Great video, I've seen reviews for most all of these Double Glue Puddle Type Protectors to only put 1 Glue Spot for much better luck without getting air bubbles, etc. You did a great job. My problem is, I have a dusty house & by the time I clean the screen, add the glue, I'm already getting dust on the phone. I'm curious how these work with a case? I've been using Self Healing TPU Screen Protectors & they only last a week or 2 before getting sticky, peeling up, dust collecting around the edges, etc..
Do it in the bathroom with shower steaming up the room, it will drag the dust down out of the air. Keep in mind this glue stuff is a bit toxic, don't want to breathe it long. Got on my clothes and left a burn on my skin for a few hours.
What is the proper way to remove dust or lint from under the screen protector after application? In my case, the lint was black and I didn't see it while the screen was powered off.
Great video. I watched this and the manufactures video and still messed up my first one. Had air bubbles and tried to squeeze them out which made a right mess. I had to take it off, wipe the whole phone and start again with another set. 2nd time, I noticed I had more gap on the top than the bottom, left that for now. I only had 3 with my set, so got 1 left now. I have noticed the figure print sensor isn't as quick as before. But still not that bad. Fits with my original Samsung clear kickstand case.
Can't say my experience is the same. I have done two installations. Both had lift in the corners one I inserted the phone into its protective case, an i-Blason Ares.
The fingerprint IS an issue with this one for 2 reasons. The glass is thicker than most glass protectors. The area on the protector intended to be on top of the sensor is off center and only half covers the sensor.
Some how I did mine and it didn't leave a ring at all 🤔. Well probably because I didn't let it sit as long as he said with that weight on it, because I didn't want that ring on it like every video i seen. Anyway, It definitely didn't register my finger prints at all 🤣. I had to redo them, but it works fine now and no ring at all, thank God 🙌🏽
I have the same screen protector. Mine doesn't have a ring like that at all. I'm not sure what he did to cause they deep of a ring as the video was edited I believe cause he talked later on about putting more weight on that area which is not needed. I think he put too much weight or so and that's why that area is like that. I would say the less glue you have in-between the bigger it will come out and the FPS will be more effective as well. Mine works just great like as if it was stock. He did skip a few steps though cause I would recommend deleting all of your old fingerprints and rescanning them again.
Great video, but i wish someone would mention the obvious for us stupid people: MAKE SURE YOUR WORKSPACE IS LEVEL! It's hard to find a space in a house with 3 cats where fur isn't omnipresent, so I used the top of the washer for a table. It wasn't level and some of the "glue" ran off the side and, hence, there wasn't enough for a perfect installation. I'll use it for a few months and give it another go later. Glad there are 3 in the pack!
Since there is no camera hole cut out I would like to ask, does the screen protector affect the selfie camera quality? I'm considering buying this and would like to know about the concerns I have with it.
Hi. Many thanks for the instructive video. Although I've followed step-by-step the procedure in the video it ended up with a couple of bubbles. But, something that is bother me a lot, is it normal that after 2 days of having installed it the smell coming out of the glue is still reeking? I can feel it everywhere which is not good.
It should not be leaking. I would suggest putting the phone under the light and continuing to wipe it down. The allotted time for the light per the directions is not long enough. I would try another few minutes at minimum.
This time was a re-application so I came back to your guide. The screen protector did its job! I dropped my phone onto a metal table foot and the screen protector shattered, intact, but my screen underneath was perfectly fine. The old one came off easily enough and there were no little pieces of glass coming off it.
Hey... Just noticed that the weight included with this kit has a fine ridge around the outer edge (on both ends you can catch a fingernail on it)... I easily filed it off. Might make the ring less noticeable after the install?🤔... Hmmm. Not sure if I even want to lock my phone at all at this point!😐
You don't really want another layer of glass in front of the camera because the pictures don't come out looking as good as without. It blocks the light and sometimes it shows sun flares too

I assume it's the same for the Note20 Ultra... (I bought the correct protector already) Are there written / printable (PDF) instructions online anywhere? Also, would it hurt anything to cure the glue longer (by exposing to UV lamp for longer than 45+120+30+30 seconds)? Is there any reason I can't just use masking tape instead of the stickers to cover the ports & orifices at both ends of the phone?
ok so can you redo this install without using the weight.? I know it may possibly effect the sensor reading but I do not like that stupid circle peranently there. if one can install it without the weight does it still work?
I did that on realme GT but without UV tempered glass, and the fingerprint is perfect, so I suppose it will work just fine on s22 ultra because UV tempered glass is even thinner, lol and have more contact with the screen itself
I did a flawless install of the whitestone. It went on and looks perfect..But...fingerprint sensor is now very difficult to use. Probly going to remove the whitestone as much as I hate to.
@@tikkin11 did you adjust your touch sensitivity and re-register your finger prints.i have heard of people having this issue, but all the install videos seem to look like it works.fine.
@@terryeverly5617 I took the first Whitestone off and redid the job using the spare they provide in the kit. Stole an idea here from Mowie and put a weight in the fingerprint area while curing. This caused noticeably more glue to run out from the glass. Finished it up and now the sensor works much better. My conclusion is that Whitestone uses just a bit too much glue, and their plastic "weight" bar is not as effective as it should be. Why some Whitestones work and other don't is most likely related to exactly how much glue is in each tube.
@@chickenfordinner2093 Yes. Those provided side pads get most of it. Followed the Whitestone instructions of short cure, followed by wipe down and long cure. If I was starting over I would go with this Mowei kit.
Does the absorbent pad 100% prevent adhesive from getting in the earpiece speaker? I'm concerned it doesn't get taped over but capillary action should keep the fluid out of the hole if the absorbent pad is there, right?
The foam thingys kinda work but... take the guide strips and cover the bottom holes. Cut a tiny piece off of one and cover the tiny top hole. Just to ensure that nothing gets In The speakers. Also good tip, take your s-pen out when coving the holes for a smoother seam.
First thanks for the video. I had no metal cylinder in my one for the Pixel 7 Pro. All went perfect except 2 bubbles in the center of the screen. I was afraid to take it out before putting the lights but i should have done that i think. Guess i'm obliged to remove it completely now and put another, do you agree ? Thanks
Thank you for your support, are the bubbles small? If so maybe wait until the end of the week and see if they go away. If it bothers you (like it probably would me) I would just take it off and do it again.
@@HighTechCheck it wasn't going away because the light solidifies it I guess. I tried to put another one and there was even more bubbles, driving me crazy not to be able to do anything
I just installed mine today and I didn't leave the weight on as long as he did and I managed not to get a ring on my protector. I don't know how I did it, but I definitely had to redo my finger prints. So I probably had too much glue around the finger print area, because I had to clean it off after getting rid of the bubbles. So that's probably why I didn't have a ring.
I wondered with modern phone of 2022, Gorilla glass Victus + etc, do we even still need a screen protector to begin with ? (Case protector yes, but screen protector?)
Followed every step, even added 2 extra coins on fingerprint sensor. Display looks flawless, no bubbles or dust, but fingerprint sensor is bugging.... It doesnt even want to add new print 😔
I installed two of them perfect no finger print that works. Now my phone smells like that gross glue. Will that smell every go away and can that glue ruin your phone?
You can clean the glue off with iso alcohol, so yes. I'll be reusing one as soon as I take the time to do it. My first install went well but for some reason, after a week, the glue just gave up and the glass started to come off... The cold conditions may be to blame but I'm not 100% sure
With S23U this is the way to go. Others, with adhesive preapplied are quite crappy, so I am back to this. I say it is only worth the prise because competition is lackluster and the end result, when you are lucky is very nice. First one I did worked out great. No defects. Next 3 were failures and my phone is naked for the time being. They need to figure out better repeatability. There really is no way to get rid of bubbles once they form - you will either drain the glue from the top and sides or messing long enough in good lighting the glue dries and gets sticky, by that point it has failed. Anyone owning a high end phone should have better things to do with their time to repeatedly waste it on applying screen protector for an hour and failing. Bottom line: this screen protector as a whole is not a great product. It is the best only because competition is lackluster. And possibly because S23U screen is curved for no other reason than vanity and pain in the ass for screen protection.
I cannot manage getting this thing on without bubbles being left under it. so I'll probably either look for a different, non-liquid adhesive one or go completely without protector
So once you apply the liquid and lower the screen protector make sure both bubbles touch ever so slightly in the middle. Once that happens slowly lower the screen protector the rest of the way and boom you're done with no bubbles.
Ive tried without it and it didnt work at all so I'd say yes. I know how you feel about that circle, it drives me crazy. The glass needs to be as close to the screen as possible for it to work properly.
Need a good way to remove them after installing. I struggled recently to remove the dome one on my Note 10 Plus before I sent it back to Samsung. I almost want to avoid tempered glass on the S22 Ultra now.
Actually yes!! I can speak from experience. I have a kinda deep-ish scratch in the top center of the screen (I can catch a finger nail on it). I followed all of the instructions and you can't even tell there was ever a scratch. If you have very light scratches they'll just disappear.
Cover switches? Package says 9H hardness denoting sapphire. It's not! Same price as Whitestone dome. On one of the android forums, the recommendation is NO.
I had this screen protector for about 2 months. I dropped my phone from about 2.5 feet high and my screen cracked while the "protector" stayed intact. It even popped off of the screen without breaking. I followed the video exactly as shown.
Overall, the installation was relatively simple and the product fit perfectly. I gave it 4 stars due to the effect it has on the front camera. The screen protector rests on top of the front camera, causing images to not be as sharp. I prefer to have an opening on he protector for the camera In Amazon reviews

@@karthikeyans8922 just make sure you cover all the holes, so glue doesn't get in them. Especially on the bottom. On my application I noticed I may have added a bit too much and it ran on the bottom, had to scratch it off.
Worked great on my S22 ultra but I had a good size bubble near the middle of the screen,, so I gently worked it to the edge until it disappeared,, before I used the UV light to cure it. Worked great
thnks 4 this..this helped me
In my opinion I thought it was much cheaper than the whitedome but it is worth the same and in my opinion the white dome is a better option and brings more accessories that make your work easier and the footprint works perfectly that is my opinion
Wrong, DOME is a fucking mess and not as straight forward as this in any way, shape or form
@@goat8672 A MESS ? COME ON I AM NOT SPONSORED Dome, but i install that Proctectors whit my eyes close🤣🤣🤣 that easy is
My installation was going great until I bumped the guide against the glass, so now I have a small bubble on the screen. Minor inconvenience, but it still can live with it. Excellent tutorial nonetheless!
@@blaskotron So true. My hand is red as we speak. Attempt one failed.
That's because of the foam insert on top. Try to squeeze it tight into the frame AFTER you have the phone inserted
I always put 2 quarters under the weight and I haven't had any trouble with these protectors.
Bought this Set for my s21 ultra and apply it today. Im rly exzited and would buy again.
did you use two weights for the first hardening or for the second and then fit the light on top ?
@7:50 ... the only thing I don't like is the circle on the glass caused by the weight while curing.
Thats present and necessary in every screen protector
What case are you using in this video?
Did that circle around the fingerprint scanner dissappear after few hours or does it stays permanently?
The circle is the sticker once removed all that's left is the slightest divit in the shape of a circle. It's not even noticeable.
I use this as well. First protector I couldn't screw up during installation. 😄
well i did have 1 bubble on the edge, so after a few hours the fingerprint sensor did come up so i will have to put another one on.
Since there is no camera hole cut out
I would like to ask, does the screen protector affect the selfie camera quality?
I'm considering buying this and would like to know about the concerns I have with it.
Nope not at all
Definitely a better buy & similar application then the domeglass. I have Domeglass now but definitely picking this up
Able to follow your guide perfectly, thank you! Make sure you put the fingerprint sensor at the bottom end where the little weight goes ☺
This time was a re-application so I came back to your guide. The screen protector did its job! I dropped my phone onto a metal table foot and the screen protector shattered, intact, but my screen underneath was perfectly fine. The old one came off easily enough and there were no little pieces of glass coming off it.
What is beter mowei screen protector or Whitestone Dome glass? Looking for a good screen protector for my S23 Ultra
Hey... Just noticed that the weight included with this kit has a fine ridge around the outer edge (on both ends you can catch a fingernail on it)... I easily filed it off. Might make the ring less noticeable after the install?🤔... Hmmm.
Not sure if I even want to lock my phone at all at this point!😐
could you just tape one side of the weight?
@@BarretinJapanEasier to file the ridge off of the round weight. Tape just builds it up symmetrically. The metal is soft by the way.
I'd prefer this over the amFilm because there is no camera cutout, it makes it look so clean 😄
You don't really want another layer of glass in front of the camera because the pictures don't come out looking as good as without. It blocks the light and sometimes it shows sun flares too
Amfilm was awesome on my s20.I bought it again for the s22 ultra.
@@kokopuffs5789 I have a realme GT with tempered glass covering the front camera and had no issues with it, ofc it blocks the light when the glasss is dirty, but common, just clean it
@@teste-yh5df no issues here either so happy with it, and I have 2 spare in case this one breaks
You gotta mind the two blobs of glue don't encircle any bubbles before they reach the edge of the screen. Otherwise this is hard to mess up.
Do you have a preference for this or the AMFilm?
There is no camera hole, maybe it might affect the camera quality
That's weird
It doesn't
No
Just installed worked great. But when I scan Qr on box of product it said do not use USB c to usb c cable. Says it will not work.whats up with that. Mine did
I tried it and worked wornerfully untill 2 days later. There is a big bubble showing up at the bottom right cornee. I want to try again. Please tell me what i need to watch out to avoid this issue on my 2nd try. Thank you
Please review the ZAGG InvisibleShield screen protector
Funny how I run across this today. When mine came in the mail today 👀🤔
The Fingerprint dint work even with recalibration and Increased Sensitivity. Am i suppose to put weight while putting UV light on or before or after?
Followed your steps and worked perfectly! Thanks for the vid.
How's the camera quality?
I assume it's the same for the Note20 Ultra... (I bought the correct protector already)
Are there written / printable (PDF) instructions online anywhere?
Do tou think this is better than the whitestone dome tempered glass
I did a flawless install of the whitestone. It went on and looks perfect..But...fingerprint sensor is now very difficult to use. Probly
going to remove the whitestone as much as I hate to.
@@tikkin11 did you adjust your touch sensitivity and re-register your finger prints.i have heard of people having this issue, but all the install videos seem to look like it works.fine.
@@terryeverly5617 I took the first Whitestone off and redid the job using the spare they provide in the kit. Stole an idea here from Mowie and put a weight in the fingerprint area
while curing. This caused noticeably more glue to run out from the glass. Finished it up and now the sensor works much better. My conclusion is that
Whitestone uses just a bit too much glue, and their plastic "weight" bar is not as effective as it should be. Why some Whitestones work and other don't is most
likely related to exactly how much glue is in each tube.
@@tikkin11 is the glue easily removable from the sides?
@@chickenfordinner2093 Yes. Those provided side pads get most of it. Followed the Whitestone instructions of short cure, followed by wipe down and long cure.
If I was starting over I would go with this Mowei kit.
I used it with the s20 ultra and it was great, but is it good with the pen on the s22 ultra? Or do you recommend others?
Does the absorbent pad 100% prevent adhesive from getting in the earpiece speaker? I'm concerned it doesn't get taped over but capillary action should keep the fluid out of the hole if the absorbent pad is there, right?
I was worried about this as well and can confirm, the sponge/foam piece at the top prevents any liquid adhesive from entering there.
Thx for the video 👍 just got my S22 ultra and I'm torn between getting this mowei, Amfilm or the WS dome
🤔Yeah it's stupid. 😬But at least the modern screen protectors are better than they were 8 years ago😐
Does that weird circle go away with time
Just got it and installed, the finger print reader doesn't work.
It goes away after like a day or three. Leave it outside for like 30 min so it can air out.
Can i reuse the same Used Screenguard after removing it?
Do they send four different glasses with different functionalities? Or all of them are the same?
They're all the same. I need different eyeglasses for this install though!🧐🤓😎🥸
They send you 3 with the kit.
I'd love to support your channel by using your links but they are all US Amazon, can you add UK going forward ?
I cannot manage getting this thing on without bubbles being left under it. so I'll probably either look for a different, non-liquid adhesive one or go completely without protector
So once you apply the liquid and lower the screen protector make sure both bubbles touch ever so slightly in the middle. Once that happens slowly lower the screen protector the rest of the way and boom you're done with no bubbles.
Do I have to use the weight? I HATE that little circle mark that it left
Ive tried without it and it didnt work at all so I'd say yes. I know how you feel about that circle, it drives me crazy. The glass needs to be as close to the screen as possible for it to work properly.
7:49 A fingerprint scanner on the back would be nice🤔
it takes 24hr to cure and fix, and removing that after one or month is pain in ass, that's the problem with uv tempred glass.
Need a good way to remove them after installing. I struggled recently to remove the dome one on my Note 10 Plus before I sent it back to Samsung.
I almost want to avoid tempered glass on the S22 Ultra now.
Floss
Hey! Would the adhesive be able to fill in any scratches?
Thanks!
Actually yes!! I can speak from experience. I have a kinda deep-ish scratch in the top center of the screen (I can catch a finger nail on it). I followed all of the instructions and you can't even tell there was ever a scratch. If you have very light scratches they'll just disappear.
what's up with the razer blade ?
what do i do with the razer blade ?
Cut up the absorbing pads (light green) if needed, but I don't think most people will need or use it.
For small cuts to self if the screen protector doesn't work out 😂
I dont use a fingerprint sensor can I leave the weight off?
You don't need the weight then.
That circle around the sensor is weird.
This one sucks. In the sun the adhesive behind the protector likes to make a blemish in certain areas. Could never not have 1 tiny tiny bubble either.
Cover switches? Package says 9H hardness denoting sapphire. It's not!
Same price as Whitestone dome. On one of the android forums, the recommendation is NO.
Does it come with the weight or is it separate?
comes with it
I had this screen protector for about 2 months. I dropped my phone from about 2.5 feet high and my screen cracked while the "protector" stayed intact. It even popped off of the screen without breaking. I followed the video exactly as shown.
hows the front camera quality with the glass and adhesive over it ?
Overall, the installation was relatively simple and the product fit perfectly. I gave it 4 stars due to the effect it has on the front camera. The screen protector rests on top of the front camera, causing images to not be as sharp. I prefer to have an opening on he protector for the camera
In Amazon reviews
I have installed this on my S22 Ultra - zero impact to the camera - still looks like it did without the protector
I put mines on today and I have got lots of bubbles .. like the glue got stuck on one side.. how do I get rid of it. I used 2 already.. does anyone know the email to contact mowei to register the warranty
does fingerprint scanner work well? what do you recommend to make fingerprint scanner work even better?
I would recommend amfilm or Whitestone, those are my favorites.
I used this product myself on the pixel 6 pro and the s22 ultra. Fantastic product! Nice review
How did it do with the S pen?
Wasted all 3 screens and had bubbles on each try...whats the tip? I watched all the videos. This is so anxiety inducing Jesus!
Level surface, Dunst free environment and make sure the two bubbles touch ever so slightly in the middle. Then just follow the process. If you need a dust free environment try a bathroom. That's what I use.
I hate the fingerprint sensor. I removed it from phone case with it built in screen protector
Great Review, so helpfull👍👍👍
been using this with my defender otterbox case and every time i drop my phone the tempered glass pops out little by little
The circle is peel off.
I almost got this screen protector but still got white stone dome instead
Have you installed your Dome protector yet? I tried twice, and even put a stack of quarters over the fingerprint scanner area while curing the adhesive, and the fingerprint scanner still does not work well.
What if you get bubbles...
If you make sure there are no bubbles in the liquid before you put the screen down you shouldn’t get any. I’ve never had bubbles with any of the liquid screen protectors I’ve ever used.
My phone screen is ruined¡! I had a horrible experience with a s20+. The curves are slightly off on the glass leaving both sides with gaps. Tried it twice with the same result. My screen now has a glare on it! HOW DO YOU GET THIS GLUE OFF!!!!!!!!!! Rubbing Alcohol don't work
Someone recommended white vinegar in the comments of another video.
How do you remove it? Its glued on lol
Just run your fingernail or a plastic pic around the edges, it will release fairly easy.
Good luck removing that thing after it shatters.... I will stick with hydrogel....
Can you recommend a hydrogel that you like?
The link actually goes to a s23 ultra screen protector
Great video, thanks for the help.
Definitely do not recommend these, always seem to bubble at the corners a day after putting on
