  • I installed the Mowei (3-Pack) tempered glass screen protector on my new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phone. There were a few minor "hiccups" and "blemishes," but otherwise it was a decent installation.
    I hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for checking it out!

    I followed your video and installation was perfect on my S22 Ultra. I added extra coins and left the UV light on longer, as you suggested in the video, to ensure the glue adhered. I especially like your tip to check for a leveled surface throughout the Installation. In the end I didn't have to re-register my fingerprints, perhaps because I already had the touch sensitivity feature enabled or maybe the leveled surface and extra curing time. Either way I 'm pleased. Thanks for such a thorough tutorial. 💯💪🏿

      does it leave a mark at the fingerprint location? ive seen other video with the same technique, the weight added a small dent....it was really weird

    • @SimplyJellyJam
      @SimplyJellyJam  Год назад

      @@Skooz I saw some of those videos, too! I only had a tiny bubble near the fingerprint sensor, but no dent or other markings on my screen protector. The only annoying issue I encountered was the screen sliding a bit when I placed the weight and quarters on top of it. The adhesive leaked over parts of the edges when I slid the screen protector back into place, but I was able to scrape the dried adhesive off with the included knife blade. That may have been user error on my part since it was the first time I used a product that required a weight.

    • @SimplyJellyJam
      @SimplyJellyJam  Год назад

      @@Skooz In case it's important to note, I used 3 quarters on top of the weight. The tiny bubble did not impact the fingerprint sensor/reading at all.

    Great content. Great screen protector, but unfortunately, it's lifted every time when using cases like Supcase unicorn beetle pro or I-Blason Armorbox, or poetic spartan or otterbox defender. So, I gave up on glass screen protectors. The best film screen for the s23 ultra is Whitestone dome film screen protector. It's the only film screen protector that uses a UV light, which makes the film twice as strong as regular film screen protectors. And it fits great with the supcase unicorn beetle pro or I-Blason Armorbox or poetic spartan. No lift at all, and I like to change cases often.

    What is beter mowei screen protector or Whitestone Dome glass? Looking for a good screen protector for my S23 Ultra

    • @SimplyJellyJam
      @SimplyJellyJam  Год назад +1

      I personally haven't used the Whitestone (yet). Personally, I like the Mowei better than other cheaper versions I've used. You may want to pay attention to the frame included in the kit. I found the design of the frame makes a difference, especially if it has a built-in level and is your first time using this type of screen protector.

    • @peterward8574
      @peterward8574 Год назад

      I have used both and I don't rate the Whitestone dome, the protector starts falling to bits along the edges in no time and the mowei does not.

    Can this be removed when selling the phone or if you want to replace it?

    • @SimplyJellyJam
      @SimplyJellyJam  Год назад +2

      Oh, yeah! Use a blade, like the one included in the kit or a craft knife, to gently lift the edges of the screen protector. You'll be able to pry it off easily. Clean the screen with isopropyl alcohol (or tech cleaning wipe if preferred), and you're good to go!

    I installed two of them perfect no finger print that works. Now my phone smells like that gross glue. Will that smell every go away and can that glue ruin your phone?

    • @SimplyJellyJam
      @SimplyJellyJam  Год назад +2

      Hi! The smell may mean it didn't cure completely, meaning it didn't sit under the UV light long enough. Place the phone under the UV light for several more minutes to see if that'll eliminate the smell. This may also be why the fingerprint sensor isn't working. Also go into Settings>Display and enable "Touch Sensitivity". You may have to re-register your fingerprint after enabling the setting. The adhesive won't ruin the phone. If/when you remove the screen protector, you can remove any excess adhesive with rubbing alcohol.

      @@SimplyJellyJam thank you for the reply. I cured it the right way it said in the video on the box even did extra used the weight etc. I even changed the sensitivity settings in the app still finger did not work. I took it off after a hour and my phone smells like that glue so strong smell. I wonder if that glue would damage the phone or smell will go away since I took it off so fast. Thanks.

    Anyway to fix streaks of glue on the edges?

    • @SimplyJellyJam
      @SimplyJellyJam  Год назад +1

      Hi! That's what the razor blade is for. Once the glue is hardened, you can use the blade to gently scrape away any glue that made its way onto the edge.

      @@SimplyJellyJam sounds a bit scary lol. I could cut the screen

    • @SimplyJellyJam
      @SimplyJellyJam  Год назад +1

      @DrSkullfucker It's definitely scary the first time! Be gentle and go along the edge of the screen. Also, quit when your nerves get to you. You can always try again later or use a duller blade.

    • @kelbinhow
      @kelbinhow 3 месяца назад

      Don't be afraid of using the blade on the edges/scraping the glass itself because the blade won't do any damage to it, doesn't matter if it's razor sharp, it just won't scratch@@alexxxvill69

    I installed this glass on my Google Pixel 7 Pro. It fitted perfect and invisible. Fingerprint worked fine. But one day I had the phone in my pocket and sat down. After that I thought the screen Protector was cracked, but it was the display, not the protector. The protector ist intact. So my phone ist scrap.

    My phone screen is ruined¡! I had a horrible experience with a s20+. The curves are slightly off on the glass leaving both sides with gaps. Tried it twice with the same result. My screen now has a glare on it! HOW DO YOU GET THIS GLUE OFF!!!!!!!!!! Rubbing Alcohol don't work

    • @SimplyJellyJam
      @SimplyJellyJam  2 года назад +1

      That's awful! I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you. You could try acetone since rubbing alcohol doesn't work. If that doesn't work, maybe continue curing/hardening the glue with the IC light and try with rubbing alcohol or acetone again? I hope that helps to remove the glue.
