- Best V8 Hemi Exhaust options for the 5.7L 345, 6.4L 392 or Hellcat 6.2L. What are some of the best exhaust options for the V8 hemi? In this video we will listen to come of the best catback performance exhausts which include Borla Atak, Magnaflow (competition or XMod) & flowmaster - along with Mid-Muffler delete & straight piped exhaust setup. The borla and the xmod !!!
It's really a matter of what people like. Sadly, the videos don't do the sound justice, as the phone/GoPro mics bottom out too easy. Makes everything tinnie & flat. I personally like the sound of the xMod without the mufflers. I also like the sound of the Borla S-Type over the Atak. The Flowmaster Outlaw sounds pretty awesome, & is what I used to have on my Chally. Now I've got the AFE Power Mach Force XP muffler-less. The xMod wasn't available at the time I switched exhaust, or else I would've gotten it.

@@gregm3600 My exhaust? Like Kiss said: "I love it loud! I wanna hear it loud!" LOL! I'm pretty pleased with the Mach Force XP though. AFE Power does have different versions, with different pipe diameters & muffler configs. I'm running 3" pipes from Kooks long tubes & Green hi-flow cats. Also got Borla CF dual out tips that were made for the Trackhawk.

I installed a corsa sport cat back on my SRT 392 jeep, I wanted a deeper tone, I also get the pops and burbling. It worked out fine for me. 😎😎😎😎

I got a flowmaster outlaw catback with the active exhaust valve thing and chrome tips on my 21 r/t and I love it!
I have a Solo catback exhaust on my R/T & love it. Mellow driving, no drone but sounds good when stand on it. Out of these I think the Borla Atak sounds awesome. Love that Yellow SRT my favorite body style.
I was trying to find someone with the Solo catback in my videos but couldn't find anyone. Def a nice sounding exhaust option

I got a legit catback exhaust system for like 1/3 of the price here’s how I did it. I got rid of the mid mufflers and replaced the stock resonators with the borla s type resonators. It only cost about $500 for the exact same setup as a full on catback system.

I bet that 392 screams! Sounds so good with no mufflers or resonators - love the downshifts on the hwy with that kind of setup

Corsa. Burbles and pops on the downshifts. Unassuming at idle. No head left unturned under throttle. I’m running it on my 2015 5.7 HEMI Overland and it is hands down the best investment so far.
I’m a Mustang guy but I love the sound of a V8 !! There’s just something about the hollow sound of the Flowmaster 40 !! I really wish I could mid mount them on my 06 Mustang GT but there’s no room for that and they don’t sound as good as an axle back setup !! I have an off road H-pipe, I wonder how it would sound with Flowmaster Outlaws mid mounted ? I’m sure they’ll fit !!
I have a JBA Catback setup on my 2006 Dodge Magnum R/T. Love it! Very deep, aggressive growling.
U did not try the Flowmaster super 10 or the Flowmaster 44 sport.. but the last one sounds real good!! Another great video!! 🔥🔥

I have the Borla S-Type and that’s enough me and my neighbors. Both of the last two condos I’ve lived in weren’t too fond of my car. Still think it sounds great though.
LMFAO!!! I know the feeling my friend! I set off car alarms in parking garages just by driving by. I totally like the S-Type over the Atak, & almost got it until I heard the Flowmaster Outlaw.
Enjoying my dynomax race bullets for mids and resonator delete on my SRT8 300c 6.1L.
But the X-mod is my favorite!

The XMod system has the best overall sound too me. Start up to Idle to full throttle.
This channel is definitely definitely informative about what you can do to your 5.7
all the scatpack needs is the mid muffler delete. It almost dont need that. Its almost perfect from the factory. The best sounding stcok exhaust ive ever owned.
I went with catless midpipes from stainless works and "catback" from AFE no muffler/no resonators. AFE has an "H" style at the rear. Have a challenger 6.4l 6mt. Its different. Has a howl to it. The howl turns to bloody hell....Love it. Im on long island anyone else?
That sounds like what I have from AFE. I'm on other side of the country in AZ.

That's what I used to have. It was pretty awesome! Has a nice, low rumble at idle, but screams like a constant shotgun blast when you punch it!

I'm going to keep it cheap and simple and just do the mid muffler delete on my wife's RT it sounds great not to loud but not quite

Thank you for making this video. I'm in the process of deciding what I want on my scat pack. I know I'm doing long tubes with cated mid pipes and that borla atack sounded great imo. Probably going to go with that. I was leaning towards the magna flow but want louder than the first but not as loud as the x mod
Heartthrob. Hands down the best exhaust ive put on mine.ive had FIFTEEN different setups 😬 the exhaust cost a mere 386 bucks, 409 SS. my JBA system it replaced cost twice that and was aluminized.
304 or 409 stainless are the best options. 409 is better for cold, wet climates if I remember correctly. It tends to turn a bronze or gold-ish color in warmer climates. Aluminized pipes suck. They eventually start to rust, unless you get some kind of coating.
Flowmasters have alway's been my Favorite Flowmaster! from my old 72n73 camaros, 86 grand national, now with both of my audi B5 S4's !! I've tried so many others wasted lots of 🤑!!! But end coming back with Flowmasters..

I've got a Challenger RT with Long Tube Headers, Cats removed, No Muffler, and no resonator. LT Headers are fucking amazing for exhaust sound and for performance as well. Strongly recommend but you're spend a bit more to do it.
The ones that don’t sound as rattling, or like the exhaust isn’t shaking are perfect

For me doing an exhaust it's an absolute must. I have to say though the one I fell in love with that I plan on getting for a challenger is the borla atak system. Combining that with headers love love love it!

The V-band style clamps alone are totally worth it! Makes it hella easy to swap out the mufflers for the straight pipes & vice versa. Has it even been a year since Magnaflow released it?

I have a res delete. But prob going for the borla atak. I had it on my v6 mustang(traded it for my challenger) it was loud on that. So i can only imagine on my hemi

I wanted the Borla Atak but I feel like my stage 3 comp cam, catless longtubes 1-7/8 and muffler delete will be louder than the borla atak.
Im gonna say the xmod but im biased cuz i also have one on my 5.7. Borla atak would b my first pick if i didnt go magnaflow

Did any of those have a exhaust tip mod? I’m thinking a combo of both would exhaust system and tip would be most beneficial.
The flowmaster had stock tips but man it had a nice deep rumble. I believe many of the exhausts had upgraded tips to compliment the louder setup.

I have a 2021 rt plus. The exhaust sounds great especially with active open. My question is what would be the best way to make it as quiet as possible without being restricted? I plan to put an electronic cut out as close to the headers as possible so I can adjust from stealthy quiet to nascar loud and everything in between. Are there extremely quiet systems that aren’t too restrictive?

I had a 1987 Trans Am catless 2 chamber Flowmaster American Thunder kit. Now SRT8 Magnum I care about what it sounds like inside. Please advice about interior drone. Currently have MagnaFlow exhaust too quiet.
The magnaflow Xmod & competition both have a nice in cabin ride - little to no annoying drone. I drove in a borla atak challenger & that was great.

Magnaflow sound the best but that’s because of your 397 stroker, on a 5.7 it’s not gonna sound as good as in the video :/
Yeah, engine size makes a bit of difference. Having headers over the OEM exhaust manifolds will also change the sound dramatically!
Are the flow maters a cheap Chinese knockoff of flowmaster? Seems the general consensus is the borla atak is most people’s favorite.
Does somebody know how to make your exhaust crackle ? What tone is required ? I have straight pipe setup with resonator on, but want it to crackle and burbling

Honestly I think these pre-made exhaust systems or over priced. Go to an exhaust shop and have a custom exhaust done. On my RT I have SRT headers into 3 in midpipes with kooks high flow cats, x-pipe, flowmaster super 10's, no resomators and 2.5 in pipe all the way back and 4 in tips. It is loud and sounds amazing
