I am so glad I watched this to really see how easy it seems to make this bag. When I saw you post this I thought well, that's out of my league! LOL.....I'm definitely going to give this a try! Plus you are an excellent teacher! Thank you so much Nichol for all the work you do. You really are the best!🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you Nichol. I have some pieced block of the month squares from a long time ago that I will now use on some project bags. i am always looking for ways to diminish the stash. I have made good use of most of the fabric I got from you in a box from the days when you sold your clean out stash boxes. Your directions are very clear and your video makes them even clearer. Much appreciated.
Nichol, Your Halloween bag turned out so, so cute! Just love it. I really appreciate how you put things in perspective [i.e. "it's just a project bag"] and you don't get hung up on things such as 'there is only 1 way to do things. When I learned to quilt I was taught that there was 'the way' to do each step and I have been a slow quilter ever since! I think it is time to adopt some of the 'Nichole techniques' to speed the process--I am not getting any younger!
In the middle of making a bag. Love the idea of using glue on the binding. The last bit I have to do yet. I’ve made a couple of mistakes. Frustrated with my machine mucking up. Learning as I go. Watching your clips over and over as I go.
You're bag is fantastic!! Thank you for all of the content you share on your channel. I quilt as well as cross stitch and appreciate you sharing both crafts!!
Love your videos Nichol! I love the idea of gluing the binding on the back of your project bag! I've always stitched my binding by hand. I'm going to do that for my quilts now too. I have 5 that need the binding on! 🫣🤣 I have arthritis in my hands really bad now! What a bummer right! So this video is perfect for me!! I'm a thread matcher to the color of binding. Cross hatch quilting my project bags has always been my favorite! I use that white chalk to draw my lines on. Thank you!! ❤
I just made this block today for the quilt along. Your front is pieced so why not piece the back as well. This turned out so pretty, I may have to make one myself, but I'm waiting for the stitch along to be over with before I start. I didn't like last years after they got passed BOO and stopped stitching on it. I need to pull it out and finish it. I added the broom and cat to the second "O". I took a binding class one year and there is some kind of tape that you can iron on, pull the top layer off and iron again.
Great tutorial!!! I haven’t stitched much lately as I have been sewing many project bag’s since your last bag tutorial. I purchased Tilda fabric and downloaded her free patterns to sew blocks for bags I plan to make a bag in every rainbow color. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to sew again I forget how much I love it
With respect to the binding, doesn't the glue gunk up your needle? LOVE the bag and I love that block! I am not a Halloween stitcher, but this isn't too bad for me and your project bag is so cute! I would LOVE to be able to stitch in the ditch without worrying about the back! I bet Kimberley just LOVES this project bag!
@@NicholSpohrLLC That totally makes it a game changer! Any glue? Aleene's? I was actually thinking of skipping the bags with binding because I just hate binding that much! This is just so brilliant! (Of course if I hadn't given up sewing and stitching to be a tax lawyer for 35 years I probably would have gotten good at binding! LOL)
*squee*!! I was so excited to see this bonus tutorial that I couldn't even finish the dishes first before I watched it! 😂 This turned out SO cute! I love that the block pattern is a free download, too. I have never heard of the glue trick, but now that I have, I'm like, Why didn't I think of that?! Great tutorial, Nichol. Love it!! (P.S. Cute ring!!)
This is so cute! I want to make one for my daughter who does crochet. Her projects do tend to be a little bulky though. I was wondering if there is a way to gusset this bag so it’s a little wider. Would I just put extra fabric on the sides and bottom and then box tthe corners Thank you so much for any help that you can give me. Take care ❤️
I have a question I made the bag which I love but I don’t know if I didn’t hear something right or what I sewed the front the soft foam and the lining together right and that all got guilted together then how does back get quilted I didn’t see you do the back or maybe I’m just missing it

Oooooo spooky music too!! Good choice!
Turned out super cute. Need to get a few of these started. 😅
That glue tip is great! Makes binding a little less scary! 🕸
Another wonderful video! Thank you Nichol I will definitely have to watch again, and again.
So darn cute. I love it and the fabrics used. Thanks for showing how to make these. Probably won't ever make one but love watching your creation.
This is so cute and you made it seem really easy for someone who is busting starting ❤
Wonderful video. Never tried the glue, it does great. Thanks for teaching us that method.
Fabulous tips! I’ve never heard the trick about using glue to baste down the binding. Thanks for all you share ❤
You are so welcome!

You’re so sweet sharing with us all of your secrets treats, the binding was the best tip, thanks in advance , loviu
I love this bag! I always learn something from watching your videos.
Another thing is to iron the front of the binding off the edge. Helps to make sure you are bringing the rest over and less fighting involved.
Super love this! I’m never going to get any work done watching all your great ideas 😂 🙃 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for the great project bag tutorial and idea!
Love this! Thank you

No. That's why you iron it to dry it before stitching. I would imagine if you try to sew while the glue is wet, it would be a horrible mess.
