    I purchased this wallet with my own money and was not sent to me for review.
    But even if it was, I would still give my honest opinion. Getting "free" stuff doesn't sway my opinion either way while reviewing gear.

    I have 2 Finnigan wallets and 3 Thin Finn wallets. Love them all. Nate does excellent work. I put my debit card in the flap area underneath the tuck enclosure as a sort of quick-access pocket. Works great and I've never had it come loose!

      I’m this 🤏 close to getting this but fear it’ll be too big for my 5/6 card need. The thin fin is similarly beautiful but I just love the strap on the former! So then there’s the Franklin mini??🤔

      @@rossydv - Of all the LD wallets in my collection, I carry and use the Franklin the most. It's Nate's "Goldilocks" of his wallet lineup and is always in my rotation. Plus, the buck brown leather just keeps getting more beautiful over time.

      @@alanberry2930 I cant decide between the Franklin or the Finnigan. I want the Buck Brown color, but not sure what thread color would go best. Im thinking brown thread or caramel. Thoughts?

    What I do to have 2 quick access cards (debit and I.D.) is as follows. I insert the flap over those 2 cards and into the body. ID is behind debit card. The flap is grippy enough so that an upwards tug at the flap makes the id card shift up. Boom! Instant access. And what about that loose strap you say? Well...fold some cash over and it makes for a great improvised leather money clip.

    I received the Finnigan by the Lost Dutchman as a birthday gift. At first glance, it was odd to go from a simple 4-sided small wallet to this simpler Finnigan wallet. I'm sure I'll get use to it and will learn not to carry any unnecessary paper because there's no place to put it. It's a positive switch though!

    I have the original Finnigan and I love it. I have the opposite problem that some of you have with the rattling. I actually had to cut down the amount of cards I carry. A piece of advice for the rattling is to get two or three gift cards. They’ll fill the gap and you’ll have some emergency funds if you ever need it.

  • @jonathancaldentey4615
    @jonathancaldentey4615 2 года назад +3

    The rattle goes away pretty quick honestly. Remember the leather will flatten and shape itself to the cards within a couple uses.

    So I bought the Finnigan, and since I only carry about 6 cards, it rattles like you show here. I rarely carry cash. I kind of wish I bought the Thin Finn instead. But I still like it. Only other negative is there isn't much of a leather smell, unlike my Correa Creative model 3 wallet, which smells amazing.

      If you only carry 5 or 6 cards, and no cash, I think the Finnigan is slightly too big. When I carry 5-6 cards in it, the cards rattle around a bit.

    Lost Dutchman has great products the only downside to the company and not really a problem because the prices are great for the quality is they don’t offer discounts or promo codes.. when you go online to search for promo codes or discount codes they don’t work so that gets a thumbs down but the quality is definitely without a doubt 5 thumbs up just like your review 👍🏼

    • @ChrispyThings
      @ChrispyThings  2 года назад +5

      Yeah I don’t see discounts for Lost Dutchman.
      But honestly I don’t expect discounts from smaller companies. Most of them are literally just one guy making everything by hand.
      It they were a larger company such as The Ridge or Dango, even Trayvax then yes I’d want a discount code from time to time

    if you have a work ID in the wallet, can you tap to open doors or would you have to take the card out?

    • @ChrispyThings
      @ChrispyThings  2 года назад

      Technically yes because this wallet isn’t RFID protected. But that card would need to be right at the very end of the wallet.
      Some terminals require an actual “tap” of the card though. In that case definitely not

      Don’t know if you already ordered but Finnigan for sure. Also, he stated the cards rattle if you don’t fill it but eventually the leather molds to the number of cards you carry so you won’t have that problem if you carry less.
