Nothing stupid about it at all. The worst crossing in Melbourne and should have been removed 20 years ago.

Yeah, how stupid could people be for not wanting to be stuck at this thing during peak hour for 30 minutes at a time, because each train needs to slow down to walking pace to clang its way across.
It's just so magical.
