I see they learned from all the criticism they got when she auditioned for Alvin Ailey. This time it is CLEARLY not a real audition and she provided some insight at the end. It makes a HUGE difference. Really. This one was much better.

She did a lot better than most of us could but, she's obviously not on the level of a Rockette . . . very few are!

She wasn’t terrible, though! Yeah, her hip flexibility isn’t the best and her technical background is obviously limited, but her musicality was actually pretty good, and that’s really one of the biggest parts of being a Rockette.

These woman have worked years for this and it so amazing. I’ve been in dance classes since I was 2 I did a year at a academy when I was in a freshman year in high school. (My teachers sucked and weren’t really good teachers and only liked the short girls who lacked basic knowledge of how to even keep their feet from sickling.) this year I started at a new studio and I really want to dance professionally with the royal Canadian ballet.

Same here. I'm only worried about my height, since I'm 13, 5'3ish, and you have to be at least 5'6(i think) to audition to be a rockette.

While I am all for a variety of size representation in dance or anywhere, these dancers have to train daily since childhood for years and have incredible stamina, skill, talent and technique. To reduce it to “just proportions” is unfair in the extreme.

Yuk. I hate videos like this. "Hi! I'm tagging along with a brain surgeon where she's going to let me take the scalpel." Dancers begin their journey long before doctors or lawyers. Most of them start taking class in elementary school. The very idea that some broad-beamed woman can throw on some gym clothes and attempt to perform with them is beyond condescending.

Bill Vegas I personally feel like these videos are a fun and less stressful way for one to get an insight into the dance world. Of course she isn’t going to be on the same level as the Rockettes but she sure as heck can try! Lol These videos aren’t meant to be taken so seriously 🤠 Dance is a fun and creative thing and although there are moments where a dancer should be serious, teaching a random woman a short routine isn’t it

If anything this is complimentary. I think striving to do new things and taking a look into what others work hard at is amazing, because then you learn what actually goes into it. It’s awesome that people want to learn how much work it takes and what they do everyday.
