Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always it makes me sick when people start fires absolutely disgusting yes they will probably build houses on the site have a great evening xx
This is a great documentary of the fire incident Stephen and the drone footage is just stunning in the good weather. Excellent quality too. Thank you for such a professional presentation again. Take care of yourself out there.
Hi Stephen😊I worked there in 1962 in the Civil service at Warbreck Hill Premium Bonds ERNIE = On IBM Punch Card machines. It was a great place to work. I left when I got married and went to London.Thank you for the memories 👍Sylvia now 75yrs
Thanks for the video Stephen, there has been a lot of fires recently one round the back of me too. Just hope there were no rough sleepers there always a worry with fires. Lovely houses in the area cost plenty I'm sure. Please would you use your drone again, nifty bit of equipment isn't it. It does look like a prison though.😊😊😊
The drone footage is amazing Steve, another interesting video. I know someone who used to work there. They moved out about a year ago to a temporary location in Peel Park, not too far from the Tesco Extra, until the new town centre site will be ready. The man who owns Bispham Station Cafe showed me a plaque on the wall of the cafe, which according to ordnance survey is the highest point on the Fylde Coast. Is he right, or is where the water tower is, on a higher spot? I love telling people that Bispham Station Cafe is the highest point on the Fylde Coast because it's my favourite place in Blackpool especially on clear days. Xxx
Thanks Breda. Maybe it's the highest point of the promenade? Knowle Hill, where the water tower is, shows as being 35 metres AMSL against 23 AMSL for Bispham Station.
Started my career there in 92 when they were finishing building. Moved when it shut 30 years later.. very sad to see rooms I worked in for many years gone. But we all knew this would happen
Hi Stephen. A great video with fantastic drone footage. You should use your drone more often. The water tower looks interesting. Plenty of space to build new houses. There are some lovely houses in the area. There have been so many fires in Blackpool now and this one looked very big. Hope that you have a nice quiet Sunday. with nothing else kicking off. 🤞🥰👍❤️
I'm impressed with the drone Stephen some really good images you have shared. It seems it would help with further video content. Thanks for your interesting videos 🙂
Several fires of late in Blackpool Stephen just a day or so after that car sales fire. Makes you wonder if arsonists are at play. Nice drone footage incidentally 👍
Stephen, I walk my dog every day on Farleton Knott in South Lakeland. I can see Blackpool Tower and The Water Tower on the horizon. You should have had a look at the Devonshire Road Rock Gardens, just by the water tower. A video in itself - a hidden jem! DHSS buildings were originally hospital buildings for the wounded inWW2, I believe.
Most definitely! I did scope out the rock gardens last year & meant to do a video when it was clear, and I could see the Bowling Fells, but never quite got round to it.
You know what Stephen I thought it looked like a concentration camp. 😮 massive place. Slap bang in a residential area. The drone footage showed the real damage. Thanks Stephen.
Love the drone footage. I worked there for many years until I retired. Sad to see it all abandoned amd now burnt-out. Love your comment it looks like a prison though!!! It closed last year I believe.
The big yellow hose is the from the major pump units provide big amount of water to the fire appliances on site as bet hydrants on site turned off and the ones on streets around site got no power in them
Hi! I worked there for 30 years, very sad to see this, but was omly a matter of time🙄 the building was emptied of all furniture etc, in 2023, we have all got moved to different buildings until the one in town is ready.
Yes brov, hope you're all good....Great vlog....I believe, half the lot, out of the metropole (fresh off the 🚢 boat)..... moved in.....hence....you know.....
14:30 deffo using that land for new houses,i know coz i used to work on building sites as a traffic banksman.they be small and pokey not spacious and stylish like those 30s semi's by water tower!
Hi Steve ☺️ keep it up you are doing a great job and having fun making some brilliant videos superstar Ali Walsall west midlands england junction 10 m6 Walsall churckery up the walsall
hi 👋 Stephen is that the department Work and pension maybe it was done deliberately if this is true it's not right kids are getting away with murder. they have no respect it's getting worse please be careful an other fantastic video wow the drone is brilliant thank you Stephen ❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I used to visit Warbreck hill DWP about 3 times a week about 25 years ago for my job. The buildings as they are now look newly built, but when I last visited the buildings they were a similar layout but looked to date from around the 50's I thought. I was told by a staff member back then that the layout was because it was first used as a hospital?? hence the long corridor and rooms off each side (wards). I don't know if that was true or not.
I worked there as a cleaner the longest corridor is quarter of a mile long. All dwp staff had to leave by the 16th June 23. 3 of us stayed on to finish off all the office cleaning before handing keys back to landlord. So all my hard work went up in flames lol. My parter worked up there 30 years.n yes definitely like a prison lol.
Think hospital ones longer tbh. It was all mirror image rooms etc. At 1 point early one they could hold about 70 in 1 office but then dwindled down as time went on n then during covid a lot worked from home but had to go in twice a week. When it closed some went to peel park some at Hesketh house in Fleetwood don't no if it will change when new buildings open if they will have to go back in every day.
Funny old world we've seen the water tower from afar so many times and we nearly got up close and personal yesterday, that would make a good drone short close up with the tower, Great drone shots of the DWP but call me cynical if you must but this could be one of those helping hand fires where no one finds out how it started, happens all across the country on certain buildings, One thing being an old government building must of had a few brown envelops around..... allegedly....... Happy Sunday.
I never went there myself, but I do remember signing on after I left school. That was at the Tyldesley Road office, which of course, has been closed for years.
Going by the Drone footage, This Building is made up of over a Dozen Separate Units. How do 9 of these seperate units catch fire at the same time and in such a short amount of time ? A R S O N !
Had my driving test there in 1987, passed first time. In the office I was surprised to see lots of "learn the road not the test route" posters, though my training had included the test route - but not the notorious Bispham roundabout.. Although I would not defend the government from allegations of corruption I doubt they would stoop to the "when there's a flame there's a claim" paradigm, so it will be interesting to see the outcome of this particular debacle.
Rather poignant sight for me when I flew my Mini2 over this morning, as I was one of the first civil servants into the building in 1989 - I installed all the data network hardware before people moved in.
Last night I honestly thought it was just the usual Friday night in town I heard all the sirens about 11PM ish. I actually did a few months work in those offices years back. You could still smell the smoulder in the air this morning! We going for the usual inside job, kids setting fires or a legitimate electrical fault?
I was thinking the same thing. With modern fire doors in all government buildings, the only way for fire to spread is via the roof, but none of these roofs* seem connected Rooves?
Strange how fires start when someone wants the land without the buildings standing on it.
Accidentally on Purpose.
Looks nice and sunny in Blackpool Stephen,as the new dwp building opens the old one burns down!!!! Controversial me thinks
Actually, the new one set on fire before the old one did!😂
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always it makes me sick when people start fires absolutely disgusting yes they will probably build houses on the site have a great evening xx
Empty building in Blackpool going up in flames - never heard of such a thing!!
Warbreck Hill used to be headquarters for the Disabilty Living Allowance benefit.Still got letters of my Dad’s that came from there years ago.
Brilliant drone footage stephen that was a bad fire remember the hacketts hotel too lovely weather in blackpool 👍
This is a great documentary of the fire incident Stephen and the drone footage is just stunning in the good weather. Excellent quality too. Thank you for such a professional presentation again. Take care of yourself out there.
Thanks Peter.

Called there twice, 1970 for motorcycle test, and car in 1972. Surprisingly passed 1st on both!! That junction just as congested then.🏍️🚗👍😄🇬🇧
Thanks
Thanks Jan 🙏🙏🙏
That was some fire and in a nice area. I also like your drone. Well done.
Thanks Edward.

Thank you Steve for this this information, I should have known that they usually build water towers on the highest point of a town. Xxx
Wow massive damage love the video great ❤️👍Drone footage is so good ❤️👍
Steven people of Blackpool should refuse to pay there council tax never seen so much litter and crap in a town
It's probably because children haven't been taught anything useful at school for decades, like their responsibilities.
Blackpool by air loved the drone shots Stephen and a video of the water tower and where the farm used to be would be very interesting. Stay safe mate
I've been meaning to do a video about that area for ages.
Kirkham open prison has a similar layout. The fences a lower that's why it's a cat D prison.
Evenin there seems to be quite a few fires just lately it will all be pulled down now houses are coming brilliant video till the next one 😊
Definitely need to get more shots of Blackpool with the drone Stephen, hopefully there was no one sleeping rough in there.
I will try!
Started my career there in 92 when they were finishing building. Moved when it shut 30 years later.. very sad to see rooms I worked in for many years gone. But we all knew this would happen

Great footage of the fire 👍 Nice to see more new areas of Blackpool and the customary view of the Tower 👍👍👍
Blimey Stephen that must have been some fire the way it has spread along building to building in sections, great footage, really shows how bad it was.
Could you do a review of your drone if possible stephen great video as always
That is a good idea. I will see what I can do.
Great video Stephen 👍 there will be no green spaces soon
Thank you Steve for Sharing x

It's Norcross that was the hospital, not Warbreck House, which is much newer.
Thank you Steven
Would be great to see some airiel videos more often Stephen. keep up the great work mate.
Like everywhere every empty bit of land always new houses especially student accommodation
Brilliant video Steve
You know what Stephen I thought it looked like a concentration camp. 😮 massive place. Slap bang in a residential area. The drone footage showed the real damage. Thanks Stephen.
Hope all ok over there all kicking off 😊
Hi Stephen great video
Love the drone footage. I worked there for many years until I retired. Sad to see it all abandoned amd now burnt-out. Love your comment it looks like a prison though!!! It closed last year I believe.
There was 2 entrances for staff…the main entrance and one from Lime grove. So much wildlife there 😢
I worked in that building years ago before it went to the DWP it belonged to what was Family credit
The big yellow hose is the from the major pump units provide big amount of water to the fire appliances on site as bet hydrants on site turned off and the ones on streets around site got no power in them
Thanks for Video again Stephen xx
Do you know roughly when your calendars 2025 are available please Stephen xx

Massive fire 🔥 lots of spare land for building houses in that area
awesome drone footage

What a strange burn pattern? Love the new drone, giz a go! 😅
I worked at the Warbreck site for 28 years. It was a great building to work in. What a sad end for the building.
Stephen, I'm currently in Tenerife. You must go to Tenerife, Costa Adeje, Las Americas. You'll do a fab vlog checking it all out😊....plenty of trees 🎉
Does anyone know if it Was it deliberate by a twisted firestarter or on accident.. great drone footage 👍
Think that hose on road was hard suction for pumping from water source like pond or river etc

Hmmmm, suspicious. Lots of council fires in Salford too.
I was there last night videoing it. The smoke came right over my house .
Developer's lighting up properties again to get planning
Looks like a hospital
Always the same when there is an empty building.
Must be a way to get planning approval quicker
I worked there as a cleaner the longest corridor is quarter of a mile long. My Granddad used to work at Crossleys!
Great One Pal .
The drone is a brilliant addition to the channel stephen, that fire definitely wasn't arson no not a chance. 😄
Ta pal. The fire is defo dodge.
Great video as always. So sad to see buildings destroyed. What's the music in the background called?
Thanks. Got the tune from Soundstripe, Lunerah Pinky, Promise.
That shop with the couch and fridge outside was once Barnes s i was a paperboy there in the early 70s
Nice one Steven someone had enuff of the DWP cos they dis not get the Giro 🤣🤣🇬🇧✌️
i remember in the 80s when i joined po we used to stock free envelopes to warbreck house
Funny old world we've seen the water tower from afar so many times and we nearly got up close and personal yesterday, that would make a good drone short close up with the tower, Great drone shots of the DWP but call me cynical if you must but this could be one of those helping hand fires where no one finds out how it started, happens all across the country on certain buildings,

Haven't a few hotels gone up in flames too in the past? What the hells happening with all these fires?
When I hear sirens I know Stephen will be there!
Great Video Steve I Enjoyed It Is This The Office Were You Sign Up For The Dole? They Need To Rebuild Some Of The Buildings For Affordable Housing
I never went there myself, but I do remember signing on after I left school. That was at the Tyldesley Road office, which of course, has been closed for years.

All that scrub land used to be allotments.

That is not very long ago. I hope they got good value for the cost of building it.
I worked there in the 80's. It felt like a prison then! Got out after 3 years, on good behaviour.😁
So did I as a clerical assistant - £6 a week!!!!!!
Last night I honestly thought it was just the usual Friday night in town I heard all the sirens about 11PM ish. I actually did a few months work in those offices years back. That’s where they sort out or refuse disability benefits but now moving inside Blackpool city centre.
It's so close to the houses on the right of it and they are lucky that it didn't jump .
The fire service was thinking about evacuating local houses.
Hiya Stephen good video matie 🙃
Looks like 9 separate fires to me… I’m sure the investigation will be a standard “ thorough “ job.
I was thinking the same thing. With modern fire doors in all government buildings, the only way for fire to spread is via the roof, but none of these roofs* seem connected
