Apex ranked tracker says that about 20% of players are in Master right now, and everywhere else is fairly even across the board. This is because the ranked system this season is based off of placement. If they add a feature where you have to get at LEAST one kill/assist in order for placement points to come into play, then this would fix a lot of the problem. For example, pretend a rat gets to top 5 with no kills. That player will get -RP equal to just starting the game with 20 squads. It's a simple fix, but I think it could be enough to help reduce rats heavily.
If they are going to base off kills they should base it off team kills as a whole or damage, a player can have a bunch of damage and no kills. Also if each teammate gets 10 kills that is a whole 30 bombs. It would be hard to have a lp gap between the squad mates who get like only around 2-5 kills per game

Timmy used to get these right 9 out of 10 times, and the one time he might have been wronged, the answer would have been very close to the guess. Now, he is miles off. The ranked system is definitely busted.
My options as a fan are increased LP count, participation points are doubled, assists are doubled after a certain amount (say three for example), and entry deduction is increased.
The other spectrum insists of a demotion of points for players who don’t help teammates (assists, participation, reviving, giving shields, etc). There should be a threshold for the amount since small efforts alone aren’t accountable for skill and communication.
I’m sorry but players who leave us with no plans of respawn & do nothing at all to help, I feel sorry for you. You are receiving a lot of negative attention and I hope you people try to improve at the game at least or play something else.
I know there are players who just want top ten but some of us want fights off drop then we can decide where to go and what fights to take. Sometimes I land alone to rotate nearby if there are a few teams, say five in a general area and I tell my TMs “hey there are some teams fighting and others might rotate soon, let’s get one or two then rotate” or “Drop nearby and push when they’re cracked but don’t fully commit to their spacing until we knock one”. You should always attempt some form of communication to let your teammates know how and when you want to fight or retreat.

This is the first time in apex, when i was in silver and matched with diamond and plat so often. I dont know if the system is broken or its my luck, but its just weird, im a casual player i enjoy ranked since its more focused on team play and strategy than just random run and gun, but this season is just meh.

Relatable. This is my first season actually playing and participating in ranked and I hit silver yesterday but I’ve been playing with diamond and plat players pretty often too.

The whole objective is to be the last team standing, not get as many kills as possible, that’s what TDM is for
So putting priority on objective is a good thing to cut down on everyone hot dropping and being down to 7 squads in the first 2 minutes
It's based on hidden MMR. Their rank may be Plat or Diamond but their real rank given to them by the game is Silver or Gold
i just think this season, you'll eventually get masters if you play more and don't die before 10 squads, like in a much more faster and easier rate.

I’ve always solo queued to masters before this season and it would take a good month or two
I reached it in the first week and play sporadically bc of my work and life tbh
When I do play, I can’t tell you how many times I think my teammate(s) are diamond, plat, or gold
Every single one of them are 24k masters

I stopped playing ranked 2 weeks into the new season, now I only play duos and LTMs and this game is so much more fun to me now and I'm not hating my life
Ranked in this season was 100% broken, I got masters while normally I'm plat, maybe diamond

It’s not just busted it’s completely idiotic and I don’t know how they thought this was good to launch as the new ranked system. I got to masters in like 3 weeks. After not playing at all this season for the first month. I didn’t rat like many did but it’s still ridiculous. All I had to do was try to make it to top 10 then I’d go all out. Such a joke

I started playing the game at the end of last season and somehow I’m in masters, that’s how Ik it’s a joke bc I don’t deserve it and I didn’t even rat for it either just play time it’s stupid
I wish they would explain why they changed ranked. It seems like they have changed it even more now? A while ago when I played it, they made it far more difficult to hit a high rank. But why do that? Isnt it obvious that players will get dissatified? I wonder why they did it.
tbh the clips i was more impressed with were the ones he gave lower, and i dont have clips half as good as some of these and i was diamond in season 9 - 10 , ranked isnt about being flashy af, its all about game sense

I’m sick of the mods. There’s no skill anymore. I’m diamond rn and a guy from 300 meters shot towards me while I was completely hidden behind an object. What is with people doing a 360 and shooting me down mid fight. It’s straight aim snapping!
Not to mention the current trident glitch where you take NO DAMAGE. One fuse absolutely railed me as his teammate boosted with it. Majority headshots. Lucky shots huh? No. Proceeded to take my entire team the same way. Bite the bullet and ask fortnite for hack and mod help
This video has brought something to my attention. Every player he underestimates turns out to be higher ranked . All the players he gave to much props to were in lower rank than he initially thought.

I’ve been playing Apex for the past two seasons now started two seasons ago first season of ranked I hit plat 2 second season of rank. I made it into diamond 4 demoted to plat1. This season I am currently 30 K into masters. But I’ve played about 25 more days consecutively this season

The thing with the mew system is preds are still the top 750 players that is still an extremely hard feat. Id understand blaming the mew ranked system for undeserving masters but preds still gotta grind day after day to hold their spot.
pred this season is who just plays more tbh, its not about skill so much as time, alot of ALG players arent pred this season due to this
@heez218 pred is kinda always like this tho. Consistency beats skill for the pred grind. Lots of players are "good enough" to gain Consistently with a 3 stack in high level lobbies. Hell when I run with 2 other good players I have ran through lobbies in master level im sure anyone with a Consistent team can do this other seasons.
@@Skittlez_apex I feel u, I have mates who refuse to 3 stack pubs cause its literally too easy for them, and I carry that into ranked as solo queing is the challenge, but when u randomly get two at least half decent players its easy till u got the stacking teams left, but i mean this season is still pretty bad, previous seasons u had to have skill or be 3 stacking to get to pred, now i feel there are some average players who are in pred

It’s broken for your slim representation of the Apex Legends community. You do not dictate what gets patched or reworked and you are definitely not the one to be critiquing what works for them. They’ll be better, we’ll all be better off if the game was more open to those that show some intrigue toward the game with less than optimal skill. This high level wannabe mentality is disease to the Apex community.

There are alot of predator players that got carried to their ranks by friends I usually carry my friends so im guilty
I think that this Ranked system is okay, but it needs to take kills and assists into consideration. If you get 4 kills and 2 assists on landing, you can easily get -35 if someone third parties you. Placement thing is fine, but now a lot of guys that I play with will just camp and wait for the last ring to kick in. I hate it. They either rush or camp and it is infuriating since they do not communicate at all.
i agree with you, but i think they need to emphasize more on team assists/kills, and tone down the placement a bit. You'll still have people ratting if you keep placement the same. Especially in diamond lobbies and higher, since you'll still have players that are gold level and are garbage at fighting in this game compared to the other players they are playing against, so they will still rat if they still have the same benefit. This isn't my idea, but they need to make it where placement points are a lot less if the player has no kills, assists and like no damage. Once they get some a kill, assist or like 1000 damage, whatever comes first then have the game trigger the placement points. So if a rat gets 0 kills, 0 assist, and less than 1000 damage and they get top 2, they still lose some rp. Just an idea, not sure if it's the solution.
