LYRICS
No matter how far I run, I always end up back here
No matter how far I go, I always end up back here
Took me two years to write this song
I wanted it perfect, no wrinkles in it
Took me a long time to come clean
To be honest, the truth’s so ugly
Took me a long time to come home, I didn’t think you’d get me
I had too much explaining.
No matter how far I run, I always end up back here
No matter how far I go, I always end up back here
In the mirror, in the mirror, in the mirror, only in the mirror
I always felt so out of place
In a crowded room, I speak too soon
Yeah I put a big smile on my face
I can’t let them know it’s all for show, No
Took me a long time to come home, I didn’t think you’d get me
I had too much explaining
No matter how far I run, I always end up back here
No matter how far I go, I always end up back here
In the mirror, in the mirror, in the mirror, only in the mirror
I’m tired of running

I'm 52 years of age and have been a ska music lover my whole life from I was 12 years of age. Madness selects specials bad manners. All fantastic groups. I only came across the interrupters a few weeks ago and what can I say. WOW. Amazing. They have brought ska to another level. I haven't stopped listening to them from I first heard them. From NORTHERN IRELAND keep going and keep playing brilliant music that yous do. SKA FOR LIFE.
I'm 66 Dave and I love this music. I was into the bands you mentioned as well as The English Beat. My son introduced this band to me. It's great to hear this music again.
@@delby66 Yes Stephen it's always good to here this music. It's here to stay.
My mum was a punk she is now 50 so i grow up listening to the likes of madness Siouxsie and the Banshees etc . . . But i do enjoy these as well 😅
I'm only 41. Two tone was my life! ❤️ love you guys!
dear dave i'm sure everyone loves ska and nobody knows it
The specials, rancid, green day and madness in a blender!
A Message to Future Generations, Don't let this song die. It's APRIL 2022, let's see how many legends are listening to this masterpiece
Age 73 and I love this song. Besides, wolves need some good press.
The Interrupters are great. Will be seeing them for the third time in September when they are playing with Sum 41 in Portland in September. Great uplifting Ska music and an underrated band. People need to reach out and discover them.
Just bought my PIT ticket for their show this Monday in Baltimore. Saw them last August for the first time and they were absolutely amazing! Seriously can’t wait for round 2
😎🤙
2 years making this song seems worth it
With each new album and song, The Interrupters are staking a legitimate claim as the best ska band of all time
It's got a "No Doubt" kinda vibe. I like it!
I think so too 💪
I thought that when I heard this on the radio too. Really dig it.
The Vocals are similar, great 👍👍👍😉😊
Same. I like this ladies voice better though. More range
@@thewildroots4491 Agreed, Aimee has an amazing voice.
Being British and growing up listening to Madness , The specials The beat The selecter. And bad manners in the 80s and more recently over the years the hotknives , skin deep , the rough kutz. And mighty mighty Bostones. Didnt really know too much about the interrupters until a couple of months ago. I was reading a old scootering magazine and saw a review of the last album Google them on you tube and wow I was amazed by how good they are . And keeping the ska/ punk beat alive wow . Definitely already in my top 10 bands . Brilliant
Me too ... 😉👍👍
The Interrupters have a phenomenal track record of great songs, uplifting songs, rallying songs, etc... this might be their most important song. For a ska band to do a serious take on mental health has the potential to be a game changer for a lot of lives, even beyond the ska/punk scene. I had a feeling that we would have a ton of epic music coming out from the pandemic, I'm glad that we have bands like the Interrupters to help steer those songs in a postive way.
The more personal, the better music gets, in most cases I think it's true. And Interrupters are so talented, they seem to be so genuine people
Don't forget the absolutely AMAZING shows..... THANK YOU!!!!!!!
That's a weird take on a very generic, uninteresting song.
Lots of punk bands have been singing about mental health for the last forty years.
@@JustinLesamiz that's a weird take on a very personal song. Yes, there has been a history of taking on mental health issues within punk music for a long time, but not always with such an explicit explanation from its writers. If you feel it's very generic I'd recommend checking out some of the interviews surrounding the release and also the documentary about the band which will fill you in on some of the history behind it. Hope that helps :)
@@JustinLesamiz also worth mentioning the OP never said it's unusual for punk bands to tackle mental health issues in their music :)
My daughter is 5 and we both love that song!
I'm a die-hard heavy metal fan, but there's something about the sound, spirit, and energy of a well written punk song that can't be beat imo. You guys do an amazing job and continue to keep punk music relevant in 2022. I never used to think any good bands came out after 2000 until I heard 'Gave you Everything' one day on the radio at work. Keep it up!
You simply couldn't be more accurate. I can totally relate.
Well the 2 genres are closely linked on at least a base level. Once people figured out they could pick up an instrument and play literally anything though the 60's and 70's the ethos of "We do what we want, not what were told" birthed punk. It's where sooo many got their start before they learned more than 4 chords and actually got good. Many "metal" bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Motorhead cover a variety of punk songs. Hell Slayer did an entire album of punk covers. It's like any genre: there's some good punk, some bad, but we all have different taste and there's something for everyone

No Doubt vide. Not a bad thing ❤️
I teared up at the end. So much emotion. Amy poured her heart out on this one. Beautiful.
Same agreed.
I love this so much! And loved seeing you in Milwaukee! Super special experience for me, as Sum 41 is a core band for me, but seeing you all was a first for me, and you got me with She’s Kerosine and Gave You Everything. Been pumping those ever since the show while I wait on my Fight the Good Fight Vinyl to arrive. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!!! ❤

For sure id luv to hear them doing something with Suggs/Madness
I love the Madonna Vogue tribute at the end of the video. Classic nod the 80s in this video. So simple and yet so emotional . I love it
This is great, and Chaise Lounge by Wet Leg has an 80s vibe too.
We love you for who you are, Aimee ♡
You are all wonderful people and musicians!
Keep on rockin'!
Oh my God, she in a dress and tie. Oh I'm in love!
Aimee screaming out "No matter how far..." gives goosebumps every time.
I've been a song writer, performer, and an addict my entire life. Music has been a therapy for me for the 32 years I've been playing shows and touring. Lately, it hasn't been working to bring back my dopamine and serotonin. I played a great show on a Monday last night, and I'm already broken. This song is extremely relatable. I appreciate it more than you know. Keep up the great work. Hope to open up for you guys at some point. See you from the pit in fall.

Keep going strong bro 💪 we are in this together
No wrinkles in this song, it's awesome!
57 years old fart here!
I started off with Glam then Punk moved to Heavy Metal then Grunge.
It's all bloody great!
I'm a 50something old punk and I hear people say all the time that there's no good music made after the 90s. I always point them to The Interrupters. These guys kick ass!
This band helped me thru the pandemic and when I lost my job. This band up beat style kept my mood up. Can’t wait for the new album.
yep she is awesome i need to see a full set list i saw them at the last warp tour
😍 That's the best thing about ska. "No matter how far you roam, you always end up back here!" More of the same please.
3 weeks? The should be @ 3 million views by now. Im 40 and going back to my roots. The interrupters made a spark. Can't wait till June 11th, I'm going to dance the night away.
Waiting for the day The Interrupters headline their own tour so I can take my girls (7&6) to see their favorite band! Although Live from Tokyo on RUclips will have to do for now!
Omg! They are back!!! A new song! New hit! I liked even before the song ends. Love them! They saved me at quarantine times. When was so hard to bear their songs made me feels high again!!!! From Brazil here. Please come to São Paulo as soon as possible kkk
☝️☝️☝️ The Interrupters helped me quit drinking. When I'd feel like a drink I'd listen to "Title Holder" and know that I could defeat addiction!
@@wilthomas good for you bro!
@@wilthomas I was in quarantine, then I knew them. Every song left me happy but Turntable sang my life that moment. It seemed like I didn't have anything but I had music. I played my acoustic guitar and thought with myself "better days are to come" and now they came out. I am with friends and family again doing the things I love to do. Everything is better now for me.
Yeah, we want a South America tour as soon as possible! Kisses from western Argentina!
@@slow1874 Yes! Perú too!
Love this band so damn much. There's something about their energy, that always puts me in a good mood when I'm having a crap day. I'd die for a chance to see them live.
I've seen them live a few times. If you ever get the chance to take it. Their shows always kill and they've been one of the best acts at every festival I've been to with them.
@@gunnerriley976 Oh, I definitely will. Last time they came to Philly, I wanted to go so bad but nobody else would go with me...next time, I'm going whether someone else wants to tag along or not. Not missing out again.
Really wish ya'll would tour with The Offspring 😍
Can we appreciate how they switched their wardrobe around? Aimee usually has the leather jacket and the more casual while the others have button up sand ties on
So excited for a new song!
They've got such a perfect timeless ska sound. Hard not to love em. I even catch my 7y old daughter singing and dancing along
The most underrated band of the times.
Ska is my jam. My four year old daughter loves you so much. Thank you. You better not go anywhere for the next 50 years because you got a die hard fan. Please come to Montana!

The level of songwriting with these 4 is so strong. It’s not always easy to differentiate yourself from the millions of other punk bands playing the same power chords, but EVERYONE loves a good melody. To me, That’s a tremendous part of what makes two-tone, and punk rock so great.
Very Beautiful Song!!🥰 Has a No Doubt vibe!!🥰 Long live Ska… The Interrupters!!!🤗🥰

Grew up in Vegas. Moved out of state finally. This is refreshing.
Found this because I looking at a map of the country where indie is the popular genre of choice. Which lead to me finding this song.
I moved to a state where country is supposedly popular, but I don’t really hear it in the biggest city in the state.
Though I have realized environment plays a role on the types music you will be in the mood for as well you could feel out of touch listening your old tunes.
Studied music theory for 18 years and always heard about indie just never really heard it from the car stereos in Vegas. So it’s nice to kinda be in the mood for something new. Thanks
