I love Star Trek, I though for me I think ISS Vanguard feel a bit more like “Star Trek” to me (with a healthy dose of Mass Effect thrown in). Can’t wait for my copy of ISSV to show up someday!

Have a little bit of the Attack Wing stuff, but it was difficult to get to my LHS to play. Coop/Solo is better for me! It's been ages since I played Attack Wing, but iirc The ships come with a generic class card for the ships so am pretty sure that I will get some use out of them. I loved the dial system trying to anticipate what the opponent was going to do. Hoping the AI is effective, it looks promising. Super excited to see a playthrough and am itching to order the game now! Was chatting to Colin a week or two ago about getting a sci fi game as they are sorely lacking in my collection to the point of total absence! lol Saw ST Alliance and mentioned it to Colin. ps I'm going to have to watch DS9 too lol
Yes its been a while since I have played this though it was X-wing for me. Only had one person to play with and he moved away. This Coop game looks sweet and I might need to watch DS9 again just to brush up on my memory
I used to be heavily into X-Wing, and most of my gaming friends are X-WIng guys. STAW never really grabbed me, so I never played it. I was well aware of the Aturi Cluster campaign Josh made for XWM and always hoped to be able to get a professionally printed version. Obviously that ship has sailed, but a buddy of mine finally got me and a couple other guys (also big X-Wing players) over to play through the first few missions of Alliance. We had a BLAST. I immediately picked up a ton of stuff to play and can't wait for more content (man, did FFG ever screw the pooch passing on this). The AI system is just amazing and the co-op game is incredibly fun.
I was in the same boat as you my friends we way more into X-wing. It has been a while since I have played it. This Coop system is sooo good. Glad you were able to enjoy it. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching
If I understand your question correctly. The expansions do need the core box to play the game. Unless you have materials from the game Attack wing. That said I’m not sure what you need from attack wing to make it so you don’t need the core box. Hope that helps thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍

Hi Bairnt! This is nice. I can't help but notice how extremely similar to XWing this is, and how the AI is almost exactly the same as the Heroes of the Aturi Sector fan campaign for XWing. Would you happen to know which one came out first? Also, did you ever play that XWing fan campaign? Happy stars trekking! PS: you're making me want to try that fan campaign again... :) PPS: Is it just me or is this game hard on color-blind people?

Im no expert but the ships scales seem totally out of whack? Cardassian ships seem way too smoll and bird of prey way too big D:

Cardassian Galor ships are 481 meters while the Birds of Prey are 248 meters long.
