Firework business continues to thrive despite fireworks being illegal in Colorado Springs

As we've mentioned, shooting off fireworks that are not part of a public display within city limits is illegal. Outside of city limits, certain types of fireworks are ok.

This was the most upsetting 4th of July in my Garden Ranch neighborhood because of all the extremely loud and dangerous illegal fireworks going off all night. There wasn't any way to stop it and some of us were afraid that the roofs of our homes would catch fire from the fireworks sprays falling down on our roofs. I've been in my home 54 years and this was the worst continuous noise I've ever heard. Each year it seems to get worse. Maybe in the future neighborhoods can have some kind of surveillance to prevent so many issues.
