the korean girl being literally eating 8 different dishes per meal is a whole asian mood
and not getting fat? yup

NoShitSherlock they don’t have to get fat cuz most of their dishes are healthy ;-;
*ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ*
Soul food, more like Seoul food am i right?
I love how she's eating so good and then dustin meals are all chaotic
Because she lives with her parents and that guy doesn't .
@1 q lol what? we have farmers markets in the U.S. where you can get fresh local produce...my mom goes to the market every saturday
@@fizzasyed4839 Dustin lives with his parents
laura I mean you can see his mom doesn’t go to the market for him. He makes his own meals and buys groceries himself. He might not be able to go to the market
5sy7842p 4 this is so true on both points. living abroad, the only time i'd eat at home was because i was too lazy to go out. and if you go to any farmer's markets in NorCal expect to pay a premium. Makes me wonder if we're paying for ionized alkaline veggies to go with the ionized alkaline water.
Biggest difference is that in the Korean family, the parents cook the majority of the food. In the US the parents don’t cook as often so the kids live off junk food...
yeah I don't live in Asia but I'm Asian i make my breakfast (which is usually eggs and avocado toast) and my parents make lunch and dinner
To your point, I was so confused that Dustin’s parents never seemed to cook for him (or like, the family in general) since he’s only 17....
And not in a way that I’m judging the parents, moreso I just feel bad he’s gotta fend for himself and want other commenters to understand he’s quite young.
Lmao I live in America and my Mexican mom cooks me all my meals
My Mexican self can relate to the Korean family since my mom always cooks a variety of food everyday
Everyone is complaining about Dustin's diet being so sad, but let's not forget he had finals going on. Normally, I love to cook and eat a lot of salads and just generally experiment with different recipes. But boy oh boy, during finals my diet pretty much consists of cheese sandwiches and chocolate
true this people are inconsiderate and toxic. i feel him and u right now. literally has no time to prepare my food bcuz of school work, exams, etc. timing is keeeey.
He said it's a vacation
Its called the adult life.
You think he's busy? Finals? Lol b***ch please.
So when i have a deadline for work its alright to neglect my health?
There are moms out there with a job and 5 children, you think they feed their children and family bagels eveyday? Cuz she aint got the time.
Yall a bunch of children.
@@shalmali-379 well I live on my own so I end up sort of not prioritising my diet. You get lazy
Most of the time, kids tend to not be able to eat as well, especially during big exam weeks, when stressors are high; we tend to eat things that may not be the best for us, and we don't even notice how it's like mindless sometimes.
Darcie: I am going out! Lets see friends!

he had a breakfast sandwich on monday
But he just said, “I dont eat bagel everyday but you could see me always eating it” mind set please no hate for him
Dustin was doing this during finals week 💀 he was probably stressed & had to study a lot so that’s why he resorted to unhealthy meals. Not everyone has time to cook everyday.
Just out of curiosity does he stay alone?

Imagine eating real meals and not surviving on protein bars, instant ramen, and black coffee
Impossible.
Couldn’t be me
No way
Please don't tell me your Asian PLEASEE
SKY BYE ...why not?
Is no one going to point out the fact that she had almost every meal prepared or taken care of by her parents but the guy doesn’t seem to have any parents?!?
For many Americans our parents don't take care of us and always cook for us at this age. I am a freshman right now and my parent is already getting me to make my own dinner. I imagine in a couple years when I am a senior like him and am able to drive I will make all my meals myself.
Well.. that's a common life for korean. We actually make side dishes a lot and keep it in refr and eat those for few weeks which makes more efficient meal. Therefore, mom only cook 1 or 2 main dish for each day and take our side dishes from refr. Although people live alone in Korea usually order delievery or eat outside pretty many times since it's pretty much cheaper than US. Also, Korean parents usually brings side dishes for their children who live alone.

I don't see nothing wrong with Dustin Vuong is eating at least thats better than what that girl is eating.
Aren't talking about the fact that most of her food is cooked by her mom, and dustin has to cook it himself. Makes a lot of difference
Also Koreans are more about family.
Americans aren't always. His parents are probably working and he is taking finals

as an American, he’s a mood for eating bagels for breakfast almost everyday, but as an asian, she’s a mood for eating rice with so many side dishes everyday😂💗
Trump promised North Korea a denuclearization and peace treaty. But the United States didn't accept it.
Korean food has many side dishes. If you go to a Korean restaurant you would usually have around 10 side dishes, but all of them are pretty small, only a couple bites.
Mahiyat Alam ok but why is it a mood shes eating side dishes with rice like thats just normal in the asian culture lmao

When I went to Korea for a week, I literally ate and ate and ate but lost more weight than when I diet at my home country. Other than “bc in Korea you walk everywhere” (still is a big factor) what I observed makes them slim even when eating a lot is..
1. Almost everything is spicy or there are spicy sidedishes like kimchi (spicy ingredients fastens metabolism and helps burn calories)
2. They barely deep fry (they mostly have soups, grilled, steam and sauced meals)
3. Meals are balanced and fresh - as you can see the girl always have freshly cooked meals with vegetables rather than microwaveable leftover sweets and carbs
4. They don’t eat much sweets - I rarely saw anyone eat cakes and chocolates there. Instead, their snack/dessert choices are kimbab, ricecakes, soy bean based desserts, etc.
I've never been in Korea before but I'm watching so much vlogs like " a day in my life as a Korean student" so I know so much think about their daily lifes. So, u are totally right.
사랑 me too when I went to Japan I also thought I was gonna gain weight but I didn’t instead I lost 2 kg hahahahaha maybe because food there is really healthy and I walk a LOT my mom literally force me to go shopping with her when I just want to sit and have some sushi 🙂
Number two not really
Mukbangers in Korea ( some ) eats fried chicken oily noodles some rice cakes
No hate tho
This is just what I see :)
ConeCake Yes but koreans eat soups, steamed, sauced or grilled meals more often that deep fried based on what I experienced when I went to Korea. In the case of mukbangers they mostly eat those junk to make videos more interesting + notice how it would always be spicy flavor or eaten with something spicy because it will make up for the oils
and bingsu (ice shaves with fruit or other)
People in comments: she eats 8 dishes?

Really and truly most students in America skip breakfast and often lunch if we can’t eat at home or somewhere outside of school. Eating is just not something that we do as often, and eating alone is very common as well! I personally eat alone for every meal.
@nobita nobi He did mention it's finals week so he must be pretty busy and doesn't have as much time to cook. I doubt that's how he eats normally, he'd pass out from malnutrition or suffer from it at least a little.

Our family creates a glass container amount of side dishes. Most of our meals are rice and side dishes so we don't run out too fast unless we feast only on that one dish. Every now and again we bring in the occasional western meal. But rice is an ever-present food in our house.

@@user-vndksu73h I could've sworn Chinese also had the "did you eat" as "how are you" thing.
So what...? 🤷🏻
@@user-vndksu73h Nothing, I was just curious ^^
Us: leftover, processs, take away
Asian in general: full on 6 course meal, with an abundance of delicious treat inbetween
phong nguyen tru that i’m asian and everyday no matter what meal there is like 5 dishes
Asians have leftovers from previous night
We use the fridge
We are not hobos we have refrigerators with leftovers lmao
phong nguyen I mean there’s like 5 dishes to pick from (family style), but my family it’s leftovers quite often because of the amount of food leftover
Well the food isn't that good. I would never eat nlood soop or living squids.

it was really unfortunate that dustin’s screen time was so short and his full personality wasn’t shown; he’s so amazing and doesn’t deserve people criticizing him. much love dustin
so true!! He's such a chill guy to watch xx
@@yeonbeom but kinda sad compared to the korean lady
Does he have a yt channel?
Dustin seems very self-sufficient which is very admirable and wise for his age.
Fesjeklngs Csalkjv yes! It’s “Dustin Vuong”
She’s eating really savoury and homestyle food and he just lives of breakfast and coffe
He lives alone, I'd do the same if I was in his place.
Dustin: hope this doesn’t get to wild
Also Dustin: only eats bagels
And pasta lololol
'not gonna eat breakfast because i woke up late' damnnn my spirit animal
i know all of you think that Dustin lives alone because of his simple food, well fyi, 1) he lives with his parents 2) his family owns a restaurant. so yeah
His parents must be busy that's why he cooks for himself
that makes things actually worse
@@rawrwild3770 Im pretty sure he was also stressed cause of finals so he has no time to make a healthy meal everyday
so, u made that look way worse. but actually, as u can see in the video he was independent -prepared his meal and all AND this was filmed during his finals. y'all dont realize that? ppl 🤦
No he said it’s holiday idiots
The girl's mom cooks for her and in Korea there are so many food carts on your walk back to your apartment while the guy had to prepare most of his meals on his own 😥
Its normal in America for u to cook for yourself instead of ur parents
Since I was 12 I started to cook for my mum cause she just has no skill in it and the problem is that she is from turkey were parents usually cook like gods. Everyone my aunts my grandma really everyone can cook except of my mum. 😂😂
@@billclinton6871 really? Even live with parents??
I started cooking for myself when I was 9 and then around 11 yrs I started cooking breakfast for my parents
Butnhe doesn’t live alone
떡볶이, 순대, 떡, 짜장면 등등 고유이름이 있는데ㅠㅠ 뭐 알아듣기는 편하겠지만,,
오 한국어 잘하는데요.!!
Dustin is exactly like me, i don’t get to eat as much at home and mostly have to find things for myself as a 15 year old because my moms never home and theirs no snacks in my house😭 of course I’m concerned about how many calories I consume but what am I supposed to do about it 🧍🏽♀️
Talk to a grown up you have close ( even a grandma especially) and have them teach you some easy healthy meals to make at home
Cook! I used to be pretty useless and lazy for cooking, but I’ve learned thanks to RUclips and food blogs. My mom is a very good cook, but the meals that she makes are often time consuming, so instead of emulating those, I’ve learned to make recipes from other countries that are nutritious and fast to make. Because you’ll only be cooking for yourself, you won’t have to spend on a lot of ingredients (for example, you can make an omelette with zucchini and only use half of the z., then save the rest for a different meal). Good luck!
