Thanks man! The 260 is one of my favorites and definitely a striping beast! I'd like to try the battery Stirling but price tag on them is even crazier lol
Thanks man, I've been using both. This one is 10x easy to maneuver so I'll usually grab this one for a quick lunch break mow or something. Flex has better cut quality in my opinion. Also not sure how well it's going to hold up. Has plastic gears. Time will tell I suppose. I only have 8 hours on it so far lol.
I enjoyed mine while it worked. Parts are a pain, there is no service anywhere near my area. Also, construction and parts seem very consumer/cheap always had issues with my belts and drive system until it broke for good. Looking for a toro now.
I've been looking hard at allett Sterling but that price 😮. . I got a few ego equipment in my garage. I wish ego would make a reel mower. I Also heard some allett reels have plastic gears that wear prematurely,?
Yeah I hear ya about price. I'm seeing some used ones finally hit the market but still not cheap. Mine does have plastic gears I was concerned about but no issues yet. I'll have to do a follow up video to see how well it holds up after many hours.
You were right about me not needing another mower. I scarified today and the quality of cut from my Stirling 51 improved dramatically. I also got the big 12AH battery which adds more weight than the standard EGO 5AH batteries. Still might look into a JD 180SL. 😅 Mowing Tifway 419, Texas Gulf Coast.
Thanks Sunny! It's extremely lightweight even lighter than my rotary mower. I have been leaving the cover off recently but I'll prob put it back on. I do blow everything off with my air compressor after using 🙌
@LawnmowerMaster the one thing I hate about allett is the parts and pricing. You have to go through allett and they don't post any prices, you have to ask about every part which annoys me to no end. As for the RR 26, it's pretty much a rebranded mower but we shall see how they hold up with time. I usually don't buy first gen anything but would like to get my hands on one. 🙌
@@BermudaBoss I ended up buying the Kensington 20 with a Honda motor and a scarifier for my Tiffway 419. Any suggestions or tips before mowing with it for the first time?
@@BermudaBoss I noticed a loud cranky noise on this brand new mower one day. It sounded like it was trying to turn the drum but without success. Turns out that it was my fault. I failed to put those two screws back on because I was being lazy...
I can't keep up with The Boss. He stopped riding the deer, and the Toro is collecting dust in the garage. I'm more than ready to take another Toro off your hands. Lol
They jacked the prices up so high in 2024 that it is now well beyond my means. ($6,139... JUST for the mower. This is for the Stirling. No battery and no cartridges. Insane).
Great lawn man!👍Thanks for sharing this video.😊🌳
Appreciate it 🙏 💯
Great content as always. My neighbor has a battery powered Allett and he loves it.
BTW the 260 is laying some sweet stripes on my lawn.

Great review. I think you touched on all the pros and cons. I have to send my head to a guy in GA to get a grind. Good thing I’m in GA a lot.
Thanks papa I kinda just do these videos on a whim 😆
That yard though! 😍
Haha thanks D, it's been a struggle this season so far but getting much better now 🙌
Nice video! How does this mower work in conjunction with your flex?

@@BermudaBoss Looking forward to the long term review my friend, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
For sure brother, let's see what this thing is really like 👍 💯

Dang man! Did you have a kensington? They seems pretty simple to work on but I haven't had mine very long. I have a toro as well.

Nice! You can never have too many mowers 🤣🙏🙌
☀️Almost makes me miss my lightweight Kensington. Great overview and glad to see you enjoying it! 👍 You leave that side cover off all the time? 😂

I do like the cartridge system. Ordering parts would be a pain. Great review and discussion.
Thanks! I'm interested to see how well she holds up 🙌
What engine speed do you run your Allett?
Usually 75-100%
@@BermudaBoss Thanks! Deciding over this mower or the Reel Rollers Revolution 26.

Awesome! Make sure there is nothing in your lawn that would damage your reel. Enjoy 🙌
Sir, please put the cover back on. I have a Kensington too. If you don't put the covers on, the grass clippings will clog up the cover
Will do 👍

I saw that! Prices were already high but now just crazy 🤪
