He just won a 1v2 solo, if his buddy can't clean up 1 person he would have needed the hp from the Phoenix, his teammate had full HP while the dude was at like 5hp.

That's how games get thrown, he was right to finish that kit it could have been the difference between living a third and dying there
@@mcshadowdraglisten to the pro’s. Popping a phoenix during a fight is a big no no. And yes he had clear line of sight so he should have canceled to shoot. It’s easier to survive a third party with 2 man up than having to res everybody.
@@lagoshustler5525argument from authority is a logical fallacy. "He is a pro so what he says must be true" is not a valid approach.
There are times when you pop a phoenix mid fight, but here specifically, you can make the argument the guy should have popped a battery instead. Regardless, once he was halfway, it was better to finish and let his teammate 1v1 the guy since he himself is obviously good and gaining full health would ensure victory in case his teammate, which was hurt when the guy saw the enemy anyway, lost. Otherwise there was a good chance the enemy could clean him up too right after.
You would be fucked with a 3rd party regardless of whether you are 2 barely alive guys or 1 full health guy. The only dynamic that mattered was how to most safely win the current engagement, and that was done by finishing the phoenix.
As much as I want the Masters badge or Diamond badge, they really need to work on this new ranked idea. Maybe keep the placement bonus but not as much as it is now. Camping doesn’t make you a good player
should just make it where the higher rank you are the higher placements you need instead of it being 10th place for all ranks. on top of that they should still have increasing LP cost.
Roller AA too strong just carried him to silver when he moving and playing like a bot. Truly Roller AA isnt OP xD. If roller gets nerfed all these pred rollers should be hardstuck diamond/masters.

I’ve been saying this since the first season. The ranked system is built around how much time you put into playing matches, not skill. Damage based RP would give me more of an incentive to climb the ranks. Especially when you are stuck in silver and gold, drop 1k damage, get a couple kills but you lost RP because there was 13 other squads playing with themselves in some bushes somewhere until the final circle.
you can get all the dmg in the world but if you dont get top 10 what do you have to show for? its a br not a call of duty hardpoint. they need to unlock the kill bonus again and keep the lp placement points and make it to where preds start at -100 or whtever again everyone being at -35 is dumb as hell. bro this season if you are bronze and drop crazy dmg etc you get place against kids like tht no matter the rank. i was bronze paring with diamonds and fighting preds and im masters now. everyone thinks they should just run around and gun if that is the case go play a call of duty 6v6 gamemode bc this is br only damn thing that should matter is placement br means last one alive and ppl out here thinking it means KILL WHORE. lmaooo if you wanna kill whore go play pubs ranked is smart rotations, smart gunfights, and placement not just running around getting dmg and kills lmaoooo they want ranked to be played like algs.
Damage should go into account, but then it would be camping and using snipers meta, ranked should be a mix of what ranks people are of who you kill, damage (shouldn’t be too much rp given), kills, placement (above top 10) and entry cost, however I do think every rank having the same entry cost is nice besides Pred and Masters, people should have to fight to maintain top 750 or even masters

Just sounds like you aren't skilled enough to make smart decisions, every fight doesn't need to be pushed, nor does getting 1k Dmg and a few kills mean you should move up in the ranks,
Placement aka winning the game should always be the top priority, too many people wanna play like their pros when they don't have the mechanical skill to do so, leading to you dying, I don't have these problems I take fights when they are advantageous but with this being said I pay more attention to where other teams are before pushing anything,
You get better game sense by playing like the ranked season requires, smart, slow and cautious, not once have you seen wraith come on screen in a comic and go

Everytime you see wraith in a comic or a short, she's taking the best path to get a win for her team.
Never have any apex related content glorified getting kills, only glorification on the win because that's always been the main objective to play any battle royale game, your kills are irrelevant if your throwing to get them

I’m diamond3 and this was the easiest rank up in my entire time playing Apex they really need to fix the ranking system it doesn’t matter if u get kills unless u win and if u get kills and don’t win u get zero points for it

Multiple times ive had games with 8 kp and still lose points because of one bad decision and dying before getting to end game. And i also have teammates that decise to play solo in a team game
I also have a hard time playing safe because I love playing aggressive. I can't get myself to hide and run all game

If you've had multiple games with 8kp and your squad is being eliminated before 10th place, then you're playing this season wrong. At 10th place, you gain LP no matter how many kills you have. So you're better off playing safe until10th, and then fighting.

Sorry for this Hot Take: Sometime I felt quite many are not deserving of how they rank, sorry for being honest, shows in some of the video Timmy watched here. You can tell how many mistakes they make in a diamond and above rank, which should not happened. I belief some are probably 3 stacked with friends - natural advantage to solos, or grind long enough to get them where they are.
And the roller master clip... is really very hard for me to believe it is a master play.

At the start of the season I was in silver but constantly getting matched against top 100 preds, this is after not playing ranked for 3 seasons, and when I did play ranked I just barley squeezed into diamond, and pubs are no better. After 3 weeks of getting pumbled by preds it's finally giving me diamond players but if I have 1 good game it's back to preds or masters. I really just don't even want to play anymore.

same boat as me, ive come to the conclusion that diamond games don't exist. Only like once or twice every 10 games I get a game with other diamonds or plats. Normally its just with masters or pred's :/ not to mention I peaked diamond 2 this season which is the highest I've ever gotten solo q. I don't even feel like I deserve it tho cause Im forced to play for placement most the time. I've quit for this season for that reason because I don't wanna get masters solo when it means nothing considering I've been hard stuck d4-d3 every season since I first started takin ranked seriously in season 9. Getting masters this season would invalidate the struggle of those past seasons and I wouldn't feel any accomplishment from getting it

@@VAs_B.A.T casuals quit season 13 split 1 and why they went to a heavier KP system split 2. pros and good players still obviously liked it but respawn likes to keep player retention in ranked. they misfired this season though badly. retention will drop heavily with most ranked grinders reaching masters early
@@RideTheSkies I’m a causal player and a rank grinder and I loved season 13 ranked . I’m all about improving my skills. This season is helping me with my end game skills so I’m enjoying it. I’m in diamond right now. And I love that it’s getting harder to grind up. I just wish respawn would get it right!!
I hate the state of ranked right now, Im plat II right now, but I should've never exceeded beyond plat IV imho. Not compared to earlier seasons + my former (better) muscle memory / skill.

I agree that the system needs a fix. But these diamond end games have been fun. 8 squads at round 5 closing has been so fun. This season is what you make it imo.

Endgames use to be like this in the past. I'm guessing a lot of vet players just don't care much for it anymore. When I started out playing, it was common for me and my teammates to be holding one area while another team held another nearby, and another team would be across the way.
Obviously something changed but I can't say what exactly, but I can only assume that it's because a lot of players just want to get in a game and get out.
Even I noticed the endgames in pubs and ranked are lacking.

Idk, if people would care less about what rank they are in and be honest with themselves, I think people would agree that this ranked season has been way more fun than previous seasons. Its not perfect, but I consistently get actual fun ending circles in Plat and Diamond lobbies right now

I understand that Timmy is a high level player but sometimes i feel like these players expect too much from other people and think every play has to be perfect. People make mistakes and miss shots and thats fine so some of his guesses i feel are just very ego oriented.

Some people did genuinely deserve bad ratings but there are some people in the video who just missed a few shots or a slide didn't go the right way and Timmy instantly treated them like they were lesser. I'm 300 LP from hitting Platinum I no sweat, before this season the furthest I went was 1 point for Diamond IV (S14 iirc), I'm not sure how to feel about the new ranked system, I feel like I'm maintaining my rank, and since I can't see others people's rank I can't tell if I'm really being put with masters (like many say 🙄).

it’s super disappointing to have a good comp season, performance wise, when it’s so easy to rank up right now. doesn’t make me feel like i’ve earned it, even though i can feel myself progressing as a player
I feel the exact same way. I know I’m much much better than my d4 self last season, possibly even could hit master in the old system, but now I don’t even care that I hit master.
I just started to try out Apex and after it took what felt like years to get to level 50, I start playing Ranked and the climb is really fast rn. I wish I could have climbed and joined when It really mattered.

The ranked system was busted the moment that they made it more survival oriented. If I get 7-8 kills by killing 3 squads and then get killed by a 3rd party and place 15th. I expect to get friggin positive Rp/Lp not negative because I didn't place top 10. It's stupid.

Most of the clips are from earlier seasons (blurring out the logs as their ranks was showing there). I do agree the current system is the worst they could ever think of though as most masters can't even aim properly.

Last couple seasons I have been a plat 1 - diamond 3 player. I know I am a slightly above average player but this season I have easily achieved master and have been rolling lobby’s. The system is definitely messed up
I think this season if u play semi aggressively as if kills mattered then on average ur actually a tier below what u should be. For example I’m Diamond rn but it feels like plat lobbies

Yesterday I had a solo rank game because my m8s died early with 12 kills and 6th or 7th place. In zone 6 were still 8 or 9 squads a life so I had no chance to hide anyway.
And I got between 50 and 100 lp for that😐
for some reason i wasnt able to play in diamond rank before it was blocked in my server and i had to play in high ping servers. but now it is fixed and i was able to play diamond rank games and actually reached masters(in 2nd week after s17 release). i actually didnt rat and went for kills and then played for placement holding buildings and shit. I actually happy with this ranked system except they need to change LP system like giving LP for kills instead of placement. There were several instances where i had 6+ kills and died at 8th place only getting +80 or somethin meanwhile a rat can get 135 with zero dmg.
This can be fixed by adding a skill value. will go positive only if u do dmg and kills. ofcourse they can put placement points but a bit reduced.
Honestly I hate the 🐀 ratting more than Rank system lol 😂

last time I played ranked I was plat. I get back on from my hiatus and I cant even get past bronze because they have me facing plats while Im on bronze level. I was even stuck on rookie for a whole day. smh

The problem with the system is simple. Make kills give you the bonus they used to without a cap. I played a game where I got 1st place with 7 kills (Medium effort) and I only got 312 LP. If I were to not try for kills and place 3rd twice by ratting (0 effort)I would get the same amount of LP. That doesnt incentivize me to actually play the game.
I got one were I was 5th or 4th squad with 6 kills and got 850🤣

I have a Masters badge (from gold to master in 3 days) and my aiming and movements are no better than most of the players in this video, and I don't care what bloggers think about it. Apex is not only about aiming or jumping, there are many other components in the game that "sharp shooters" neglect. Each player has their own advantages. If one has good aiming and jumping, the other will have a better sense of timing and risk management. You can't judge by short distances. Especially to argue that something is wrong with the game.
3:13, imma have to disagree, his teammate is full health if he gets knocked its fine as he his going to be full purple and health and can easily take out the enemy who is weakend, personally he played it well
I just hit masters tonight and after watching this I feel ashamed. No I didn’t rat my way there (unless I had to.) I grinded for the last week or so from silver to get here and it just doesn’t seem like I’m actually good enough to wear the badge.
After 3k hours in this game, all on mnk ive started to quit the game. Its not rewarding and just flat out boring

I started playing halfway through season 16 and got to Silver 1 before the season ended. I’m currently Plat 3 and I didn’t change my play style at all. I’m not ratting, I’m taking fights, and actually playing the game but I’m substantially higher than I was last season. I have no idea why

i’m a bronze player. i was never good at apex and just started playing again this week. getting out of bronze feels like an eternal struggle because i’m not good enough to consistently win fights and i don’t want to camp. any tips?
You have to camp at some points. Iam high diamond player.
Practice aiming and recoil in firing range.
Choose few favorite legends.
In bronze most ppl are bad so you cant rely on them to win fights.
Currently ranked is chaos because of camping system

True skill are no stacked teams and let the chips fall as hey will.remember elite cues? You had to qualifyfor those. If you did not maintain a certain kill count you would not qualify.

they now also dont give you bonus LP anymore, so ratting will be even more rewarded because why fight a team? -> if you win, wow you got some KP that doesnt matter and if you lose you get -35 !! GREAT JOB EA! Just go next sesaon quick, I get a complete RAT in my team every third game, like dude just play normally you are ruining the game for your 2 mates

40%+ are in masters now. This tanked season needs to be deleted. Every game you play without a 3 stack has someone that just runs at the sound of gunfire to rat.
No matter how bad the rank system is, i still believe that the loot system is still, probably the worst thing in the entire game. I've gone 17 games in a row where i land on a building to find 1 p2020 and nothing else, or nothing in that building at all. 5 out of 10 bins have no guns. So many landing situation relies too much on loot rng, to the point where its getting really ridiculous. Fights where we should win but we lose due to the loot system being dogshit. There should be no way I should be able to find more p2020s and mozams on the ground the shield cells. LIKE I SWEAR P2020s TAKE UP MORE THAN 10% OF THE LOOT IN THE ENTIRE MAP.

I don't think i'll vote any lower than gold. Plat is free as hell, even before. Rookie-Gold literally the same rank. Plat is the bare minimum if you play ranked at least 1 game a day
