Nice to see this radio up and running. It seems to be doing a great job, as it sounds really good to me. I can't fault you mate, adding another classic radio like this to your already awesome collection.
That First guy you contacted from Kentucky sounded like he was on an old Browning Golden Eagle sounded Good, they are a Good old unit. Love that old Midland Kevan I don’t think we got any over here NZ because of the FM mode but she’s a nice looking and sounding unit.👍
@gordonlowe8473 Hi Gordy, good to hear from you man. He's using an early Johnson Tube set, he does mention the model, but I'll be dipped if I can make it out? I went for Browning too, but he came back with a reply saying it's a Johnson something with a mk3 reciever??? What ever he's running it's certainly top quality in anyone's book. The Midland 150m started out as a 40 channel AM sets fcc only, but when cb took off in Europe and around the world they soon added extra channels and the dreadful Fairy Mary....
