- This is my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4X4 Laredo. I added a 2.5" Rocky Road Outfitters lift, along with Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks. A big thanks to www.twistedrigs... for helping with the lift. A highly recommended shop if you're having work done in Washington State. Tires and wheels are 33" Toyo RTs with 20" XD Rockstar 2 rims.
hey man I don't know if you will ever see this but I bought this car around August 2017 from Seaview Buick GMC in Lynwood, was just scrolling through RUclips looking at other builds, exhausts and such as stumbled on this. Crazy!
Awesome! I hope its treating you well! Every time I see the video I miss the Jeep.
Sick ride bro, take it off road and put the video!!
This is exactly what I want on my WK2 , thank you !!!
so hard tryin to find what I want my jeep to look like now finally got a perfect visual! definitely will be putting on a lift and rockstar rims on my jeep! great video plz make more!
Did you ever get your lift?!
no not yet but will soon adding a picture once I do too!
That chrome to black is a must 👌🏾
Thank you, Thank you for the video! Yes, visuals help those of us who are trying to decide! Your truck looks awesome!
First video I’ve found that shows the rockstar 2’s. Nice ride man!
Nice, I just put 265 65 18 landspyder AT tires on my grand and they are awesome and aggressive. My next addition is a 2.5 in RC lift
Sweet set up. I'm running with the b8 5100 and great. But I'm wanting new springs to get that lift... Great concept
Looks great!!! I have a 2011 Overland that's the exact same color as this. I'm gonna convert mine to springs and copy this look
Same thing here Jason. I’ve silver overland. Any update on your project? Did u converted it? I don’t know what are the exact parts
That thing needs to be off road my friend. 🤘🏼
Thank you for doing this food it was a tremendous help is exactly what I was looking for
Looks great bro ride on
Great looking wk2!
Grand cherokee are the best cars
looks good bro
Nice job bro. Looks great!
Looks great!
It would help if you included the wheel width & backspacing/offset…
The same tires can be fit on the original rims . Since I have limited and they come with 20 inch rims
Really great looking setup man!
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my login password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Uriel Cohen Instablaster =)
@Carter Lucian I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Carter Lucian it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my ass !
@Uriel Cohen no problem xD
Perfect
It looks great, I'm planning on ordering a RC 2.5 inch lift for my 2011 grand next week and bigger tires, im debating on going with the stock 18 in all terrain tires or stepping up to 33s
Great video and very informational. I have a 2012 WK2 V6 Laredo with QD1. Would this setup be a benefit to my JC?
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Perfect height
Thanks!
What offset are those wheels? They look perfect, I hate how most lifted grand cherokees are “stanced”
Hey I want to do the same lift as you but I'm unclear about the shocks did you only do the front or all around? I saw one of your comments where you said you wouldn't have done them, would the 33" tire have still fit? And lastly how wide a rim is that? Any answers would be great, thanks in advance and looks sick!
Nice WK2 Kyle. Just got myself a 2014 Limited Eco Diesel and I'm looking forward to getting my 33"x12.5" Toyo Open Country RTs on it. Kyle, did you buy the replacment control arms with your RRO kit? Does anyone know why they may need to be replaced? Could I just save myself some money?
Looks rewlly nice.... i have the same year make model and exact color❤❤❤❤
God damn that looks good! Are you running spacers on those tires?
hey boss, did you get the rocky road lift with the control arms or without?
Love it - thx for sharing
Is your front grill wrapped or plastic dipped? Looks great 👌🏽
Thanks! I just used Plastidip to keep it easy
Dope ride.
Recently bought the same Jeep. I was told you can’t lift it due to the suspension being adjustable air suspension. Obviously you lifted yours. Can you point me in the right direction on a lift kit simulator to this but in Canada.
The Overland edition is the one with adjustable suspension and, to my knowledge, those can't be lifted. This is a Laredo so the factory suspension is different
Kyle Lee I have the limited version
Love the ride. I just got a wk2 and also just bought the RRO 2.5 in the front and 1" in the rear leveling kit. I'm also looking at the adjustable bilstein 5100 shocks. I'm trying to do some research and sounds like some installation centers won't combine the two? Unsafe for the axel or something too much height?... wondering if you have any issues or should I go ahead and get the bilstein as well. Thanks man.
Did you put your lift? and how did it come out?
thanks. great vid.
Like he said it's a mall crawler. No off-roading done, but it looks very capable to do off-roading. Paint all the Chrome accents black even the badges.
Kyle, now that you've had it modified for a few months- Are you still pleased with the ride and handling? Any regrets?
Still very happy with the ride! The only thing I may have done different is save money by skipping the Bilsteins but there is no way for me to know how that would've changed the ride quality.
Love your jeep! I want to do the same to mine!
You wont regret it :)
How is this holding up at this point? Everything smooth no issues? No complaints??? Looks great.
No issues so far. Put about 2k miles on it and everything is still smooth. No weird noises or anything. Very happy
+Kyle Lee Good to hear. Notice any power loss with the bigger tire setup?
I'm sure its slower off the line but I didn't buy it for speed. I do have the Hemi V8 which helps maintain towing power though
🔥🔥🔥
Looks awesome man....I have the 2015 version of this truck would love to do the same setup as you have, how does it ride with those tires? Lots of road noise?
Road noise isn't too much loader and its not noticeable with music on. We'll see how that holds up as the tires get more wear though
Did you have to do any trimming in the fender liners to clear those tires ? Any rubbing issues ?
looking to lift my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm looking to get the same height that you have. Like yours I don't do much off reading, so it would be just for styling purposes. What all all did you put on to get the look you have?
Fucking mall crawlers gtfo
I know you sold the Jeep but, did you have any alignment issues after adding the lift? Thanks!!
Any way you could do an update video with the Jeep on level ground? Really want to copy your suspension setup. Thanks
I have since moved on from the Jeep and picked up a Colorado Zr2. I was always really happy with the suspension setup so have no problems recommending. Good luck!
That looks more raked than stock. I'm confused. What part # did you buy?
It looks great. I'm about to get a 2 inch lift on the front and 1 and a half on the back in hopes it'll look better. I have 32in bf Goodrich tires. I have 2011 as well. Quick question? How ,u h was your black grille!? I wanna replace mine for black cause I hate chrome? Any suggestions 🤔
I just used Plastidip on all the chrome parts. Worked great and much easier than pulling the grille
See I’m just a girl who is trying to do this crap on her own. So I just learning what plasitdip is. My other half’s rocker panels are all Corroded and rusted where we live up here in Maine in the salt eat away your vehicle literally. So duck tap and some boo do should do the trick
I wish I could show you my jeep. Your jeeps so much more “Gucci” as my son would say but it’s phat. With a PH lol
Kyle, how is everything running? You still loving it? Did you develop any rubbing and how is the ride? I am in the PNW and was thinking of having Twisted do mine.
I can not recommend enough the excellent work done by Twisted Rigs! The cost was probably half of what any other shop quoted me and he was nice enough to deliver my Jeep once the job was done. I have had no issues so far and loving the ride. The RT tires are marginally louder than stock but much more quiet than any MT I've had. Since this video I plasti dipped the back and added some black side rails. Definitely enjoying the new look Jeep :)
Hey, curious if you ever managed to stop by Twisted to get your Jeep done?
Sick rims bro!... is the stud pattern the same in a compass?
Thanks! Not sure if the pattern is the same as a Compass but mine is 5x127
KMC has removed these from the website under the grand Cherokee configuration. Saying that they don’t fit. Have you had issues with your wheels?
I have since sold the GC but never had any issues with the wheels or tires. No rubbing, no creaking, etc. Loved it while I had it and would recommend the setup for anyone interested.
Hopefully i get a reply from you ;).
I have a 2012 Jeep GC overland with the V8 5.7L Hemi engine, and i did the air to shock absorber conversion a year ago , but my front got super low recently while the rear is standing okay. I’m looking to get a good ground clearance just like yours. Do you think your specs (without the tires) on my jeep should do the trick , or i should look for stronger shocks?
The Overland edition is definitely a different beast so I would check with your local suspension shop before purchasing any equipment. I'm not familiar with the air conversion process, so not sure what else would need to be changed. Hopefully you are having fun with the project and post a video once complete!
@@kylelee7947 thankss , will keep look around and i’ll try to post a video
How does it ride now? Any chance you can link me everything? Having a hard time finding all the parts.
@Sean Moore wrong
Rocky Road lift is $295
Bilstein adjustable shocks is $1499
Rockstar 20x9 2s with Toyo 33s is $1800
You can keep your china made spacers.
The rims are they off set compared to stock or do you have spacers?
Nice, I've plasti dipped my Jeep as well but not sure about the grill.. how has it held up? I take mine off roading alot and just worried about rocks chipping it
Held up really well so far. I don't do much off-road but there is no peeling or chips so far. Super easy to wash too
hi , looks great . do you know the rim with and offset ??? also whats the exact numbers on your tires? is it 33'' or metric? also how wide is the tire Thank s
Thanks! The tires are 33/1250R/20 and I don't believe there is any offset in the rim
thanks !!! doy you know how wide is your rim ? :)
hey man ur jeep has a good set up i also have a 2011 grandcherokee but mine is the limited everywhere i go they tell me that there is no lift available other then a small half inch for the front to level it out also i blacked out my rear chrome lip the sits between the lights where it sayes jeep and i wanted to do my grill too just like urs but did u take urs out or did u just spray over it it looks great
I just sprayed the front grill while it was still mounted. A good tape job goes a long way and leaving the grill in saves tons of time. I've driven about 2k miles so far and no issues with any of the plsti dip. The leveling kit is much cheaper but I also limits the size of wheels/tires you can do. If your Jeep has Quadra drive then you may be out of luck.
+Kyle Lee it has the select track or terrain how many coats of plastidip did u use
I used 5 coats
What all needed to be replaced with this lift kit? Stock balljoints etc.
Have you ever had any problems with your steering rack or suspension noise in general?
So it appears the wheels are a 0 offset and tire is a 33" but how wide? And did you do the pinch weld mod or no?
I have thesame car, How much did this all cost?
Can you tell me what the tire measurements and offset are. Mine is being lifted today and I want to order the wheels and tires today..... Different well and tire. Similar though. But I need to know your size and offset. And did you do the pinch weld mod?
Have you had any problems with the front axles
How is the ride quality different from the stock suspension ?
Question does your Jeep have a setting for lifting it up in the center console?
looking to do the same set up what rim offset are the rims
I live on Vashon Island, a ferry ride away from Seattle. I was curious do you still have the Jeep?
No, I ended up selling a couple months ago
any mpg differences? and does this affect your speedometer calibration any? thanks
What is your tire size are they 295’s and did you ad the tow hooks in the front
33x what on the tires. And what's the part number on the shocks. Trying to pick up a pair
by any chance do you have a part number for the shocks and what the width of the tires 33x what. any good info would be nice. trying to purchese the same set up for my 2014
I got the same truck👌😎
The ride become more soft then stock tyres?
I am going to be getting the same lift. Different tires and rims though
where did you get the black grill?
Plasti dipped the grill. Super easy and held up really well
Sorry if someone already asked this, but do you know the wheel offset.
How much did that change the mpg?
sweet!
are the 33s 11.5 inch wide and if so did you have to do the pinch weld mod and get rid of the pesky bump in the wheel well
Robert Casto did you get an answer for this question?
Can you send me a link to the bilstein shocks adjustable hight please?
Is it hard to remove the chrome trim around the windows?
Should I straight pipe my jeep?
Does different tire size effect speedometer reading?
What's the part numbers for the shocks?
Sharp
Does your wheel shake at all after upgrading to those toyos?
No shake. Almost 2 years on and everything still in great shape
Hey how did you take the grill off and how many coats of plasti dip did you use
Actually I didn't remove the grille. I taped around and sprayed carefully :) Super easy and took about 3 coats. Still looks great 6 months later.
How has it held up over the last 1.5 years?
How has this held up for you so far?
What is the size of Toyo ?
nice!
whats the part number for the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks
Davey Mitchell I used these oon my 13 gc 24-225434 and 24-225441
You have air suspension?
What off set are the wheels
Did you need new control arms? Or wheel spacers?
No new control arms or wheel spacers at this time. The ride quality is great so far and no complaints. The control arms look pretty accessible so once the stock ones wear out I will replace them with the Rocky Road setup. Also, full clearance with the wheels and tires during turns. I had to bang just a little back in the front but nobody would ever know and the wheel well covers (with the rivets) are still on.
Very nice. Well it looks badass man. I for sure will be doing this to my Wk2 just need to save up for tires and rims. Thanks for the visual
What's the offset on the wheels?
nice
Regear?
are there wheel spacers on it if not it would look mean.
No wheel spacers. The tires come out a little just due to size but any more and I would for sure need mudflaps (which I dont like)
yeah i understand, if you put just the spacers on without a lift would the tires rub?
Why install lift kit, create a video, and then say NOTHING about how much ground clearance improved. Put the camera under the car.
