You also really get it, none of this stuff is fantastic full stop, but for the insanely low price they work well enough and can get he job done for people that can't or don't want to spend much on gear. In the few months I've had this stuff none of it's failed and it all worked on arrival, I have criticisms of course, but my experience was good enough I spent £30 of my own money on a subsequent order that I'm also still happy with.

The video isn't sponsored, they provided a budget for items, which I fully disclose more than once in the video. There is no big secret going on, it's just a bunch of inexpensive things I found near or wanted to try out after Temu reached out. I'm confused what's in the video you wouldnt trust to be honest, I'm giving first impressions of things as I open them, there isn't really anything to trust to begin with.

Again, none of this was reviews, just first impressions. Of course the mini calipers aren't high quality, they're £0.39, did you factor that into your criticism? They do, however, work.
The zippers thing also seemed like a nothing problem when I opened the bag, and in the weeks of using the products since, it hasn't happened again once. I have, however, discovered that the strap is far too short for appropriate use, so it instead gets used more like a pouch than a bag.
This video isn't 'overly positive,' it's my actual first impressions based on items that cost an absurdly low amount. Those reactions are heavily tied to what they cost on the site, it's a huge part of the value proposition.
This honestly feels more like you have preconceived notions that you wanted reinforced and have instead chose to invalidate my opinion because I didn't do that for you. I've never had reactions like this to other content where companies provided review samples, I can only suspect it's happening now because Temu is heavily associated with cheap chinese products and all the baggage that brings to some people's minds.
Sponsored videos suck. This isnt the actual Temu experience. Dude doesn't tell you how Temu works. Why is Temu sponsoring such an unpopular low view/sub channel? Lets see the paperwork... i smell bs.
Let me clear this up, this is not a *sponsored* video, they provided a budget for me to use, I did not receive financial compensation. What they wanted in return was that the coupon code be prominently displayed, whatever items I choose between linked in the description box, the video stay public on the channel for at least 6 months, and to look at it before it went love to make sure promotion was correct.
As for WHY Temu would work with a smaller channel, frankly because it's very cheap for them to do so and still get visibility from it. Lots of brands do this, several brands have already been on the channel in this manner. They just give a product, or in this case a budget for products, in exchange for exposure. I always make sure to declare in the video when this happens.
Though, I'm a little confused why a first impressions video is so controversial.

No, receiving a product is not a sponsorship, I'm not nitpicking here, there are different kinds of brand interactions. I was not paid to produce the video, they did not have any input on content besides including a code. The video is overall positive because that's my genuine impression of the items I received in relation to their listed price.

I'm so confused how you can have such a strong opinion on a 40+ minute video when watching 15 seconds of it, but let me clear this up:
These kinds of deals are extremely common with basically all brands, the reason it's disclosed is so that the viewer can be aware of any potential bias. The reason you checked out 15 seconds in is because I clearly announced that they reached out to me.
As a reviewer it's important to me that I give as unbiased a review as possible, and I'm always very cautious when receiving free items to not let this affect my thoughts.
That said, it's basically a showcase and first impressions of neat items, I'm not providing an in-depth review, so I'm confused why you and others have chosen to be so skeptical when I'm not giving much of an opinion on the items to begin with?
