Another fun and memorable video. Enjoying this series as much as any we've done together. So many fantastic movies mentioned among the four of us. The fact that we've ranked and discussed 114 different movies out of a possible 120 in three episodes, shows the versatility and diversity in our personal tastes. Looking forward to the next seven episodes until we reach the top.
Good Afternoon All. Another very enjoyable video and nice to see a very varied selection of movies being discussed. This week 10 films that I enjoy came up. Have a great day.
Thanks Bruce...
Great episode guys. King Kong would make my list for sure Randy. Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a great pick. I love the MASH series but have never seen the film, though it's on my list. Great one boys.
Thanks Sam and thank you for your sympathies for my brother.
I’m so happy to see The Best Years of Our Lives on the list. That’s one of my favorite movies. Jurassic Park, Cool Hand Luke, The Wizard of Oz, and The Apartment are all great.
Both of us love Best Years of our Lives Jason? Excellent...thanks...
My no.1 is in here: ,The apartment'👍 Planes,trains...' is one of my favourite comedies 👍
And Fritz Lang ❤
Marx Brothers ❤
I am glad you like the vids Thomas - we are releasing 20-11 on Tuesday this week - we are almost done.
You picked some very good movies including my favorite Fellini movie and Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movies. I don’t think Conrad Veidt gets the credit he deserves.
The great thing about this series is that your lists are so different from each other but I personally find very favorite movies in all 4 lists!!!
"Touch of Evil", its cinematography is taught in Schools. Yeah, I like it better than "Citizen" too! Amazing Soundtrack by Henry Mancini! And when Orson Welles talked about the films he admires the most, he often referred to "Bicycle Thieves" (I knew great European films would refer to this series). Welles said that De Sica managed the unthinkable: to make the camera disappear!
Big fan of the original Robocop, I consider Verhoeven one of the most intelligent filmmakers! Some of his later directorial works ("Elle" and "Black Book") are among the best of his career!
"The French Connection" is a personal top 10 film, I consider it the unparalleled masterpiece of the "Director of The Exorcist". "To Live and Die..." is a great one but it deserved a different Soundtrack (Wang Chung did a good job though...)
Some of my favorite movies are made in the 20's and 30's...Buster Keaton, Fritz Lang, Erich von Stroheim..."Safety Last" is definitely one of them!
Glad u like our series!
“Touch of Evil” is a cinematic masterpiece. There will definitely be some 30’s movies showing up on my list.
