I've been listening to Sue lately. She's not only soulful, she is so tasty. One of the reasons I've always liked Clapton, BB and so many others is, that stay with the melody and feel of the music. I've heard enough shredding to last me a lifetime. Yes ... I know shredding is difficult, but, it has been overdone for years. Sue is refreshing and so listenable. She is bringing back the real flavor of the Blues. Great post.

Love the way she merges elements of country, folk, Mississippi Delta, Chicago and Texas blues "back to that place... Memphis, Tennessee." And, on a nylon string classical guitar! Crafty fingerstyle blues guitar.

That’s some good guitar work. Mixing moving and monotonic bass lines . I don’t go round complimenting thumbs to often but right on. Also keeping the energy going with no live audience early in the morning on an acoustic. Not many electric guitar players could have pulled that one off so well.
