 trys, I did rich get richer first try but I have barely used guass cannon at all. Youre tips got me throught it. Thank you for this excellent video though, really cool to see it helping people 7 years later 💪
At 24:44 durring the giant battle the game glitched and i got stuck in a box. The last two monsters killed each other while i was in the box and the game saved "check point" i had to blow myself up to get out.
In the same room as 14:00, if you look on the shelf behind the armor pick-up, you can see the Soul Cube, a powerful weapon and plot device from Doom 3. It's not a secret or collectible or anything, but it's a nice little throwback.

The last battle royale ending 26:30: I immediately jumped to the double-stacked boxes on the left after the teleport. You can dodge and duck there, resulting in lots of enemy v. enemy kills. Use your grenades to revive health if you get hit with the green electrical goo. Other than that -- headshotting with the har and pistol, using almost no other weap.
In the room with the multiple pinkys, you can peak behind the 3 tablets and pick off the pinkys with the gauss rifle one by one. It helped tremendously as I was playing on nightmare
At 15:00 the demons all spawn where you are looking. I used to always run around the room, wondering why the demons spawned all over. if you look in one area the demons will almost all spawn in that area. Just a little helpful hint.
I've found the ammo boost 2 rune to be extremely useful to replenish BFG ammo, even when using the BFG itself. So in some cases it has greatly helped me get at least one (and at rare times two) bfg ammo shots outside of what the level would give, so it makes it easier to wipeout the beginning of that last arena before the cyberdemon, then switching to either Equipment rune (for Siphon grenade/hologram) or armored offense to get as much armor as possible during fight to keep Rich Get Richer 2 active, spam either micro missiles or mobile turret, if fully mastered. Also hologram is incredibly useful, a few seconds of demons not paying attention to you is crucial when moving away from epicenter of danger or when thinking of what weapon to switch into.
I highly suggest equipping the Rich Get Richer II rune, since your standard weapon won't be consuming any ammo, as long as your armor is above 100 (for me it worked until the armor went below 50). This means you can basically micro-missile this dude for the whole entire first phase.
20:22 the stick/level is not right there. You hit the control (around the circle), Level appears, to the left of where the Hologram of Olivia Sacrifice in someone. The Secret room is still in the same place through.
You actually only have to interact with one of the walls and it will simply come out, start looking at the walls until the game prompts you to interact when you touch the right one.

Hey Maka, you said this is the last mission with challenges in it but the entire rest of the game has 3/mission. Do you have a guide anywhere for dealing with those? PS love your work man!
2023 and here I am playing doom again. So I finally managed to kill that boss. Thank you sir for your video. Took me many trials but i did it. Peace out.
Dammit...I finished the level with like a tiny sliver left from getting my 5th Combat circle. I don't what happened here...I never skip enemies, I don't get why I didn't get it. Will I have to replay the entire level again to ensure I'll have enough upgrade tokens?
Another great vid from you! Funny that you said it took you about ten tries with that last Rune. For me it was about 15 tries on the first one, and only two on the second
The Cyber Demons are a challenge my hands were tired from the tries before killing it. and those twins doing that levitation magic act in the Hell world. I always enjoy the big fucking gun oh that is my all time favorite. also took long periods of time finding the hatch in the floor. the rural trials had me panting for breath with all the running around. those green glowing stones in hell that tell stories of the Doom Slayer. the low voice sounds a lot like Doctor Claw I noticed it. and yes I realize it's not the actor that did the voice of Doctor Claw in the animated Inspector Gadget series on television.
I remember once i came here, i felt like all i had one in the past levels has finally come into frutation, i was so satisfied with the boss and my progress
I really like your walkthrough guides and they really save me quite some time finding all the collectibles. However now I'm really struggling with the second part of the Cyberdeamon even on easy difficulty. Not sure if I gonna make it...
Hey Maka. Been following you a while. Do you get any help with finding everything and all challenges in a game?? You seem to post videos on release days with all trophies and challenges and it can take me weeks to find some of them. How do you do it? :)
I found most of the Rune trials to be fairly challenging, a couple of them were just easy... but this last one... fuck this last one right in the fucking ass.
Jack Talbain It was hard, but I think the hardest challenge is the one of the rocket launcher, I mean I died uncountuble times cause I get 70% of damage from my own freaking blasts, not mentioning the bunch of monsters after your ass, at least in ultraviolence difficulty is a damn shit, the last one I beat it on the third time :3
The Saving Throw took me forever to get through, and I didn't think I would. When I played this on PC, I had to hack into God Mode for the second phase of the Cyber Demon. Will have to see how it goes playing on XBox.
"You have to use the bfg, unless you're a master god with the Gauss Cannon" Me: *Laughs in Mastered Precision Bolt Mod, which causes demons killed by the bolt to explode and kill or stagger any demon within it's radius*
protip: you can actually reload from your last checkpoint and the game will save and stack your challenges. So you can fire the BFG, reload, and you''ll have your ammo back as well as the challenge completed. You can also do this while farming for rune/weapon mastery.
Correction. After activating the elevator, the lever materialized in the left room that Maka said to ignore. There was definitely nothing in there before activating the elevator.
I managed to cheese the fight at 10:47 by staying behind the rock slabs and lobbing grenades out into the open area until the noise level went down significantly. I then killed the 3 remaining imps on the other side of the area with grenades. I don't know what happened to the pink demons. There were none alive when I finished off the imps. They must have died to my grenades or the imps killed them.
The chain gun is also amazing for the boss fight, just make sure you have the infinite ammo when max armor rune active along with the mobile turret fully maxxed. You can rain hell non stop. I took him down in less than a minute
Dude, you make it look easy. (Little ashamed of myself) I set the game down for at least a month, because I was unable to get it. Picked it back up today & got it my 3rd-4th try. (I'm not good at games like this)

Thanks I was struggling on this on
2023 and here I am playing doom again.
TheViper4Life no
John Schnatter Thank you, but I have since gotten the Platinum trophy in the game.
Another great vid from you! Funny that you said it took you about ten tries with that last Rune. For me it was about 15 tries on the first one, and only two on the second
Lucky I lost fucking count lol
The Cyber Demons are a challenge my hands were tired from the tries before killing it. and those twins doing that levitation magic act in the Hell world. I always enjoy the big fucking gun oh that is my all time favorite. also took long periods of time finding the hatch in the floor. the rural trials had me panting for breath with all the running around. those green glowing stones in hell that tell stories of the Doom Slayer. the low voice sounds a lot like Doctor Claw I noticed it. and yes I realize it's not the actor that did the voice of Doctor Claw in the animated Inspector Gadget series on television.
that rocket launcher challenge was annoying..
but the gauss cannon is worse..
I did the Gauss Cannon one just now. It took some effort in handheld mode on the Switch.
Jack Talbain yes it is very unfair
Jack Talbain never mind I just completed it thank god I was getting very angry at it
Jack Talbain It was hard, but I think the hardest challenge is the one of the rocket launcher, I mean I died uncountuble times cause I get 70% of damage from my own freaking blasts, not mentioning the bunch of monsters after your ass, at least in ultraviolence difficulty is a damn shit, the last one I beat it on the third time :3
Jorge Hugo dude im still on it and its 90% of the time the rockets hit the damn wall and time i almost beat it but the timer fuckin ran out
lol
@Maka91Productions those blue power ups you say dont do anything give you 200 health and armour. Amazing walkthrough man!
Thank you for helping me beat this boss fight
You have been the best help!!!! Onto the next
Many thanks from London for your help
Dude your awesome thank you for your help.
this is very helpful thank you good sir
Side note.... Next to the argent cell... You can find the soul cube!
Nice nod to Doom3
The Saving Throw took me forever to get through, and I didn't think I would. When I played this on PC, I had to hack into God Mode for the second phase of the Cyber Demon. Will have to see how it goes playing on XBox.
I did not think of using the BFG for the killing 8 in one shot challenge lol, I used Siege mode and it took me forever
THE FIRST FUCKING DATA LOG WAS ON THE COUNTER!!!... Thank you so much i thought i had to do some crazy shit to get into the room.
"You have to use the bfg, unless you're a master god with the Gauss Cannon"
Me: *Laughs in Mastered Precision Bolt Mod, which causes demons killed by the bolt to explode and kill or stagger any demon within it's radius*
Thanks, Maka!
THE CYBERDEMON WAS SO HARD I CRIED BUT THANK THE LORD I FINISHED IT!!!
protip: you can actually reload from your last checkpoint and the game will save and stack your challenges. So you can fire the BFG, reload, and you''ll have your ammo back as well as the challenge completed. You can also do this while farming for rune/weapon mastery.
That rocket rune took me over an hour. Jesus bloody hell
Correction. After activating the elevator, the lever materialized in the left room that Maka said to ignore. There was definitely nothing in there before activating the elevator.
Thanks! It didn't spawn the lever on my screen until I pushed the button and went back to the left room
lever for what exactly?
xdsmastermia the classic map for this level
Thank you!
(I'm not good at games like this)
I'm having a much easier time playing on Nightmare while watching these than when I played on Ultra-Violence without this guy's assistance... Can't believe some dude I never met could've made me that much better at FPSs
