Absolutely not! I'm of Afro-Jamaican heritage, and have never heard of lime chicken (it sounds like some inauthentic white bs they have in shops in England made by a white person who says it's carribean, to sell to other white people who have never been to the islands but want to feel like they are well traveled). That shit was obviously not made by any Afro-Caribbean people or any other Black people from the diaspora for that matter. If you're desperate and ran out of vinegar or lemon, you might use a lime with water to wash the chicken (to help "cut the grease") before you wash off the lime thoroughly and then season and cook the chicken, but lime is not seasoning for chicken!
Lime is for rum punch, lime and sugar tea etc, not for chicken! How dare he call that bs Caribbean!

There seems to be a huge debate about this. I always wash all meat with water, vinegar, lemon/lime, and salt. I then dry them with paper towels and marinade them with whatever. And then I carefully clean my sink and counter afterwards. But many say that it's actually dangerous to do so.
