@@hazelgovender4813 dear am making your banana puri for a hurdee on Saturday and please tell when should I make the banana puri and store in air tight container
@@roshumruth9104 I suggest you make it on Wednesday, allow it to drain the oil out until Thursday. You can decorate on Thursday and store in a container. The banana puri stays good for up to a week.
Hi Hazel. Tnx for sharing. Is the barfi dough like a biscuit dough? Or softer?
Hazel says it’s softer than a biscuit dough.
U are amazing
Thanks you
Thanx for the recipe how many mls is the melted ghee
It’s 1 cup or 250ml.
Could you please do a soji ball and soji cake recipe .
We don’t have a recipe readily available but I will do some research and see what I can do!
Also please see the comment under Shana Lawrence’s initial comment
Is the malasian cutter same as moon cake mold..

1 tin = 290g....we used half of that.
@@hazelgovender4813 thank you 😊
Thank you so much for sharing all your lovely recipes. Just a quick question, the cup measurement for the ghee is it 250ml because I see you are using a mug.
Yes...it is a thin mug and we measured the mugs content and it comes to 250ml
@@hazelgovender4813 thank you so much
Hi there just came across this recipe. Thank you for sharing. Just wanted to ask if it's possible to just use the canned condensed milk instead of making condensed milk?
Hi. To tell you the truth...I wondered the same but I have not tried it out. I just did not take the chance because the ingredients are expensive.
@@hazelgovender4813 thank you for replying. Ok i will try it this way and see. Please if you can share more of your sweetmeat recipes. Have a wonderful afternoon. 💜
Thank you for another lovely video. What brand of coffee grinder are you using?
It is a Thunder Stick. My brother bought it many years ago for me. I am not sure if they still sell it. But you can use any coffee grinder or even a food processor.
@@hazelgovender4813 thank you. I'm a hoarder of all kitchen and baking stuff. I have a coffee FL grinder. Just love yours 🙏🏽
@@vanashreegovender5976 I am a gadget freak too 😜
Great to see our favorite sweet meat guest chef 😀
Thanks
Thanks for the recipe Hazel. The cup you used looked much bigger than a teacup. What's the exact quantity of ghee to be used. Thanks
We measured out 250ml into the cup so it is 1 cup of butter ghee
Thank you

Thanks 🙏 Hazel. My recipe is similar. I use butter instead of ghee. Would be nice to try your recipe. Where can I source the beautiful mould from? Can I perhaps get it online somewhere. I doubt anywhere in East London. I just do the old fashion way in the tray and cut it out. I’d love to buy the mould. I’ll pay for postage if you can send it to me too. Thanks 🙏 Sending love from East London 🙏❤️🙏
I bought mine from the oriental plaza in Fordsburg from a baking shop. I can get them for you and send them to you.
Hi I googled...where can I buy the Malaysian cookie cutter and see a few suggestions. Bid or buy has them as well. They are very reasonable priced.
@@hazelgovender4813
Thanks 🙏 that’s so kind of you. I’ll appreciate if you can do that for me. I can EFT you the amount and then arrange to be picked up or however way we decide to courier. I love making sweetmeats too. I’m still to make your ladoo recipe. I like the different colours. I can give you my phone number. We can chat on WhatsApp if it’s ok with you. You’re extremely kind. I watch Aunty’s channel all the time. Bless you. Sending love from East London 🙏❤️🙏
@@hazelgovender4813 Thanks 🙏 so much.
Hii.. I love this recipe.. Would it be okay to replace milk with fresh cream?
I am not 100% sure but I think in the same quantity it should be okay. Not sure what difference it would make to the taste though.
I find the burfi a bit oily.i use quater cup ghee
Thanks for the information. I will surely try that.
Aap nay barfi ko color kaisay kiya tha pls bataen
Hazel used Gel colouring - liquid colouring that you put a drop in and colours the barfi mixture to blue or green or whatever colour you choose.
@@GaithreeDeviLuckan thanks 😊
Please may I know where u bought the oval biscuit cutter
Hi, Hazel got them at a store here locally. I think if you search online for Malaysian cookie cutters they do come up - but we will confirm with Hazel.
You can find them online or from any shop that sells baking stuff.
Can we use butter
Yes. You may in the same quantity.
Hello Hazel
Is this butter ghee
Hi. Yes it is
Substitute 4 coffee grinder mam thank u🙏
I have seen people using a sieve and you can use your hand to break down the bigger lumps of klim and cream.
U could use a food processor it works fine .
How much icing sugar u use
375g icing sugar
