very nice to see every year more and more diverse shades and hair types auditioning, now if more can make it onto the stage it would be wonderful to see!
I saw the show in 2015, and in 2019…..never fails to make me tear up. It’s not just a show, it’s a story about Christmas and it’s told in such a beautiful, entertaining, and iconic way 💕💕💕💕 even though it’s not even the holidays yet, I hope everyone does have a happy holiday season ❤️💚❤️💚
As a young child my family took me every year to see the rockettes at radio city !!! It was very special to me and my favorite part of the show wasn’t Santa but the chorus girls dancing and doing the famous line !!! I was thrilled to see this video as it brought back a lot of wonderful memories!!! Congratulations to all the girls who made the cut !!! Those who didn’t can hopefully make it next year!!!
Well. I know the world is tired of reading my comments about The Radio City Rockettes. No doubt. BUT TOO BAD! 🙂 These snippets are the only way in which I can see them. Always seem to miss The Parade. So I watch these. Love these ladies immeasurably. This institution is an American cultural icon. A national treasure. And these ladies -- in my estimation -- represent the epitome of hard work, athleticism, talent, beauty and feminism. And oh yeh ... smarts and a good memory system as well. Thanks for putting these up ... they are a joy to watch. And may the Lord bless and keep every one of them, in Jesus' name.
I grew up on Long Island in the 70’s and every girls dream was to become a Rockette. It wasn’t much past 7th grade that I knew I wouldn’t make the cut since I was too short!
I was a little disappointed by this! I wish they showed some of the actual things that got girls eliminated. Like we know it can be lack of facials or lack of consistency, but can we see that next to some people who move on to the next round? I want to see the “judges” talking about the rockettes who are helping facilitate the auditions and what makes them special, what they thought when they saw them dance, and how they’re different from some of the other girls auditioning. Etc.
They’re not going to give that away, and they shouldn’t. It’s competitive for a reason, either a dancer has it or they don’t. I was a dancer for years and I know i only had the height, 5’8”.
that would be like giving the teacher giving the answers to the test. Those that audition but don't make it learn from their experiences and if they choose to try again, improve on their performances.
@@emmib1388in my opinion it would be like the teacher explaining to students who didnt do well on why they didnt do well. How will they learn if they dont know what went wrong?
@@lolwhat2628 in the case of a job application, the potential employer does not guide you -- you need to take classes on your own to improve your skills and then try again. Sort of like getting a tutor.
I wonder how many of those 67 are the originals? The ones who made it the year before or been there for a few years? How many seasoned rockettes got cut? That would be interesting as it's not guaranteed.
At least with The rockettes this is what you go to see......I don't like many of the high profile cheerleaders complaining that they don't get paid enough. People don't go to the football to watch the cheerleaders. They go to watch the game. Nobody wants to see the cheer leaders......The only cheer leaders I appreciate watching are the ones who are in serious compettions like gymnasts and they are not connected to a football team.
I always know Christmas is on the horizon when this series drops every year
Yesss, I watched this series for the first time last year and I loved it
I love the fact this video is sponsored by an orthopedics office! All the feet, knee, back issues involved with dancing…great collaboration!😊
So true

Oh brother.
For someone who has no dance experience I am *invested* in these series

Coming with my daughter from Australia early December to see a show, can’t wait 🇦🇺👏👏👏
I love this and look forward to it every year, thank you thank you for continuing the series!

Absolutely loved the show! Saw it this month. Truly spectacular. The dancers are incredible! 😊🎄♥️🏴
It seems like a lovely/supportive culture.
LOVE THE FUN ROOM GIRLS ❤ I also love love love that this is still and open call
I agree, love watching them they are so graceful
Glad to see Mindy! I first saw heron an Allure or maybe another channel.
I love these ladies; so talented
Everyone is excited for PSL season in September….I’m excited because it’s officially Rockette audition season on RUclips ♥️
It never gets old watching you girls
So true!!!
Women please, not girls
wish they had shown the cuts and final picks
I would totally watch a full competition show of the rockette auditions that has the same approach to “competition” as Great British Beak Off

I would love to see them perform!
Yaasss Mindi is still there! I saw her allure video years ago
Omg! Masumi Iwai was in the audition group!
I love the Rockettes 😀My cousin was one in the 2000s and when I am old enough I really want to audition (if I'm tall enough lol :*) )
I love these behind the scenes videos!
This was wonderful! Thank you

We ❤ Mindy Moeller!
When is the next episode ?
every year i watch this wondering if one day i could be a rockett- im 5'0 and can't dance
i love Mindy the rockette
Do veterans have to audition each year?
Yes
What is the pay rate for the Rockettes?
Wonderful Video .
keeping my eyes out for the sullivan twins
Sullivan twins got in
the rockettes tap? no freaking way
Ummm…yeah, it’s always been like that. Or at least long enough that it shouldn’t be shocking at this point.
Ooh, are they still doing the 12 Days of Xmas and NYC in this year’s show?
Yes
I need to catch a show
How much do they get paid?
A lot. For the time period they’re performing!
@@ChronicallyCassidy whats a lot? Online it says 35,000. that's not much.
@@ChronicallyCassidyThey do not get paid a lot.
Show de mais ❤❤❤❤
i hope the dancers get paid during this multi-day audition
It’s an audition…a very temporary interview if you will, why would that be paid? Hint-they’re not.
LOL they don’t. And they shouldn’t. No one is forcing them to be there.
why would you get paid to audition for a job?
@@emmib1388 I see their point, this audition takes a lot of time and effort.

This is like the East Coast DCC! 😂
Wow!

Mindy!
Ok question, do you check the girls height before they learn their 1st dance number 👁️👁️🤔
😊

I wonder if/ when they will start to include boy Rockettes too?
probably never if i had to guess
@@Nic-zn3dd some men like to be feminine, but they will probably never allow men in the group. also they would be the rocks, not the rockets.
There are male dancers in the show.
@@Marieqinteresting you feel so strongly. how often do you go to radio city to watch them?
@@jilliansmaniotto2326 Every year.
All I know is that this past thanksgving, the 'DIVERSITY' in this completely BROKE the uniformity of these girls. So Sad
Agreed, Quality&Comformaty keeps show going from 1934 AD. Cancer cells are very diverse, but everyone trying to kill them as fast as possible
For auditions it seems distracting to wear colors or unique cloths. Wouldn’t it be better to have everyone dress the same
Absolutely not.
