Love the welsh pronunciation. The welsh language is not the easiest language to learn and that's from a Welsh man. You chose a good time to visit Wales. The winters can be hash here especially at higher elevations. The sheep in the stream shows signs of natural predation. Big cats will usually take down their pray from the neck and then eat the soft tissue and internal organs first. Unfortunately many sheep are lost to natural causes in the highlands and mountainous areas of Wales. I love the old DPM gear and it's probably the best camouflage for most of the woodlands and moreland areas of the U.K.. I love the drystone wall. Back when labour was cheap and they used the materials that were available locally the craftsman would produce some fantastic and ingenious structures. Great work. I love your philosophy regarding conquering your fears. Good to see some sights from this beautiful part of our country. Keep up the good work. Pen er van by the way. 😁
Thanks for your message. You have a beautiful country over there and I do visit as much as I can. You got it spot on in this comment. The DPM is definitely my favourite one and gortex is a must in conditions like that. I'm getting better with the lingo, I had the pleasure of meeting a rugby team in a pub called the oxe in a village last month. Good bunch of lads and best 8 pints I've had for a while 👍🏻
Just started watching your videos. It is very cool to see the UK landscape. Our local mountain here in the US is over 14,000 feet (over 4000 meters)! We camp on it's foothills. Also love the game camera videos of the hares. Had no idea they were that big! Your mountains are small compared to ours, your hares are huge! lol
Thanks very much for watching. The US is beautiful blessed with so much country. I've been over the once to visit and plan to return, my grandparents was Irish and half there family moved over to the US back in the day. They was in the ranches breeding race horse's even up until now. Lovely country you have ⛰️
Yes mate was a bit of a different one for me staying in a luxury camper. I'm out next week again in the woods got some new gear and catapult give away finally happening. Thanks for watching mate as always 👍🏻 👌🏻 🌳
That sounds ace! Yeah, Wales is lovely but so are many parts of England and Scotland. We live in a beautiful country. I think we're so lucky in north Wales. We have mountains, forrests, lakes, rivers and beautiful coastal areas but like I said, so have other parts of our country. I think that it's still possible that a breeding population is viable due to our vast rural areas and the millions of farmed animals never mind rabbits etc. that large predictors could prey on. Only around 7% of the UK is built up areas so there are large tracts of land that could support such preditors.
Definitely a great place to go such a cracking area just challenging enough but so worth the climb shame it was a bit foggy but still looked like a bit of cloud cleared for some good views. 👍
Oh man, that's bad. Was it's legs broken or his neck? Poor sheep. It's could be what was messing with you the other night when you were out by yourself, and it could have been a Bigfoot. I like your channel. I'm now a subscriber. Thank you for sharing your awesome adventures.
I bet the old bloke knew what it was, but a lot of people don't want to say anything because they don't want to be ridiculed or thought of as crazy. So that's probably why he said what he did. Thanks for the awesome videos. KEEP ADVENTURING
Great video man, not long found your channel and I'm with you on the big cats, Im always up the beacons and black mountains as I live by them, there's definitely signs of them about and they've been spotted around over the years, I've been on the lookout for evidence of them on my videos, fingers crossed we will find some concrete evidence to prove to people that there definitely about. Keep up the good work bro 👌✌️
@@welcome2thewoodsuk thanks man, yeh it's a beautiful place, can get lost for days in the woods where I go, definitely cat territory and plenty of food about for them, I've found some interesting kills and seen some strange things in them woods, I'm pretty adamant there lurking around, just need to find that paw print or catch one on the game cam, maybe one day aye 🤞 look forward to your future videos bro✌️.
Interesting, have you considered taking any samples of scat, prints, kills etc? Just some sterile sample tubes and send for DNA analysis, there are a lot of labs that can test them and nowadays its cheap in fact some universities will gladly do this out of research.

From Pittsburgh Pennsylvania USA 👍💯
What a beautiful place! I never knew just how picturesque Wales could be. But you’re right though, if there are big cats, that place would be perfect

more 'Pen uh van' than penny fan and the name only refers to the summit with Pen meaning head or top
