Loving this series. Put my vote in for 36mm... I'm starting to appreciate the more subdued under-the-radar nature of this size and would love to get some ideas of what else is out there. So far I've owned the Lorier Falcon and Longines Conquest VHP in 36mm.

I have a 16.5cm wrist and 36-38mm is my usual sweet spot but I recently got a 34mm OP and I’m loving the smaller size and proportions and just overall comfort. I’m glad smaller watches are making a comeback! One of my most-worn watches when I first got into the hobby was a fashion watch in 34mm so it feels like I’ve come full circle in a way; would love to see a video with even smaller case sizes!

Really interesting Vid Teddy, as i have a small wrist around 6.25 i have always chosen watches around the 39mm to a max of 41mm( depending on the lug to lug being less than 49mm) . Recently purchased a Tudor Black bay 36 with silver dial and love the way its looks and feels on the wrist, would like to see a vid on 36 mm options

The Zenith Chronomaster is one of those watches that took me totally by surprise. I checked one out at an AD in Las Vegas, and it simply blew my mind. The size, the subtlety of the registers, the unbelievable finishing of the movement, the 10th second chronograph hand--all of these things conspired to make me fall in love. This watch is now near the top of my list. Thanks for the great suggestions, Teddy.

Ngl I legit checked 5 times the last hr hoping their would be a new video and here it is. Always a refreshing experience to my day, I also want to thank you for helping me get my first swiss from Tissot the Visodate powermatic a few weeks back. Its a beautiful timepiece and suits my wrist well given its 42mm sizing. Keep the work you are helping more people explore the true side and enthusiasm behind watch collecting.

I recently acquired my grail watch, which is a 36mm Explorer 124270. I have a 6 3/4" wrist, so I thought I would struggle with the size. My larger watches sensitized me to smaller cases, but I absolutely love this thing and now many of my watches feel too big. I'd like to see a vid like this on 36mm's. I know with some collectors, 38mm seems to be this unspoken minimum size for men's watches, but I'm really digging smaller watches now. Not sure where my collecting will take me next, but I suspect I'm gonna avoid anything larger than 40mm....that is unless I pull the trigger on a Speedy.

I enjoyed this series and your suggestions. As far as suggestions for upcoming videos in the series, I have two:
    1. 36MM for men. Watches in the 1950's and 1960's were 36 MM for men, plus in today's market, 36MM offers great value. I have a 6.5" wrist, and am not sure if 36MM is too small or not. Plus what is the resale value 5 or 10 years from now?
    2. Green dial watches in different price segments, say up to $1,000, 1-$5,000, and $5-10,000.

It’s cool as hell that the smaller fellas can wear awesome watches that fit their wrists and their tastes but Teddy, holler at me if you want a big guy’s opinion. I’m 6’4”, I weigh 240-250 (depending on the breakfast my beautiful wife starts my day with) and my wrists are almost exactly 8”. My stature closes me off to some sick watches and I kind of live vicariously through your videos and Ben’s Watch Club videos (I’ll pay my way to be there if you two ever collaborate because there’s no way that you and Ben wouldn’t be best friends right off the bat!). Teddy i’ll never admit how many hours i’ve spent watching your videos but i’m happy to admit how much you’ve helped me to appreciate the art of watches. Lastly, come on down here to Texas and I’ll show you around. We have some pretty cool horological history, believe it or not!

Every time I see a new Teddy video coming out, I wonder about all the content you're able to put out based on what is, frankly, a slowly changing marketplace. There aren't new releases every week, so by necessity you might wind up covering the same ground more than once. The subjects of the video can't help but be a little bit contrived, but they always seem to be good contrivances. Watches of a certain size/style/price range, etc..... Particular ones might not be of great interest to me, but they clearly could be to some people. While I might not always be turned on by the title of the video, I always watch, and I always enjoy.

A great series Teddy, I have to agree with the Longines sector dial, a stunning piece. The Hamilton Field mechanical is very hard to beat as well. The Cotton Candy bronze Diver 65 looks brilliant in the flesh but I don't think I could not carry it off at my age..... so my sister bought it and she loves it. Yes it's probably my fault she's purchased more mechanical watches in the last few years than before. Keep up the great work Teddy.

Funny on the timing of this video. Just got my Hamilton Kkaki with the H-50 yesterday. I
Anyway, I go to wind it and it's really stiff and on top of the normal ratcheting sound when winding, it's also 'clicking' a bit. Huh. I stop winding and pull the crown out to set the time and when I push the crown back in, winding is smooth with just the ratcheting as you wind sound. Fast forward a bit and I take the watch off, go to work and when I get back home, I go to turn the Hamilton's winding a few times and again it's stiff and 'clicky' on top of the winding just like it was out of the box. The same as earlier, I pull the crown out. push it in and winding is smooth.
Swiss watch quality my rump. I read MANY reports of this movement having issues and many being DOA right out of the box before buying but put that down to yeah, the occasional one will be DOA and then also take into account that many will just hamfist wind the thing like a gorilla and blow right past the fully wound stop. This overhyped piece of junk is going back tomorrow first thing. The fact that they keep pushing out this defective movement will keep me away from buying another Hamilton ever.

For the dive watch category I would venture to ask everyone to take a look at Certina DS Action Divers 38mm. Fabulous price-to-performance affordable automatic watch with Powermatic 80 movements and 300m of water resistance. Certina does not have any authorized dealer in the US, and in terms of pricing it is roughly at the same level as Seiko and Citizen automatic watches, so I guess it is understandable that it does not receive the attention it deserves. But Certina and Mido are my two "gold standard" affordable watch brands now.

Baltic HMS002 is something to be mentioned in 38mm dress watches.

Hamilton intramatic looks cool. Now I am not expert but looks somewhat similar to my vintage Eterna.

Hi Teddy. Thanks for your review. I think you should have included the Christopher Ward C65 Sandhurst in this one. I owned à C65 Sandhurst but just sold it to get à bestoke one, the C65 Royal Marines Commando. With the steel bracelet, my opinion is that it is just the best Field watch on the market. Even superior for me to à Rolex explorer I. The design is based on the previous military watch the Smiths W10. Highly readible and versatile. A lot of nice touches (the screwed crown is just fantastic). You have so much watch for the 1200 bucks!

Nicely done, thank you. I'd like to see what the market has for 40mm watches. Also, I'd still really love to see you do something similar on woman's watches, with the holidays coming it might be helpful.

I love 38mm cases... on a woman's wrist. I have a 7.5" wrist. Anything under 40mm looks like a child's watch on me.😓 42mm seems to be the sweet spot for me. What can you recommend for dress watches in the 40mm to 44mm range for me?

I'd have to add a number of Ming watches to this list as most of theirs are 38 mm case. I have a 15.5 inch wrist and own the 17.03 GMT in black grade 2 titanium which I find to be a lot more subtle than stainless steel, they are a great every day watch with short lug to lug of just under 44mm, thickness of 9.8mm, water resistance of 100m and because of the titanium are very light

Loved this video! Unfortunately didn't help on my search for a 38mm GMT.

I’m with you. Really want a sub 40mm True GMT with rotating bezel. Don’t think it exists

If you don’t mind an “office GMT”, there’s plenty of options. I can’t think of a true GMT of that size, the Tudor BB Pro is just 39mm though.

I like almost every one of the watches that are highlighted. I have a 7 1/2 wrist, so 38mm is way too big. As some others have mentioned, I would like to see a video featuring 36mm or even 34/35mm cases. I think the watch manufacturers are missing the boat. While they are catering to customers who prefer the larger "entire wrist" sized watches, they are forgetting the people my age, who have the funds to add to our old collections, but who believe that anything over 36mm is too large. I know some manufacturers have models in the smaller (normal) sizes, but I'm waiting for more to add more models in these sizes. The two Hamilton's are really beautiful watches.

Nice video. I have two of the watches you included. The Christopher Ward Trident Pro 600, and the Seagull. I regard the Trident as perfection, for me, but reckon the new 300 will be perfection+. And then there’s the Seagull. I simply see that as a little bit special. Works great (almost dressy) on a simple, black leather strap.
