I recently added a different light fixture in my studio that is fabulous and very affordable ! It is a LED fixture purchased from COSTCO warehouse ( 2 fixtures for 39.95). Hubby put them in the garage and I immediately wanted them for my room! We had to remove the original fixture and redo the wiring for the new LED unit, but it took only minutes and I’m a happy sewing enthusiast. I’ll send you a photo in messenger!
@@maryirwinartdesign8235 the original fixture is removed and a socket type installed to replace original and then wired into the new sockets! Not pretty but very happy with it
What a fabulous space for both of you to make your magic happen. Thats a tremendous amount of weight you have there, is the floor reinforced being on a 2nd floor? Thanks for the tour

Did you get your Seiko Cylinder from Chicago as well. I didn’t notice if Hoffman Brothers ship. I’m just SE of Seattle so I imagine shipping would be the same for me as you? Do you recommend?
Highly recommend them. Tell Ron that I sent you. You could try Renton Sewing if you’re open to other brands as well. They carry some clone machines and Juki. They know their stuff too.
Hi Garth, I am also in the market for a high post machine… could you share the info of the company you bought it from?.. the other option is a Juki PLC 1691. What’s your take on it? I know you ain’t such a Juki fan …. But service and parts is a issue here in Germany at times and Seiko/ con sew is not such a known brand here.. thanks in advance for your help..I just ordered my zipper jig ..looking forward to its arrival 🤩
I’m a fan of all of the machines that are built in Japan. Matter of fact, we own a Juki 1508. 😎 Our Seiko came out of Chicago from the Hoffman Brothers. We looked at a Juki equivalent of our high post, but the price killed it for us. $15,000.00 US! Juki is super proud of those machines. 😳
What a GREAT set up! So happy for you. Worth all the effort I'm sure to get it all up a flight of stairs. Q-Those lights over your work stations in the center that face each other....Are the super even lighting and bright? These old eyes need some 😉. Do you have a namebrand/source? Thx!
That is actually a small chandelier the builder installed. It’s not that bright and we’re looking for other solutions. I’ll let you know if we find something clever. 👍
Another great video 😀 thank you for sharing your space and knowledge
I just found your site. Wow! you have some nice equipment, I'm jealous. I like your shop layout. Good lick with it!
Congrats on your new space. Looks great! We really enjoy your channel and the education/inspiration it provides. Thank you.

I second the recommendation. I added these over my workbench and it's been amazing.

@@MythLeatherCo Oh okay - I thought they looked like they were attached to your desks. :-)
@@maryirwinartdesign8235 ohhh... the clamp on fixtures?! Ya, those are from Amazon. I’ll post a link in a second. 👍
@@MythLeatherCo Amazon has some great stuff and saw a killer 36inch slim led arm light. It was a mere $215... I'm sure it was wired in gold 🤣
