I did ancestry and got pretty far on my maternal-paternal line. That side of my family came from Jalisco, (If the records and people are correct), stayed in Michoacan for about a generation, and moved to Gerrero. I found nothing on my paternal line, neither maternal nor paternal. My guess is that their records from Michoacan were destroyed as they fled to Guerrero during the Cristero war (at least thats what my dad tells me)
I'm Mexican born and American, raised and live the USA. I'm Moreno mexicano (Mestizo). Non-Latins always think I'm Filipino. Asian people come up to me speaking their language. Among Mexicans, I'm just another one of them. My DNA results shows, that I'm 79.5% In'dio (indígena) mexicano, 14.5% Ibérico (Iberian).
Fun fact: A lot of dads are not the genetic supplier of their children's DNA. Look it up; 23 and Me and many other places stopped publicly supplying the overall data on paternity years ago because it was shocking how frequently it happened.
I recommend Family Tree DNA. And make sure to get the Y chromosome test. They also do the percentages on Native versus European. But the Y chromosome is, in my opinion, the most important because it tells you the lineage of your forefathers.
@@Duquedecastronot Eurasian, some groups that came to the Americas did have Eurasian ancestors but that’s usually the really northern ones. We descend from ancient Paleo Siberians ancient East Asians and ancient Turkic ancestors. Mixing, new lands, animals, isolation from the rest of the world (for 30,000 years !! That’s during the ICE AGE) made us a new race of people

La guerra cristera saboteo los documentos de miles de personas del Bajío de México
Also a lot of that “European “ background can be actually Basque, which is pre-indo European,
“Pre-Indo European” is more language based than race based, Basque are more than likely related to the celts of Europe, like the Irish and Scottish
Among the 2% Asian are Filipino because of the Spanish Acapulco-Manila trade galleons.
And you can also add the Chinese and Japanese people who came in those times for the construction of the train railroad
Not just filipino. Slaves brought over from the Philippines included many other groups from Chinese to Javan, etc
I got a European maternal haplogroup from Jalisco, would you be able to trace it back?
My father, grandfather, and great grandfather we born in Texas. Couldn’t find an exact date or place of birth for my great great grandfather.
