I love this, the white of her mark is a little imposing though, the brightness of the white is distracting. Other wise I really love this and would love to see more.
Honestly, the book cutie Mark makes sense cause in the series she writes about her friendship lessons so I imagine in this kinda universe she kinda blogs about it
I'm so glad you mention the different purposes of the designs. I often see redesigns that others would be like 'omg they should look like this in the show!' and it's just. A MILLION DETAILS that aren't cost-efficient. The differences when approaching a design is huge!
I like Twilight, because she's relatable in many ways, we're both bookworms, both studious, and have a more challenging time meeting others (I'm more like Season 1 Twilight with my social skills), and as Rainbow says, we're both "eggheads". But that isn't all, nor is it the main focus. I've come from your Rarity redesign, watching this one now, and soon I'll watch AJs. Your version of mlp is really facinating! It's how the show should have been made. Don't even get me started on the designs. They're all fantastic, I like slightly more complex designs.
i too relate quite heavily to twilight sparkle! me and her are like two peas in one singular pod. honestly i hope that me and twilight will meet some day dont you agree? :3
Twilight is not my favorite pony, but the way you draw her here is very pretty
To me the green, colors of her bag, and colors of her cutie mark beside the yellow look too warm and out of place with her otherwise blue, purple, and pink design. I would’ve made the browns more desaturated and a bit darker. And I know the green was supposed to be an accent but it’s a bit out of place since it’s only in two places. I would’ve used the yellow from her cutie mark since it’s already incorporated in the bag buckle, cutie mark, and sort of the tips of her hair. It’d fit with the starry twilight theme because her eyes would look like two big stars
Otherwise, a very cute design :)
I like the re design. It looks really good. I also like the backstory you made for her. Honestly it's better then the one they gave her in the show.

The green in twilight works so much more well than you think. You based her color pallete off of twilights where a rare phenomenon can happen called the green flash

I did a redesign on Twilight as well. In fact I resigned not just her ALL characters from the MLP generations but as different animals I think I kinda got their color schemes right I don't know if I did got the colors right for the G1 ponies. After all G1 is old and I wasn't born when it first aired I only saw it and G3 on DVD

I also gave my twilight redesign glasses, but it's because I have the headcanon that she def was the kid that sat inches away from the tv whenever discovery channel, the news, or whatever informational show she found came on and that ruined her eyesight lmfao.

About the glasses idea, i think twilight whould wear glasses all the time. More like she would only wear them while reading, so maybe they could have been like... poking out of her bag? Idk, just a thought

I think you should have picked aa different contrasting colour because in character design a very bright green represents evil and a teal green is more good like for fluttershy and the white in her cutiemark is to overpowering and the cutiemark is just too bigbut its really good and the glasses would be a good edition

I've only just found this channel, and I absolutely just love the way that you draw (so your style) and how you give a backstory behind the redesign. It's very original and entertaining, and your voice is quite soothing and fits with the theme/aesthetic of this channel (dunno if that was intentional or not haha)

I love all of your pony designs! Your take on everything is spectacular. I couldn't help but notice that when you added the light purple under one eye you didn't do it to the other? Was this on purpose? All that said, I adore these designs! Watching all these videos for the 2nd time now😊
The only thing I can say I don't like about this redesign, is the cutie mark. xD It is SO different from the overall theme of the character appearance that it is a little jarring for me. However, that's the only gripe I have. The rest of her is really pretty :3

Hi gnome, I have 2 questions in cases of characters ...
1 you mentioned Tom Treanch from Hazbin Hotel is your favorite character. Can I ask why? Im just curioes....
And 2. You mentioned you are " Non binary", and My question is what do you think of SNOWFLAKE from Marvel s NEW WARRIES ..I with the rest of internet think Marvel went full " WOKE" and it didn t end up good for them...Moust peopke think that those characters done were very VERY badly , especially SNOWFLAKE and SAVE SPACE.... and Im curioes whats your thoughts about them ? Since one of them is non binary.....
I'll answer your questions in order!
1) Tom Trench is my favorite because his design is legitimately really good to me and his jokes were some of the only jokes that I laughed at, plus I enjoy his voice and over all vibes and his name is wonderful.
2) I think it's cool of Marvel to try to include different communities in their works however it's very clear that they really didn't ask anyone who is nonbinary about their character. The name 'Snowflake' is incredibly disrespectful and derogatory to not just trans folks(NB included) but also anyone else in the LGBTQ+ community and people with trauma. In my opinion, they need to change their name. I don't...hate? the design, but it could be better and I wouldn't be opposed to the crew redesigning Snowflake.

Not a fan of mlp really, used to be but then they kept adding seasons and it got a lot worse I think after time, as adding seasons on and on does tend to ruin the initial story of the show and overuse ideas, but all of that aside I love this design, and I like your story a bit better then the shows original story as well :).

uhh, I just noticed in the original design of the show's, twilights' hair has bi-colors...( sorry this is irrelevant, i just felt to point that out)
