I have the same screen protector and don't have that ring that is in your video. The video included is actually shorter then a version of the same video that I've seen in the past for my S21U. That instructional video is a lot better.
Also you skipped a few steps like wiping down the phone before curing the sides. You want to get rid of any excessive glue before you really cure it fully.
My FPS works flawlessly as well as if it it didn't have a screen protector on it. Also you might want to push your tilt the point towards the top so that the glass will reach as far as possible to the top so that there is enough clearance for the glass to fully cover the actual viewing screen. The bottom has more bezel area then the top so it's more forgiving but you need to make sure the top is as high as possible. It should be even top and bottom if you did it right.

I watched this video and bought the screen saver. Just follow the video and the application is flawless. Put three quarters on the weight. Finger print scanner has no issues and didn't have to re recognize them or up sensitivity. The excess cleaned up very well. Can't even tell I have a glass protector on it. Its smooth to touch. Fantastic product. Works with my renke hybrid case. Doesn't pull up corners. Just make sure the screen protector stays centered top to bottom. It moves with the glue order it till it cures with blue light.

I learned my lesson.. Use a case and a screen protector, phones are too expensive to be breaking or scratching them. Also, it helps to have them in good condition so when you want to trade in your phone you get a higher value for it.

I recommend not use the metal weight with the light for no more than 10 seconds or else you'll see a small dent in that area of the phone. It happen to me while installing it.. But the screen still looks great, no scratches on my phone yet.

I followed the video. Everything worked great. Finger print is slower but still works. I was so pleased that I was able to deploy without bubbles. After about two hours a small bubble appeared in the middle of the screen. I don't want to pull up the cover so I guess I will live with it until it is time to replace the screen cover in 6 months or so. This video is a great tutorial for installation.

Great video! I have the same product. One piece of advice: If the fingerprint sensor doesn't recognize your print after installation, before adding more weight and curing again, try recalibrating your print. For lack of a more technical explanation... Because of the new/extra layer, your print is read as slightly different from the original calibration.

So you mean once I put the liquid on and lower the screen protector on the screen I have to recalibrate the fingerprint before curing the first time? Or do you mean to cure it without the weight then register the new print then finish the curing process.

I had a huge bubble the size of a big peanut smack in the middle right where i dripped the glue. And two bubbles on the sides. I was like OMG. I pushed the big bubble out pressing it up and out from the top using the dry soft cloth. And did the same with the other two bubbles. I cured it and scraped off all the glue that was pressed out on the top if the phone. Looks great! Perfect install. I was thinking I wasted a screen. Shew! Fingerprint and S Pen work perfectly!

I use the supcase unicorn beetle pro cases for my note20 ultra. And every time I switched out, my case for a different color one, the screen protector would lift. So now I use the Amfilm elastic skin screen protector. It works flawlessly with all my cases; it doesn't feel rubbery. I've had it on for 6 months now and still look like I just put it on. The screen protector tabs that you pull to release the film don't work, I used all of my protectors trying to get 1 to pull off, just the sticky tabs came off so I had to scrape a corner off with my fingernail to get a corner up to pull the backing off. PLUS..." Do Not Get This Adhesive On Your Skin!" I must have gotten some of the adhesive on my fingers and I scratched my forehead, half hour later it still feels like it's on fire.... I can't even imagine what would happen if it was on your finger and you rubbed your eyes. The glue can't be squeezed out of the bottle, the bottle is to thick so it sort of dribbles out even with top cap off so it's takes a minute for all the adhesive to come out, meanwhile, dust is getting on the screen.

I have the same screen protector. Mine doesn't have a ring like that at all. I'm not sure what he did to cause they deep of a ring as the video was edited I believe cause he talked later on about putting more weight on that area which is not needed. I think he put too much weight or so and that's why that area is like that.
I would say the less glue you have in-between the bigger it will come out and the FPS will be more effective as well. Mine works just great like as if it was stock. He did skip a few steps though cause I would recommend deleting all of your old fingerprints and rescanning them again.

ok so can you redo this install without using the weight.? I know it may possibly effect the sensor reading but I do not like that stupid circle peranently there. if one can install it without the weight does it still work?

I did that on realme GT but without UV tempered glass, and the fingerprint is perfect, so I suppose it will work just fine on s22 ultra because UV tempered glass is even thinner, lol and have more contact with the screen itself

@@terryeverly5617 I took the first Whitestone off and redid the job using the spare they provide in the kit. Stole an idea here from Mowie and put a weight in the fingerprint area
while curing. This caused noticeably more glue to run out from the glass. Finished it up and now the sensor works much better. My conclusion is that
Whitestone uses just a bit too much glue, and their plastic "weight" bar is not as effective as it should be. Why some Whitestones work and other don't is most
likely related to exactly how much glue is in each tube.

The foam thingys kinda work but... take the guide strips and cover the bottom holes. Cut a tiny piece off of one and cover the tiny top hole. Just to ensure that nothing gets In The speakers. Also good tip, take your s-pen out when coving the holes for a smoother seam.

I just installed mine today and I didn't leave the weight on as long as he did and I managed not to get a ring on my protector. I don't know how I did it, but I definitely had to redo my finger prints. So I probably had too much glue around the finger print area, because I had to clean it off after getting rid of the bubbles. So that's probably why I didn't have a ring.

With S23U this is the way to go. Others, with adhesive preapplied are quite crappy, so I am back to this. I say it is only worth the prise because competition is lackluster and the end result, when you are lucky is very nice.
First one I did worked out great. No defects.
Next 3 were failures and my phone is naked for the time being.
They need to figure out better repeatability. There really is no way to get rid of bubbles once they form - you will either drain the glue from the top and sides or messing long enough in good lighting the glue dries and gets sticky, by that point it has failed.
Anyone owning a high end phone should have better things to do with their time to repeatedly waste it on applying screen protector for an hour and failing.
Bottom line: this screen protector as a whole is not a great product. It is the best only because competition is lackluster. And possibly because S23U screen is curved for no other reason than vanity and pain in the ass for screen protection.
