Hi team. I had a battery mower donated to me in 1982 it was a heavy machine with a hgv battery. It was difficult on small lawns beautiful cut BUY two problems there was speed control it was fast or stop. The only other thing was the roller had no tread so it would spin on start off.
These mowers do the most beautiful job and are probably the best in the world. Very expensive but if you want the best results you have to pay for it. Great video too
Xtreme Performance ya but toro is some ass and fall apart in a second so I don't want to hear it. Go talk about how toro is trash somewhere else because no one likes them
you prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Louie River I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
For serious aeration, I use a commercial core aerator. Got a rental sell-off for $1000 a few years ago. Never regretted that deal. Also a lot of commercial-grade tools such as Stihl or Echo will supply their own dethatching attachments and other add-ons, but the Allett lawn sweeper with a catcher is unique, it isn't something that's off the shelf with those brands. I'm definitely looking at the lawn sweeper add-on for the Allett. Also the Allett 17in reel cut is ideal for smaller areas, and I don't think it will increase cutting times on a property by much more than 25% overall. For serious good cuts, you're not going to beat a reel mower.
Thanks for a great video . I have an Australian 17” rover classic 5 blade( Allett classic ) . I have the scarifier attachment and I’m told that’s all that is available. Can I fit the 17” Kensington attachments? If not can they be modified to fit?. I would love to fit the 10 blade and the aerator attachments
Allett Mowers . Good news! Will I have the 5 increments that are on the classic ? S,1,2,3,4 ? . If it will work ok I will order those 2 to start with tomorrow
The scarifier is a spring rake cartridge which is much more gentle than the dethatcher / you can use this all year round once or twice a month to help keep on top of thatch - you can also use it to pick up leaves / pine cones etc. The dethatcher is much more aggressive and you would only use this on lawns that were in serious disarray with thatch - or if you’re only choosing to scarify once or twice a year ( which we don’t recommend) - we recommend doing it monthly with the spring rake otherwise you’re building up thatch all summer when your lawn needs it the most. The verticut cartridge helps cut lateral grasses lying flat in your lawn that the cylinder would miss. It also helps thicken your lawn up by cutting stolons and rhizomes and promoting new growth
First off - this is a beautiful mower, that cuts excellent. I own one. However this video is quite a bit of false advertising. The side panel has been altered for this mower, and a hole has been cut out in the left side panel (see for example 1:40), so that the cog can slip by without removing the panel (four screws). This is really quite surprising as the video is not supplied by a user, but by the very manufacturer. Then the cartridge is fastened by two bolts, which is not seen in the video. This is no more than a 3 minute adjustment, but it's definitely not as easy as in the vid. I wonder what would happen legaly if someone for example broke their machine by cutting without the bolts fastened, as insinuated in here. And is the warranty still valid if I cut the panel up?
+Lane King Well Lane. If you check out videos or their homepage www.allett.co.uk you cannot find any such thing. And the Kensington is only a couple of years old ..
I don't know what video you are watching, or if you actually have one of these machines. I do, and I can insure you that they have not cut a whole in the side for easy release. In the scenes where he is interchanging the cartridges, the side panel has been removed and it reveals the slide hole that lets you remove the cartridge. In the scenes in which they are cutting the lawn, the side panel is back on. A company of such standard, would not deface a beautiful machine like that.
+WDJS22 I don't know if you are watching the video I am commenting, but something else would be seriously stupid. I own one, as I stated above. What you think about that statement is not irrelevant to me. However if you had been a little more careful and actually looked at the video you would see that I am right, no matter if I own one or not. Look at 1:40, freeze picture, make a screendump and enlarge it. The cut is obvious. The side panel is mounted, and if it wasn't - you would see through to the other side. There would be grass seen in the opening yes? Not the inside plate of the side panel.
+delapaco Please pause the video at 1:38, if you look at the opening, follow the groove that allows the bolt that holds the cog on the Cartridge down, you will see at the bottom, that you can see the grass on the other side. This is because there is a piece metal that curves around the side where the side panel come off from.
+delapaco in fact if you even look after he puts the 10 blade cartridge in, and it zooms in, you can see the bolt holes that see the side attaches into
hi ive just recieved all the cartriges for the new season but would like to know what the depth of cut is using the airator ,verticutter and the dethatcher also would you set the machine to lowest setting using them i basically wish to try remove most of the old lawn before topdressing and reseeding
Do you produce a comprehensive guide at all for novices? Of how, when, which order, what height, what season etc. to use your excellent cartridge range please?
ok my question; does your lawn have to be perfectly level for this mower to work. my lawn is 100% tiff green Bermuda grass it was established before I bought this house the lawn is beautiful. I bought a new McLain 10 reel mower last year and even on the highest setting the mower eats up the grass making it look horrible. I want my lawn to be super green an almost astroturf looking like my neighbors who hire lawn/greens keepers to cut their lawn 2 to 3 times a week. I'm willing to put in the effort but do I need to get my lawn leveled next spring to make my MacLaine or this mower to work properly?
Well apart from one having 5 blades and one having 10 blades, the 10 blade cassette gives you a better finish on your lawn. I have a 6 blade cassette (fitted to my Atco Balmoral machine) and a 10 blade cassette. My 6 blade cassette can cut longer grass than the 10 blade cassette, but the 10 blade cassette gives me a better finish to my lawn.
how about some attachable wheels to cross ways without damaging the rear roller. An if we be on the "missing parts list" how to add a groomer to the 10 blade cutting unit. And a rear roller brush? oh... I got it! You're not Toro... There I can sit on the mower and I don't have to walk behind it. And surprise: Theyre mowers got wheels :D

thanks for such a complete and satisfying video to watch (and yeah, we don't need any extra or any words at all)
Very nice set up and for lawn mower engine quality you can't beat Kawasaki.
I wish I could use this on st Augustine. It looks cool. I would need an aerator attachment.

I am confused. What is the true difference between dethatch, scarify, and verticut?

So Simple It has to do with how many cuts you perform per meter. Obviously the 10 casette doubles this number.
